1. Manual Wireguard Peer Configuration

   At the moment, have to use a provided secret key for Wireguard. This poses a security issue if you are wanting to use Proton VPN with an existing Wireguard interface.

   I have some self-hosted apps running on a VPN protected by Wireguard. If I want to be able to connect to ProtonVPN and my self-hosted apps using the same Wireguard interface, I'd need to use a private key generated by Proton to access both on the same interface. This is both a hassle as I'd have to update all my configs for this key, and also a security risk as that key could be used to pose as one of my devices to connect to my self-hosted services.

   If we could instead provide our own public key when configuring our devices, rather than using the provided private key, that would avoid the security issue.

   If we could also customize the peer IP address (though I understand that may be less feasible) that would avoid the issue of having to change all of my configurations.

5. Support for prime video on KDE plasma

   Can add support for streaming website on Linux with KDE plasma dektiop environment.
   Is impossible to use protonVPN to watch prime video if using Linux with KDE plasma (tested on prime video with fedora 42 with the latest KDE/QT version 6.3.5)

6. Copy forwarded port from the tray icon menu

   With the new Windows app, copying the port can get a bit annoying. Currently, the way to copy the port is by opening the app, hovering over 'Port forwarding', and clicking the copy icon. This adds a lot of unnecessary delay, like waiting for the app to open or for the flyout with the port to fade in.

   Adding a 'Copy port' entry in the tray icon menu would be a quick and easy way to quickly copy the forwarded port number.

7. Windows App Icon Not Showing When Active Since New Update

   The tray icon on Windows shows a green lock now, but the program itself doesn't on the Taskbar, which was something I looked at the most. Now, I have no idea if my VPN is active without opening the program or navigating to see the tray icon. Please fix.

8. Allow Users to Choose VPN Protocols on AppleTV App

   Currently there is no way to pick VPN protocols within the AppleTV app, this causes problems when certain networks such as hotels block common VPN protocol traffic like WireGuard and OpenVPN. Stealth mode would be ideal in the circumstance, but currently only the fastest option is supported.

9. Linux beta client: Allow server ranges for the text options

   Currently, one can set two different text boxes in the beta Linux client: "Auto connect", which accepts country codes, a specific server (such as NL#42) or "FASTEST". And then there's "Pinned tray connections", which accepts country code or specific server, multiple entries, comma-delimited.

   While we're waiting for a better GUI, I would like to have the option of picking a specific range of servers for "Auto connect", such as: US#18-25 (for example).

   As well as for "Pinned tray connections", choosing a ranged server entry would pick the best option within that range. A typical "Pinned tray connections" would look like this: NL#42, JP, US#10-18, IT.

10. Make a Lite version of Proton apps (VPN, drive, mail, e.t.c), for people on older android devices like android 5 (or even android 4)..

    Since the majority of proton apps need a minimum of android of 8 and 9 (except for calendar), I think this would be a good idea for both sides (customers and business). People on lower/older end devices get to use proton services, which also leads to the point of more potential customers. Would really like this to happen. kind regards

15. One connection per app (Automatic connect if specific app opened)

    I would like to have the option to have multiple vpn connections open at the same time, but only used for specific apps. I would like to use e.g. Switzerland by default but for netflix use every time US etc. So ideally the vpn client notices that I open netflix and connects for this app exclusively to US.

    For example, if I were to select server US-IL#200 from the dropdown menu for selecting the server, something like "US-IL#200 (Chicago)" would be automatically added to the name field as a suggested name. Similarly, if I were to create a profile selecting the fastest server in the US, the suggested name could be something like "United States (fastest)" or similar. Including the protocol in the suggested name would also be good, but at least to me, less important than including the city name in the suggested name.

    Of course, I should be able to edit what is suggested. But having a name (including sever name and city location) automatically suggested would be helpful.

17. Business - Unlicensed user support

    As an organization admin, I would like the ability to have unlicensed users that can administer and assign licenses, as well as users to exist without a license.

    Currently every user must have a license, and there is no way to unassign a license without having to remove the user from the organization.

19. Add support of the <auth-user-pass></auth-user-pass> tags for OpenVPN protocol

    Right now Proton supports only separate input of username and password. Some routers (Keenetic City) does not allow entering username and pasword separately. However the OpenVPN supports having username and password in a configuration file according to the - https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn/blob/v2.6.10/Changes.rst
    It would be great if you could support inline auth.

20. create a toggle in UI to show bandwidth by bits instead of Bytes

    Recent paid customer. It's weird to measure bandwidth in Bytes. Create a little toggle button in Settings -> General for Bytes vs bits. Volume would stay as-is.
