Provide warnings for recent legislature changes in selected country
Proton should provide a warning note against countries that have made recent legal changes that impact the internet. This could include things like the UK's Online Safety Act causing websites to behave differently or more serious legislation that allows the government to track or control internet access.
The goal of this feature would be to warn Proton VPN users about impending or recently implemented law changes for their awareness and safety online.

allow port forwarding on a router-based wireguard vpn
Please consider allowing port forwarding on a router-based wireguard vpn. I am unable to find any documentation on whether this is currently possible or not. I have an openwrt router using a wireguard vpn. I am happy with it, but it would be better if I could forward a port into my home network to allow plex access from outside the house.
Cheers!

Allow Kill Switch to block Internet when VPN failed to connect on startup.
The kill switch allows you to connect to the internet if Proton VPN failed to connect (during start-up) or if you manually disconnected.
It would be more secure if it only allowed connections through a VPN.
I personally connected to multiple public hotspots without noticing that my VPN was actually off.

Developing a VPN Protocol like Nordlynx
Hey,
I know that NordVPN uses its own VPN protocol based on Wireguard (called NordLynx), giving the possibility to get more privacy and faster internet speeds, since they can tweak the protocol however they want. So why not do the same with ProtonVPN? The new protocol could be named ProtonVortex, emphasizing the faster speeds but still secure environment this protocol would allow.4 votes -

VPN on Apple Watch
VPN on Apple Watch. You are unprotected if one of your devices is not protected. It's not enough to protect the mobile, the watch goes with you and uses all types of connections.

Each fresh login receives a new IP address. The Windows app requires opening the VPN to view it. I would like to see it in the taskbar app.
In the previous windows version, I could see the IP address without opening the full VPN.
Not so with this latest version. When monitoring security events on websites I need to see what my IP address is to determine if it's my traffic or something else.

Inverse Split Tunneling for Firefox extension
Currently, Split Tunneling in the ProtonVPN extension for Firefox allows excluding certain sites from using the VPN. It's ok. However, in certain circumstances, the opposite may be preferable: enabling ProtonVPN only for certain critical sites and leaving all other sites to browse without it.

Proton VPN firewall, post quantistic and other improvements
- the possibility to link proton profiles to the account, so when I use the vpn on different devices I can find my own profiles
- the possibility to change the server with a dedicated button which will follow the current VPN settings (same type, protocol, country, and so on) just using a different server
- the integration (for mobile Android) of a firewall which can block internet connection for selected apps from user. This would be really really useful to block internet connection to app that doesn't need it (clock, calculator, file manager, and so on). In the market place there are…

Set a Favorite Server as Default
In the next Proton VPN update, I suggest that the user have the option to set a favorite server as default. That way, whenever someone turns on their computer or phone, they are logged in directly to it. For example, I really like the performance and speed of server 101 (Brazil). But having to select it every time is quite inconvenient.

Circumventing Censorship and Connection Issues
In regions with strict censorship, NAT mode, campus networks, and other specific environments, a proxy is often required to log in and connect; moreover, success largely depends on luck, and speeds are quite unstable.
I have reviewed the latest proxy protocols—such as hy2, xhttp, and anytls—which have strong anti-censorship capabilities. Why not combine the features of these protocols to develop a new protocol that is compatible, stable, and fast? Based on these protocols, a new configuration file and protocol could be developed, allowing users to choose whether to route traffic through this protocol when logging in, sending the traffic to…10 votes -
