Upload photos manually without backup
It is no longer possible to manually upload photos via the mobile app. This can be done via the website and also with older versions of the app. Now, to upload photos, you must activate your phone's backup feature.

I totally agree. This is what I had to do today to upload a photo from my phone to Albums:
1. Upload the photo to "My Files" in Proton Drive's mobile app.
2. Open the Drive web app and download this photo to my computer.
3. Open Photos > Albums on the Drive web app.
4. Re-upload the photo I had downloaded before.Adding a native "+" (Add from device) option would allow doing this in 1 step.
