Proton Docs / collaboration suite
(folders and docs similar to GoogleDocs)
Proton mail needs some collaborative word processor and spreadsheet in a drive where people can securely work on it but only the person who owns the files can keep them and no one can download them or copy them.
Introducing Docs in Proton Drive – collaborative document editing that’s actually private: https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive
With Docs you can:
- Write with privacy — Create and edit documents within Proton Drive, knowing your contents are only accessible to you and those you choose to share with.
- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.

Would love to see an option to enroll in an “Extended Version History” option like the add-on option that was once offered by Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/help/security/extended-version-history

A Proton Drive is a "must be". Calendars and "docs-alike" would also be nice, but are not mandatory.
An important service that I can however see several people wanting provided in a much more "private mode", without having to resort to the "unavailability" of deep web services, would be the hosting of simple websites, in special blogs.
The blog's owner would have its ideas published in the open, as any web blog allows for, however would benefit (and it may be necessary in some easily imagined circumstances) from the anonymity and privacy that an account hosted in a safe heaven like the proton servers, accessible by the tor network, in an encrypted vpn and unrelated to any vulnerable email account, would provide.
Just imagine... ;)

pCloud acquisition might be good idea but it seems that they do not have yet block-level sync - https://www.cloudwards.net/review/pcloud/
About block-level sync - https://www.cloudwards.net/block-level-file-copying/
Overall security and privacy sounds good although using 4096-bit RSA for keys might not be good enough for today - check https://www.ria.ee/sites/default/files/content-editors/publikatsioonid/cryptographic-algorithms-lifecycle-report-2017.pdf from chapter 2.2 "Key length recommendations" and possibly already elliptic curve (e.g. Ed25519) would be expected (with higher KDF value than default 16 - man ssh-keygen and search parameter -a):

Yep, would be a great idea,
and at least having full securised suite to selfhost the drive and easyly link it to protonmail -

One way to do this would be to acquire pCloud Drive.

I would love to have a ProtonMail secure, encrypted alternative to Google Drive and Dropbox. Please.

In order to get people to switch from one service to another, Proton needs to offer the security it is revered for as well as other services like Document editing, file storage, calendar operations, etc. Google does this without the security and trust, so if Proton could develop these apps and integrate them with ProtonMail, it would be a serious rival of Google and Yahoo!

proton mail should create encrypted cloud to store and share file with big capacity

Likewise my vote for the CALENDAR, as an ongoing paying Protonmail customer, this service would be enormously beneficial for me. I would love to run my business in a proton-secure platform: email, calendar, documents, contacts. All together.
Also important for all the benefits of bringing these features into the proton suite - integrations and the ability to share across other platforms while still maintaining the value of the security. Some secure pathways through Zapier would be amazing??!

It's a shame they don't provide any info for ProtonDrive. I was super interested in it, but with lack of info, pricing and pretty much anything else I opted for a service from a "rival" Swiss company. Too bad coz ProtonDrive sounds like a cool idea if they'll follow the ProtonMail concept...

That would be great if protonmail provides a large amount of cloud storage (1TB or more) like google drive or one drive for emails and file sharing with reasonable price.

Could you please make the equivalent of Google Drive to store documents and spreadsheets in the Cloud?

I think such a feature would be great, especially to store and access encrypted password database like keepass one.
Then I thought, why not integrating a (keepass based ?) secured password wallet/generator directly in the web app, so that the client app is not necessary anymore ?
Thanks for your great work. -

A great idea!
I'd definitely subscribe to an all in one Mail/VPN/Cloud Storage service.
Keep up the great work. -
