    Adding a new page in the app where I add fake information such as email, phone number, or address to hide the original information.

  2. Split tunnelling would be more useful if it could use URLs and not just IP addresses.

    E.g., paramountplus.com has dozens of IP addresses. Manually finding and trying to maintain all of them (even if the platform could handle that many) would be a nightmare. So it's not very useful as it is, with just IP addresses.

  4. Option to manually sort Profiles

    Add the option to sort profiles, I dont like to create a new profile and it goes to the bottom of the list when I want it next to a similar one.

  6. Split tunneling for macOS

    For Mac, split tunnelling is available from the browser's plugins. We should be able to do the same from proton VPN app itself. The best if this can be configured as a template so you can link it to any existing connection or profile

    I'm currently a NordVPN subscribere and it looks like all of my needs except one will be met by Proton VPN. The only thing missing is SmartDNS feature:

    SmartDNS is a technology based on using your DNS to unblock geo-restricted sites and services. It’s somewhat similar to how proxy servers route your internet traffic through a remote server to hide your real IP address and physical location.

  9. Split Tunneling: Two Different VPN Connections Simultaneously

    If technically feasible, I would find it great if two VPN connections could be established simultaneously via split tunneling, for example one for streaming and one for everything else, or one with port-forwarding and at the same time a second one without port-forwarding.

    mplement the ability to chose the blocking lists we want against ads.
    Like Nextdns does.

  12. Tailscale exit nodes

    I would love to be able to use Proton VPN as exit nodes on Tailscale.

    They recently announced support for Mullvad exit nodes, and I'm sure they would be interested in adding more options:

  13. Game Server Proximity Connection

    This feature could enhance the gaming experience for VPN users. Upon initiating a gaming session, the VPN would identify the location of the game server to which the user is connected. The VPN would then select and connect to its own server that is geographically closest, or lowest ping to the game server. This process ensures optimal latency and performance by minimizing the distance data has to travel between the VPN server and the game server, potentially providing a better gaming experience.

  14. macOS/iOS Feature Parity with Windows/Android

    The Windows and Android apps often lead the way with new features, and those features frequently never make it to macOS or iOS.

    For example, profiles are much more configurable in Windows/Android than they are in the Apple apps. Similarly, if you look at the requests on this site, there are many that are planned for Windows/Android … but will never come to macOS or iOS.

    The macOS and iOS apps are surprisingly limited -- you can't even tell what city you are connected to in the macOS app -- and it's frustrating knowing that other platforms enjoy much more…

  17. Auto upgrade Android VPN (crazy using Google play store to upgrade)

    How crazy is it for a company like Proton with high privacy standards, using "Google" to download an upgrade!!!!!

    Really!

    Why not having an "auto" upgrade feature, bypassing Google in all cases?

  18. Option for Gig speed support. Premium is ok

    There is a fast-developing trend in US for consumers easily accessing prosumer class high speed fiber for reasonable prices. 5-10 Gb. Mac mini supports 10GbE. USB-C supports 10Gb. Thunderbolt 5 available on Mac... It would be valuable if some of these bandwidth levels weren't bottlenecked at the VPN. My best case seems to be from 10GbE shunted down to ~750 MbE if using ProtonVPN... So the choice is speed OR security? Prosumers are not very price sensitive...

  19. VPN on/off widget for iOS 17

    It would be great if we could have a regular widget with on/off and pause option. It would be very practical compared to having to open the app every time you want to perform any of those actions.

  20. Allow Killswitch to be enabled with Split Tunnel

    Currently, the app will not allow you to use the Split Tunnel feature if you have the Killswitch enabled. Having migrated from Private Internet Access, I was used to having this possibility with their client and would love to see this in Proton VPN as well.

    Having some exceptions configured to bypass the VPN should not completely block the killswitch feature and open the risk of IP leaks.

    I would be okay with the VPN app completely killing my bypassed connections as well, it wouldn't even have to be gracefully respecting those. That would just be a nice-to-have.
