Share upload folder link
Share folders with the option to allow upload of files. This is an essencial feature to allow secure file transfer. Bonus points if notifications for uploaded files are present from day1.
This is especially important for companies, where receiving large files is sometimes troublesome.
Myself and my family currently use a (payed) competitor that provides this feature, and I can assure you I will not be adopting proton drive unless an equivalent feature is available.
PS: All the said.. I'm not sure posting ideas on this platform is of any use, provided proton has not given any feedback to any of the other ideas already posted..

This feature is already available, but it still requires improvement, including:
- The ability to change the email address of the URL owner. Considering that the Proton ecosystem is connected with SimpleLogin and many domains use mx.simplelogin, it would be advisable to consider providing an option to change the email address of the URL owner. If this option cannot be provided, it may be better to consider not displaying it at all.
- The addition of a feature that restricts downloading or only allows viewing of documents. This feature would be very beneficial to implement. I am happy to share documents and media files, but I do not want anyone to download them in order to protect copyright.

Max, could you share what you mean? I just checked and didn't see an option to REQUEST files from someone.
The closest thing, and I don't know if this was available before, seems to be creating a folder, sharing it with a link and set anyone who has the link as editor. Then, whoever you send the link to will be able to upload files.

I believe this exists now

Please add! I would like to move away from dropbox and Google, and having this feature would be very helpful in making that decision.

I think everybody else has already said it well. This would be a really big feature addition.

This is an imperative feature; its absence cripples the user-friendliness of the overall suite of applications.

Essential feature for many business tasks. It will be awesome once a space limit can be set: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/48645323-limit-space-for-shared-folders

This is a critical feature for ProtonDrive, because the drive is only of limited usefulness, if I'm the only one who can upload files.
If my family wants to send large files to me, I still have to rely on other cloud providers or USB-sticks.
I get, that this feature is not trivial to implement while still upholding e2e-encryption standards, but there are ways around that:
1. "file-drop link protected by asymmetric encryption / hybrid encryption" - publicly shared encryption certificate and a e2e-encrpted decryption key. When uploading a file, a random password is used to encrypt the file symmetrically and the public certificate is used to store the password with the file, until the user accesses dropped files.
2. "public folder with separate e2e-encryption secret, possibly in addition to a password" - When you intend to share an empty folder plublicly, you need to set a separate strong e2e-encryption secret with the recipient of the link. Whenever you or the user access this folder, you have to enter the e2e-encryption secret. worse usability than other cloud drives, but gets the job done and still encourages people to get a real proton-drive account for better usabiltiy. -

As much as I'd like all the people I interact with to be on protonmail, making this feature only available to proton users is useless. It has to be a link that I create that ANYONE can use to upload files directly to a specific folder in my proton drive.
Dropbox, pcloud, and mega (and possibly others) all have this feature.

This feature is really critical and so handy when you need to save some files from a friend in a pinch

I will like this feature as well. If I had a password protected share link that I can upload files to quickly will be great. For example, I can go to the link and type in the password and quickly upload my keepass file to backup.

Without this feature, Proton Drive is not really usable for me. Requesting files is particularly important.

Totally agree with the other comments here. As a business, we can continue to use the e-mail service as such, but it gets unmanageable without the other integrated features working properly, such as drive, calendar and so on. This means we need to get these products from other providers, such as DB for folders, which creates a lot lower threshold for moving everything to a provider with all products functioning. Even the lack of a video conference option with Proton is almost a showstopper.

Besides sharing documents securely I also want to receive documents securely. Therefore, a proton mail integrated feature that allows to request documents to be uploaded via proton drive to my drive via a link shared via email.
