Finding TOR connections is painful unless you know the exact server. Searching for servers isn’t fuzzy, so searching for “Tor” returns nothing. There should be a TOR toggle next to the Secure Core connection toggle to only show those connections

Offer WireGuard inside SOCKS5 for IPv4 and tcp-only Wi-Fi
A trouble with WireGuard is that it is only udp
Another trouble is that
— som sites, like AWS, only offers IPv6 for free, not IPv4
— outdated public Wi-Fi may only support IPv4, no IPv6
— outdated public Wi-FI may only support tcp port 443Therefore,
Proton VPN should support WireGuard udp encapsulated in SOCKS5 server port tcp/443
This is supported by the Android non-root outbound firewall Rethink
— tunneled traffic should be both IPv4 and IPv6
— transport traffic should be be both IPv4 and IPv6Proton holds antiquated views on IPv6:
— After aws 2023 charges for…2 votes -
Add search for Split Tunneling
Please add a search box or search button/icon for the "excluded apps" in split tunneling for mobile app.
Currently, it is very tedious and time consuming having to scroll down a very long list of all apps and processes on the phone to search for the one you want to exclude.
A search box at the very top or even a search icon to tap on would help facilitate this process of searching the app or process you want to exclude.
Thank you

iOS Shortcuts: Select Profile
Hello,
I like the shortcuts integration for iOS to initiate a VPN connection. However it is quite simple in its current state. There should be an option to initiate a VPN connection using one of your created profiles.
Potential Use Case:
When opening YouTube iOS shortcuts will initiate a shortcut that initiates a proton VPN connection using a specified profile e.g. to Albania (any country that doesn’t have adverts implemented). When closing the YouTube app iOS can initiate a shortcut that disconnects the VPN.2 votes -

Blocking Websites
I would like to suggest introducing a feature that allows users to block specific websites when connected to the VPN. It would be particularly useful for parents and individuals who want to manage their online activities more effectively.

iOS on device firewall
an app called Lockdown provides an on-device firewall. But it is unusable because (a) when away from wifi, it requires access to Mobile Data. (b) it provides various “block” lists but does not give visibility to the domains that are passing thru. Proton VPN does not yet let me block all the insidious trackers built into apps.

Custom VPN Servers for Businesses
Currently, Proton VPN allows users to connect to "public" VPN servers. However, it would be incredibly useful if Proton could offer the ability to create custom VPN servers for individual businesses. This feature would enable all devices connected to the VPN to function as if they were on the same local network, regardless of their physical locations. Such a capability would facilitate seamless remote work and improve productivity by providing a secure, cohesive network environment for all employees, no matter where they are working from.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it could add significant value to Proton…

Ignore Split Tunnel apps when using public wifi
Toggle switch somewhere in the app so that when using an open WiFi network, all split tunnel apps are ignored so everything must use the VPN.
I add apps to split tunnel for compatibility reasons when on trusted networks but when on public WiFi I would rather these apps not work than allowing direct internet access on a potentially insecure network

Specify the Profile when Invoking ProtonVPN
I would like to be able to invoke ProtonVPN with a specific profile preferably via a Shortcut in MAC OS and IOS or via AppleScript. The use case is to be able to start Proton VPN with a different profile based on the WIFI network I connect to. Today in MAC OS I can launch ProtonVPN automatically but have to manually specify the profile and start the App.

Tutorial on how to let network traffic flow through ProtonVPN only for specific IP/MAC address on OpenWRT router.
Tutorial on how to set up OpenWRT to let network traffic flow through ProtonVPN only for specific [list of] devices, while the rest goes through the regular routing.
There are different posts in the openWRT forum, but no one of them is specific for a private VPN vendor for this specific feature.
An example of post where after many iterations nothing really works is this one: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/any-beginners-guides-for-policy-based-routing-with-commercial-vpn-and-keeping-non-vpn-wan-as-primary-routing/177423/3

Add option to run on boot after a delay
Add an option to add a user-defined delay to the "start on boot" option.
I have a lot of programs that run auto-update packages on boot, but almost all of them won't update over the VPN, presumably because downloads through VPN IP addresses have been blocked.
Rather than running every updater through a split tunnel (which I would struggle to set up for every program) I would like to be able to delay the VPN startup on my PC.
I've done this presently with Task-Scheduler, but would be much more comfortable if it was in-app.

choice is a critical safegaurd to privacy.
One never knows what laws or policies might change at any time, hence choice is the vpn users only true assurance of safety, privacy, etc. Not providing a choice at all levels renders vpn's function sorely lacking...... Why? I had heard such good things, but now this

pfSense VPN (OpenVPN or Wireguard)
I use pfSense at home. I saw your tutorials for setting up Proton VPN in pfSense. It seems that the configurations you publish are "all or nothing" in that every device or LAN would tunnel through Proton's VPN. I have 3 distinct LAN's on my pfSense router. I'd like to have only one of the 3 LAN's tunnel through the Proton VPN weather it utilized OpenVPN or better yet Wireguard. Is this possible and if so where can I find how to configure just one of my LAN's using Proton VPN?
