Proton Photos
basically Google photos, but better because it's encrypted.
As in, a mobile app for backing up and organizing phone photos.
Maybe we could pay a monthly fee for access to Photos, Drive, and VPN service. I'd much rather support an independent company than Google

Manage user rights on shared files or folders
when sharing a folder or a file, it would be great to be able to choose the other users' rights, like:
- View only
- Modification of the file (or add/remove files for a shared folder)

Ability to Create & Edit files within ProtonDrive
It would be really great, if I have the ability to Create & Edit files within Proton Drive space without needing any external tools.
Features similar to Google Drive/One Drive to manage the entire Office suite, Event if the Libre Office could be accessible within Drive, that would be really great!
Or to the least ability to manage below file types,
- Text File (Not just .txt file, But all text viewer supported files like no file type, .md, .csv, .html, .py, .sh, etc.)
- Word File
- Excel/Spreadsheet FilesWith this, Data privacy would be by design for files,…

Proton Drive Android App — sync with a local folder
I would really like the ability to not only have the offline-available files be accessable from within the Android app, but to also be able to specify a local folder on my device where those files would be located, so I could access them from any other app. Any remote changes are synced to the local files, any local changes are synced to the remote files. One of the reasons is that I need a way to sync my KeePass database between my desktop and my phone. Right now I'm using OneDrive for it, which I believe provides some kind…

Proton Drive File Requests (like Dropbox, paid Box, or pCloud)
Hi,
DropBox has a feature that has come incredibly handy for me in the past: file requests.
When someone needs to send me a large file, I simply send a file request and all they have to do is click on a link and upload the file(s) they want to send me, without having to log in or create an account.
Box.com's paid plans also have this feature.
It would make my life waaay easier if this were available in Proton Drive.
Thanks!!!!

Exclude folders/files
Thank you for the desktop application, it was necessary and I am very satisfied, excellent job. On the other hand, it would be very useful to have the ability to exclude files/folders, either by selecting them or using a regular expression. For example, excluding folders like 'node_modules'.

Show desktop folders on mobile app
I'm using the beta Windows sync client and it works well to be able to sync my folders up to the Proton Drive webapp. However, while the sync client allows you to sync any folders on your machine, no folders outside of the ProtonDrive folder on the computer are showing up on the mobile app. On the web all of the folders that sit outside of the Proton Drive main folder show up under a "Computers" navigation. For those of us that have multiple folders across multiple drives can you enable the ability to see "computers" in the mobile app?

Folder info (size, stats)
In details I'd like to see the number of files and folders inside a chosen folder and it's total size.
It'd be also cool to be able to see details for a number of selected folders combined, so I could check the info for a few folders placed next to each other.138 votes -

Mapping Proton Drive for Mac
I use a MacBook for my daily work and currently rely on a combination of either iCloud or OneDrive storage for saving my files to the cloud. It would be ideal if I could map/integrate Proton Drive on my Mac so that I can save documents directly to Proton Drive and not have to upload through the browser.

Proton Drive password protected folders
It would be nice to have the possibility to assign a password to a specific folder. It's a good solution if you e.g. use your Proton Drive with other family members/friends what so ever.

Proton Drive Windows app: Option to require 2FA and password, before accessing Proton Drive in Windows Explorer
I would like the addition of an option in the Settings menu.
If this option is checked, data 'at rest' in the Proton Drive is encrypted and unusable in a Windows computer by default, on each startup. Only after entering the Proton password and 2FA does the Proton app unlock, decrypt all files and make read/write possible.
To clarify, it could still sync files while in 'encrypted' mode from the cloud to on-premise, but always encrypted first. And usable upon unlock.
Then when the user actually wants to do something, they can enter credentials and decrypt their Proton Drive. Kind…
