  1. Alpine Linux Support (For edge computing and custom OS development with Alpine)

As a privacy focused OS developer, I seek amenity regardless of the networks I choose to join. However, Alpine Linux isn't a supported distribution; as such my custom privacy oriented OS (Cyperious OS, based on Alpine Linux's stable branch) would remain incomplete without a preinstalled privacy oriented VPN. As of the time of posting, Cyperious OS is in Alpha: version 1.0.0.

  2. Physically Located VPN Server on the Philippines

    Hello,

Could you please consider adding or switching to a server provider that is physically located in the Philippines?

I’ve noticed that other VPN providers like Mullvad and Windscribe use Zenlayer for their Philippine servers. Perhaps Proton could explore incorporating Zenlayer as well to enhance local connectivity and performance.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  3. Please allow Split Tunneling setting for each profile separately

I am a total noobie in Proton VPN but after experimenting awhile, I was not able to set Split Tunneling settings for each profile separately but only universally for the whole application. If this not only my inability to use th app correctly but a existing limitation, please make it possible.

  7. VPN to home network

Currently I use Wiregauard to setup an VPN to my private network so I can access local devices when I'm on the road, all the internet traffic is also going through the VPN and outside through my router.

    I prefer having:
    1. VPN to my loval network only for my local network
    2. all the internet traffice difrectly to Proton VPN

Can the Peroton VPN app support option 1 + 2

  9. VPN on Apple Watch

VPN on Apple Watch. You are unprotected if one of your devices is not protected. It's not enough to protect the mobile, the watch goes with you and uses all types of connections.

  10. Add Proxy capabilities to VPN servers

Proton, could you add proxy servers or modify/add your current servers to expose a proxy feature?
I will try to explain what i am trying to do:
I want to have my OpenWRT router connected to one of your secure core servers. After that i would like to be able on my laptop:

    1. See US content: okay, exit to a US proxy
    2. See japanese content: okay, exit to a JP proxy Etc...

This is very flexible and i just need to encrypt the traffic 1x time (to your secure core server) because afaik proxy traffic is mirrored, isn it?

    I…

  11. Circumventing Censorship and Connection Issues

In regions with strict censorship, NAT mode, campus networks, and other specific environments, a proxy is often required to log in and connect; moreover, success largely depends on luck, and speeds are quite unstable.
I have reviewed the latest proxy protocols—such as hy2, xhttp, and anytls—which have strong anti-censorship capabilities. Why not combine the features of these protocols to develop a new protocol that is compatible, stable, and fast? Based on these protocols, a new configuration file and protocol could be developed, allowing users to choose whether to route traffic through this protocol when logging in, sending the traffic to…

  12. Automatic control of phone VPN

This would automatically connect and disconnect when connected or disconnected to/from a secure WIFI SSID with a VPN already running.
I use DD-wrt on my home router which automatically runs an OpenVPN with a kill switch, so seem an over kill having the phone going through multiple VPNs. Plus periodically it causes a problem connecting to the security cameras, and when turn off on the phone there is no problem.

  14. Add app shortcuts on Android to select profiles

    https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/launch/shortcuts

App shortcuts are already implemented in Proton Drive, so I do not see any reason not to add it to vpn

  16. auto reconnect to same profile in a interval basis

I would like that Proton VPN reconnect to the same profile (but different server) in a interval basis, as I feel that after some hours the server gets overloaded and my connection very slow, I get myself needing to manually stop/start the connection to get to a different server. this process could be automated

  17. Option to exclude servers by city/state/country

Option to exclude servers by city/state/country. It's no secret why many U.S. users flocked to ProtonVPN in recent users. It sucks to be automatically connected to servers in the state we're trying to get around, even if that is the fastest connection.

  20. Change the Firefox extension icon based on the split tunneling status on the current domain

Currently, when the user has enabled split tunneling in the ProntonVPN extension for Firefox, the extension icon always remains green even on sites where the VPN is disabled. This can be confusing, especially if the user does not remember which sites they are using split tunneling on and which they are not. In my opinion, it would be much clearer if the icon showed a green padlock on sites where the VPN is active, and a red open padlock on sites where split tunneling disables the VPN.

This request applies both to normal split tunneling and to Inverse Split Tunneling…
