Disassociation of Identity From Activity ('Trustless' Connection)
Taking a page from Apple's iCloud Private Relay and TOR's onion network, I wish to suggest that Proton partner with another trustworthy provider (such as Mullvad or IVPN) to use their servers as 'exit nodes' in an implementation that would separate activity from identity. This would, of course, be for the benefit of reducing demanded trust in Proton (or their partner), and the 'no logs' promise, ensuring greater privacy by design and not just by policy and practice.
This isn't Secure Core.
I figure it's important to clarify how this differs from Secure Core, which is already a 'multi-hop' connection.…

Ability to re-arrange pinned (favorite) servers
The list of favorites is static at the moment. It would take great effort to re-arrange the list into the desired order, having to remove items, and add them in a planfull matter.
Therefore it would be very handy, if dragging the list items around would be possible. Thanks!

Allow some choice of where to connect .
Like I'm sure many others I feel I already have enough security with Protonmail. I need (want) a UK based VPN for about 3-4 months of the year when I am out of the country. (I've found the BBC disables attributes on their news website depending on the ISP address and this is annoying.) I use one or two email addresses at most and am already paying for Mail+ for a load of features I largely don't need. Now you want more money for access to a load more VPN features I don't need or want. Seems a bit unfair

Browser extensions remember recent servers / cities
It would be nice if the browser extensions remembered a few of your most recently used servers / cities and made those available as buttons that are shown when you click to open the extension. For example, Nord VPN's app has this feature directly below the blue "quick connect" button.

Add Profile Selection to Proton iOS Shortcut
Please update the iOS ‘Connect to VPN’ shortcut to allow users to select a profile to use for the connection. I have listed below 2 use cases which I would like to achieve.
Example use case 1: when I arrive at work (done through the iOS shortcuts app) I connect to the work profile which uses the stealth protocol.
Example use case 2: when I arrive at home (also done through the iOS shortcuts app) I connect to the home profile which uses the wire-guard protocol.

Allow at least wildcarding of file paths for split tunnel rules
It would be nice to allow wildcards or folders or some other means of defining more general split tunneling rules beyond pinpointing a single exact executable path.
For instance, Discord.exe always changes its subfolder in your %AppData%/Local/Discord every time it updates to include the version number. I.e.
%AppData%/Local/Discord/app-1.0.9218/Discord.exeIt would be cool to add it as maybe *Discord.exe or something. Or, maybe as a folder:
C:/Users/blah/AppData/Local/Discord/Currently, I am forced to re-add it every single Discord app update. Unfortunate given that this poses an existential IP leak threat, since in order to add the latest Discord.exe path, it first has…

Split-Tunneling App List
The current implementation of Split-Tunneling is good but I ran into a problem adding XBOX GamePass Games to it because the folder permissions does not allow Proton to open the .exe Files. I tried it by adding access rights for my user and for administrators but it still does not work.
My feature suggestion: Add a list of installed or currently running apps that we can easily select for split tunneling.
Or maybe a seperate Feature to add all XBOX App/GamePass Games to the exclusion1 vote -

Improve error message when trying to connect to a VPN without NetworkManager.service
I am using Omarchy and when I installed the proton-vpn-gtk-app package and tried connecting, it displayed the generic error message "Something went wrong | An unexpected error has occured". I had to check the logs to figure out that the reason why it was failing was that the NetworkManager.service daemon was not running, because Omarchy uses systemd-networkd. Unless there's a skill issue on my end, I would like to suggest displaying a more clear error message when that happens, so the users quickly know to switch to NetworkManager if they need to use Proton VPN.

Better support for GNOME's "Background Apps" feature
Not every Linux desktop environment comes out with support for tray icons, the most infamous one for that being GNOME, one of the most popular desktop environments. Since GNOME 44, it focuses on a "Background apps" feature, which uses xdg-desktop-portal to find apps running in the background, with the ability to show them.
Personally, I must say I like that feature, and would like to avoid installing extensions adding back the tray. At the same time, I'd love it if the Proton VPN was able to start minimized on login in my prefered DE, especially since it's possible for other…

easier way to report broken/unavailable site
Currently we are asked to fill out the entire form at https://protonvpn.com/support-form
It would be nice (likely to result in more feedback, which presumably helps techs to ID issues and fix them) if it was simpler and quicker to report a site is broken due to using Proton VPN.5 votes -

Fix Free Tier Country List: Linux/Config file Shows 10, GUI Apps Display Only 5
This request addresses an inconsistency across ProtonVPN platforms regarding the number of countries available on the Free plan.
Currently:
Linux GUI, CLI, and manual configuration files (OpenVPN/WireGuard) correctly expose 10 free countries, matching what the backend actually provides.
Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and tvOS apps display only 5 countries in their GUI, even though random connecting to all 10 is possible via backend/API.
This creates a confusing discrepancy for users and contradicts the behavior of Linux clients and manual configs.
Proton and web pages also show mixed information (some mention 5, others implicitly reflect 10), further adding to user confusion.
