Reuse keys / change peer in WireGuard configuration
Currently if you generate a configuration through account.protonvpn.com/downloads the private key will only be valid for the server you chose. If you want to change the server, it's not enough to replace its public key and endpoint address for another Proton VPN server, you have to generate a new configuration with a new private key.
In an ideal world, I could generate a single configuration / private key, and later change out the VPN server endpoint. This would make it a lot less hurdle to switch VPN servers on routers.

Allow unauthenticated access to HTTPS Squid proxies from Proton VPN IP ranges
One important feature other privacy VPNs offer is the ability to use proxies for per-service split-tunneling. For example, when using the Firefox Multi-Account Containers extensions, one can assign different HTTP or SOCKS5 proxies for different containers. This allows users to compartmentalize multiple online identities by assigning a different IP address to them. Some desktop apps also support specifying a proxy.
Proton has already stated that SOCKS5 won't be supported because it doesn't meet some security requirements. However, Proton already operates HTTPS Squid proxies, because they are used by the Proton VPN browser extension.
