1. Android TV Kill Switch

   Hi,
   I am a paying user of the Proton Unlimited pachage and I am very happy with Protons VPN. However, I use an androidbox on my tv and I am missing a killswitch!
   Please add this as soon as possible because this is a real deal braker for me and I will probably switch back to Nord VPN if this is not fixed in the near future. I dont get why such an importand setting is not implemented in the android version of your VPN! I read many complaints about this issue on Reddit and people are looking at other, bettter VPN services that have this option.
   Keep up the good work and I hope you will fix this very very soon.

2. Integration in GL.iNET firmware

   You already integrated Proton VPN into Vivaldi browser (wich is closed source and looks pretty shady). So can you consider integration your VPN into GL.iNET firmware?

4. Linux client - AppImage support

   AppImage has a number of advantages that Snap and Flatpak do not have.

   1. Portability.

   2. No dependencies.

   3. Ease of use.

   4. Compatibility with any distribution.

   Supporting AppImage would be a significant step for the development of ProtonVPN on Linux. For example, in countries with high levels of censorship, it can be very difficult to download the ProtonVPN client from the internet without being connected to another VPN service. A portable version of ProtonVPN would solve this problem.

5. localhost SOCKS5 tunnel like in Mullvad

   I would like to see this feature from mullvad in Proton VPN: https://mullvad.net/en/help/socks5-proxy

   Coming from Mullvad. This feature is great. I put it in Telegram and if VPN is disabled the application can't access the servers of this "privacy" messenger. It hides TCP Fingerprint, too. Reducing captcha and other garbage detections from antibot systems.

6. Never Auto Connect to a VPN in My Location

   Inside Kill Switch, I want a check for never auto connect to a vpn in my country.
   Sometimes I connect to country X, but I have connectivity issues which causes VPN to disconnect, then it retries to connect again multiple times.
   When connection is back online, it connects to a VPN in my country, which is exactly what I'm avoiding.

7. Block App Snooping

   Implement a feature that prevents an app from accessing other apps. For example, Google and Facebook apps both keep tabs on what is going on in other apps. Duckduckgo has a VPN that disallows any app from accessing any other app, blocking thousands of attempts per hour.

10. Kill switch should stay on with split tunneling

    I use Proton VPN at the router level, so my home Wi-Fi is already protected. On my laptop, I’d like to exclude my home network from the VPN using split tunneling without disabling the kill switch.

    Right now, having both the router VPN and the laptop VPN running creates a double VPN, which slows down all internet traffic while I’m at home. If split tunneling worked with the kill switch enabled, I could use my home network normally without the slowdown, and when I leave home and connect to any other network, the kill switch would still protect me—no manual toggling needed.

11. Feature request: Add forwarded port API method

    Problem: There is no officially support method for a torrent client to obtain the currently active forwarded port from Proton VPN.

    Current practices: The only way I've found to determine the port is to scrape the VPN client log. This is not officially supported and thus brittle, not to mention inefficient.

    Proposed solution: Add a lightweight REST listener in the client to respond to API requests. Including forwarded port status, so that a local client can determine if the VPN is currently active, if port forwarding is enabled, and what the current port is. A unified cross-platform client API would be ideal.

14. A system for transfering included/exluded application paths when updating versions of ProtonVPN

    Right now, user's have to go though and manually recompile the list of included/excluded applications(or IP's) when using the split-tunneling feature. This is more than just inconvenient, it is a security risk, opening the door for increased chances of user error.

    The implementation of this feature doesn't have to be complicated and would definitely provide a quality of life increase for the applications user's.

16. Make Proton VPN with Google Play and F-Droid have different IDs

    Currently, after installing the F-Droid version, Google Play tries to download and install an update for Proton VPN every time it searches for and installs updates for user applications, and it fails. It would be better if Google Play did not see the application installed via F-Droid and did not waste traffic, battery life, and did not annoy the user with notifications that the update installation was unsuccessful, but will be repeated later.

19. More physical server providers in Indonesia

    Hello. I just noticed that u guys finally added a new server provider in Indonesia that is actually located in Indonesia. From what i have noticed it looks like the multiple servers are from the same server provider. Is it possible to have more servers from another server provider?

    The reason for this is the fact that sometimes our ISPs have a bad link to that server provider which will add latency or make our speed worse. Not only that sometimes that said server provider can have a bad international link to some servers that maybe we want to access. In which case, another server provider might actually help with this issue.

20. Add disconnect on a timer

    Sometimes you want to turn off the VPN to be able to deal with a site that blocks them, but you want to turn it right back on after. NordVPN has a feature where you can disconnect on a timer, like 5, 10 minutes etc after which is automatically re-connects.
