Linux Client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Linux client for Proton Drive.

Very important to us. This Linux client is the last thing to get to fully quit Dropbox or other GAFAM drive.

sftp access will be great. I think that Linux community will do the rest.

It would be super useful, I’d like to stop using the cloud with the Mega app and use only Proton!!!

I've just bought a Mail Plus subscription and the only thing stopping me from making it Unlimited is the lack of a client for Linux.

An application like they have on windows needs to happen. The singular biggest disappointment of my pretty expensive subscription. The native Linux tools just aren't as slick. For a company that focuses on privacy, why is this OS the last one out the door.

Either that or let us use an FTP client. Filezilla will work for me.

As several other users have indicated, I am also working on moving everything around email and files to a European service provider. I also opted for the advertised privacy. Not being able to have a Linux client for Proton Drive is quite disappointing.

I would love a desktop client for Linux. Something that I would like more is to be able to FTP into it. Either works for me.

Very important to me personally to get this functionality. I tried using rclone, but that does not seem to be working great, sending more requests than your API is configured to handle. Not great. I hope work is ongoing to finally deliver Proton Drive for Linux.

I have been using GNU/Linux for more than 20 years and Proton services for at least 10 years. I love it, but I really do not understand what Proton is waiting for to deliver a Proton Drive Linux client... Even for Google Drive we could find one.
This should be a top priority for Proton: Linux users are sensible to security and privacy, which is the core business of Proton. And Proton Drive without a desktop client is basically useless.

There is an inherent completeness with Google Drive. Aside from the fact Google owns it (and ALL the data in it), it otherwise is what we all hope Proton Drive will become. Hope keeps me paying my subscription.

We, Linux users, need a proper Proton Drive client ! We already have a VPN one and Bridge for emails, so let's go Proton team, do it for Drive !

We are a paying business customers, and We have migrated from Gmail, and it's obvious that we deserve some way to synchronize Proton Drive with our Linux machines.

Proton Drive for Linux would be great. I would get Premium for that too.

This is absolutely critical! I don't use neither Windows nor Mac, the only reason that keeps me from replacing Dropbox with Protondrive is sync.

Ditto what Chuck Biscuits just said. Proton, help your US customers out. Things are getting too weird here. I want to move completely away from all US tech as I'm sure many more also want to do. We need a Linux client for Proton Drive. This may be a very good opportunity for Proton.

Just repeating what everyone else is saying here.
I started moving from Gmail/OneDrive to Proton for general privacy but that has now accelerated to getting away from US tech - especially with Musk poking his nose into everything.
For that reason, I'm also moving to Linux because Windows is basically spyware now.
2x PC's migrated already, just my laptop to go - which will be done in the next few days.
Even with OneDrive, I could get automatic sync on Linux with rclone, but that's only at beta just now for ProtonDrive and I don't want to risk using it.I believe a privacy focused company should provide at least a basic client for Linux.

Good afternoon, I am a user and I have not been able to connect with my proton address (???).
GNU/Linux users also deserve a file/folder synchronization program.
It has been many years of waiting. But as soon as possible.
If it is not done promptly, I will have to cancel part of my services with Proton, because the cost is high without having the same features as other users at the same cost. Thanks
