UltraHDR support
Lack of support for UltraHDR ist the only thing holding me back from switching away from Google Photos app as a gallery+backup solution. Would be nice to view UltraHDR photos in the Proton Drive App

Provide a version for Windows Server
I ran Proton Drive for a while on Windows Server 2022. It ran fine. After an update to Server or to Drive, or maybe both, though, it stopped working properly.
Since Proton has a number of businesses as customers, having a Server version of Drive seems like ti would appeal to those businesses.

Cache low quality version of photos in mobile app
It takes several seconds for a preview of the images to be displayed in the gallery. This takes far too long. Especially if you are looking for a specific image among many others. I would recommend caching a low quality version of the images on the mobile app so that they can be displayed directly and the high-resolution version is only loaded after a longer waiting time.

Tags to organize files several different ways in Proton Drive
I know this idea has been posted previously. Being able to organize Files & Folders several different ways using Color Coded Tags would be a MAGNIFICENT improvement of PROTON DRIVE.
By using tags, and the ability to use SEVERAL tags on each File and Folder, Proton Drive would become a magnificent, user friendly file storage system.I would amend previous suggestions by stressing the importance of being able to:
1) Use several Tags on each File or Folder
2) Color Code the tags

ProtonDrive docker that can be installed universally (qnap, synology, unraid, truenas etc) that allows syncing select folders with ProtonDrive

As part of the study of research papers and marketing document, we all need to go though a lot of unnecessary information. One of the best way to reduce such information overload is by the usage of Pictorial information storage which could be easily recalled.
The request is to activate MERMAID diagrams in Proton and in addition, the functionality to convert a MERMAID diagram to 'Flowchart, Sequence Diagram, Class Diagram, State Diagram, Gantt Chart, Pie Chart & ER diagram'.1 vote -

Streamlining File Management: Automatic Deletion of Recycle Bin Contents
I suggest implementing an automatic deletion feature for the recycle bin (or trash folder) contents, where deleted files are permanently removed after a specified time period. This would eliminate the need for manual emptying of the trash folder, adding a convenient touch to file management. While not a critical issue, this enhancement could significantly improve user experience.

Organize with tags
Please, it would be extremely useful to implement the tags feature, similar to what already exists in ProtonMail. This makes it easy to organize and find the different types of files on ProtonDrive.

Chromebook app to mirror one or more directories and their contents on proton drive
An android app could work if compatible to chromeos but I really only need this on my chromebook. It would need to work with an external drive.

Point-in-time recovery of files
Some products consists of multiple files. Thunderbird mail of iPhone backups through iTunes, for example. In case of corruption, ALL files need to be restored from the SAME point in time. Recently, I had a corruption of my Thunderbird mail file system. I tried to recover it from my Proton Drive sync files, but it was way too much work going through each history files. Special characters in Proton Docs
In Proton Docs, please add the ability to insert special characters. Think IPA symbols for us writers, translator and conlangers, and other alphabets such as Greek, Japanese, Mandarin, Cyrillic, etc.

Android App - Set or change default opening tab/page (Photos or Files)
I don't use 'Photos' and don't like that the app loads this by default.
An option to select the default page would be good. 'Photos' would be good if you predominantly use the app to sync photos to the cloud, whereas 'Files' is better if you don't use photos.
Alternatively, have the app remember which tab you were in last and load the same tab next opening.
Alternative 2: Don't default to 'Photos' when the backup is disabled, give us the option once then default to 'Files' unless we enable it.
