Am I missing a way to lock the drive on the new MacOS client (either biometric or password/code as per the iOS app)?

If not please can this feature be added in an update?

Proton Drive client for Mac is available now. Check out the Proton Drive web interface and download the client.

Our entire team (18 people) works on Mac. We cannot switch from Google Drive to Proton Drive unless there is a client which automatically uploads local file changes.

I don't personally need this, but my spouse is a Mac user and this stands in the way of effectively sharing our Drive together

We've been patiently waiting for this. Without it, Drive is worthless for business use and we now need to reconsider our Proton Business subscription.

Indeed the Client is a "must" feature is very annoying to have to download and the upload .. creates a lot of overhead for nothing.

Can you please share your intentions?

I've been using ProtonDrive for more than a year now. Why doesn't it have the most basic feature a drive should have: a MACBOOK CLIENT?

When this and iOS automatic photo sync is rolled out, I'll very likely switch from my current cloud drive solution to Proton Drive 🙏

I thought this would have been launched already. I work mostly in Mac OS. I do like the Windows client, but I really need a Mac client. I absolutely hate using the web client on Mac. It's not efficient, and I need specific folders backed up automatically. Please Proton! We need it!

Echoing all the comments on this thread. We need a Mac OS app to sync files to Proton Drive. I'm paying the same price as my monthly Netflix subscription yet I have to manually back up my files which exposes me to risk of data loss. Hopefully this is in process. Otherwise you guys are doing great work. Thank you!

I've committed to the Ultimate plan knowing there will be some gaps. OSX app is one them (and I know it's coming soon and you're hard at work on it).

I just wanted to mention a few features that I was using with Sync.com that were incredibly handy.

- Be able to selectively choose what folders on Proton Drive are monitored/synced. This setting would cause only the selected folders to be downloaded to my device, not all folders I have in Proton Drive. Very helpful if I have limited space on the device or I only need to sync a subset of files/folders.

- Be able to see progress of sync activity. It is handy to know what files or changes are queued for synching. Perhaps this could be facilitated as well using icons next to the file much like Dropbox?

Don't forget a Linux client. Lots of privacy (and security!) conscious people use Linux, so the amount of people running Linux that also use Proton services might be higher than average.
