  1. Allow Bulk-Download of wireguard configs

Currently wireguard config files can be downloaded individually.
It would be great if they could also be downloaded in groups/all together. A zip archive containing all selected configs would be ideal.

Mullvad offers this as an option in their config downloader:

  2. App Tracking Protection

Duck Duck Go provides an app that allows for app tracking protection on Android. It stops apps and tracking engines on your phone from sending personal data. It also tracks what apps and info is attempting to be sent. The problem is, it runs as a VPN, and Android cant run 2 VPNs.

If this was incorporated into Proton VPN it would be a massive leap forward for internal and external tracking protection. If you had it for Windows and IOS it would also be incredible.

  3. Change or revert the new look.

Companies seem to always go back and forth with this constantly in these industries with making things look more compact. Usually all this does is make it take more clicks to get to something that the user needs to get to making it more inconvenient to use. Function over form please. When trying to pick a certain or specific connection now it takes three to four clicks going through menus when it used to just be a list.

  4. Patch memory corruption bugs on Android VPN app

On April 24th, 2024 it was reported to Proton Support that the Proton VPN app for Android has memory corruption issues and the relevant debug logs were included (request 2830533); the conclusion was that the report would be forwarded to the engineers. This was caught with GrapheneOS' memory tagging extension (MTE) feature which shuts down apps upon detection of memory errors. It's been over six months since the initial report and the Android Proton VPN app still crashes almost instantly if MTE is enabled. Since memory errors pose a security risk, please patch this as soon as possible.

  6. Provide a command to get current open port

Private Internet Access (PIA) provides a convenient way to programmatically get the current port forward open port through the command line via the command:

    /path/to/piactl.exe get portforward

This allows for automatic scripts to parse this information and update other applications on demand.

Please provide a way to achieve the same effect on ProtonVPN, either via a a local rest API, a command line option, or a simple txt file that gets created and updated whenever the VPN connects/reconnects.

  7. On the "Create Profile" page, add CITY names alongside each SERVER name that is listed on the server dropdown menu.

Request: On the "Create Profile" page, add CITY names alongside each SERVER name that is listed on the server dropdown menu.

On the "Create Profile" page, the dropdown menu for selecting the server recites each server name. But the dropdown menu for selecting the server does NOT recite the CITY in which the city resides. Knowing in which CITY a particular server resides would be helpful when selecting a server for creating a profile.

I'll note that the CITY name information for each server is available on the the "Countries" tab. So adding the CITY name information alongside each SERVER…

  8. Have a clear indicator on main GUI screen and system tray mini window when Split-Tunnel is activated.

I have forgotten I had split tunnel enabled just for my alternate browser to test something and then forgot. I went to a cafe and used their wifi and put my VPN on, thinking I was protected. I was not. All my traffic was unprotected because I had forgotten a day or two ago I had set split tunnel on.

Please add this very very simple UX / GUI feature just to indicate that Split-Tunnel is enabled, in a way you can't not notice. Not requesting a new feature, just a change in the display so you definitely know split…

  9. Reconnect to next best server

Occasionally I have a slow connection to the "optimal" server or the quality of the connection changes overtime. I would love a single click button to connect to the next best server and not automatically reconnect to the one I was just connected to like it does when I manually cycle it.

  10. Affordable dedicated ip

A cheaper plan for dedicated IP (and also available for family/personal accounts). 50,-/month/server is way too much when competitors offer it for 120,-/24 months..

  12. Integration in GL.iNET firmware

    Hi

You already integrated Proton VPN into Vivaldi browser (wich is closed source and looks pretty shady). So can you consider integration your VPN into GL.iNET firmware?

I will be really happy with this. And many GL.iNET customers too.

You can see that it is required by this links:

  13. Techniques for Circumventing Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)

    Techniques for Circumventing DPI

Several techniques can be used to evade DPI. These strategies focus on confusing the DPI system or breaking its detection algorithms. Common methods include packet fragmentation, protocol obfuscation, injection of fake packets, and manipulation of Time-to-Live (TTL) values. Each method’s theory and practical application are discussed below.

  15. Automatically restart connection

It seems that if I leave my VPN running for a long period of time (longer than a day), my connection stops working. A disconnect and reconnect fixes the issue. It would be nice if there was an option to automatically disconnect and reconnect the VPN on a daily basis.

  17. ProtonVPN - Improvements to profile

As there are now 100 countries added, there are countries with local laws that are considered draconian, and the Windows client doesn't support this feature.

We should have extended option to our custom profiles to pick by state. Right now it's just specific individual servers which isn't fair.

I keep thinking of looking for another provider until ProtonVPN corrects this.

For example, states are implementing **** age restrictions mandating IQ laws. They're also trying to add bans on Tiktok and other social media. So I believe we should be able to just pick states that don't have this than just…

  18. App tracking protection like Duck Duck Go for internal Android privacy, coupled with vpn would be next level protection

    App Tracking Prevention
DuckDuckGo has this great feature where it essentially runs a VPN but it blocks traffic from android apps from being sent out. So, when data tracking engines and apps(e.g., Google, Adobe, Amplitude, Branch Metrics, or any app) attempt to send personal data from your device, DuckDuckGo blocks it. It also tells you what apps are trying to send info, and to who. Imagine the internal protection coupled with the Vpn external protection this would provide. Unfortunately Duck Duck Go product works as a VPN on phone, and you cant run 2 Vpns simultaneously.

    If Proton incorporated the…
