  1. Proton Drive Android App — sync with a local folder

    I would really like the ability to not only have the offline-available files be accessable from within the Android app, but to also be able to specify a local folder on my device where those files would be located, so I could access them from any other app. Any remote changes are synced to the local files, any local changes are synced to the remote files.   2. To switch from Google Photos, Proton drive is not the deal. We need Proton Photos

    There is already a request like this. But - from the answer it received by administators, I have the feeling they don't have got the point. This is what I think and what I need ;)
    Google Photos offers specific tools to manage and share photos effectivelly. Unfortunatelly Proton Drive app is not up to this task (as it is not OneDrive, for instance).   3. Linux cli app for Drive

    It would be great to have a Linux app (can be CLI, I don't need a GUI) that syncs the drive with local storage. I'm using Dropbox now who have a Linux client, but it's proprietary so I cannot run it on Asahi Linux for instance. Or FreeBSD. Or any other open source OS for that matter. I think a great addition for a lot of your privacy-aware clientele.

  5. Shared photo albums

    A true, user friendly, encrypted way to create shared photo albums with family and friends, as an alternative to Google and iCloud Photos.

    All people that the album is shared with would be able to add photos to it and every member of the album would receive a push notification that a new photo has been added.

  7. Add (selective) syncing to Linux and Android

    It would be great to have the ability to sync with Android and Linux devices, along with precise control over what gets synced to each device. This could include options like syncing specific subfolders of existing syncs to another device—for example, syncing /Photos/Phone/DCIM directly to your phone’s DCIM folder. Additionally, a feature like a denylist could be implemented to prevent certain files, such as those marked with *.deleted, from being synced, ensuring deleted photos don't get transferred.

  8. Add Shared Folders to Proton Drive Sync

    My wife and I fully utilize the Proton sharing features across the platform. We share files in Proton Drive, but the biggest gap for us is not being able to sync shared folders/files (using Proton Drive Sync for MacOS). The only way we can access the files that have been shared is through the Proton Drive web application.

  9. Proton Drive Photo manager improvements

    Add a feature to manage in a better way our photo on mobile, like adding a search bar, the ability to create albums, or even more the option to choose if when you delete a photo from the phone to delete it also on drive

  10. APP ON COMPUTERS USING UBUNTU

    This has already been mentioned but I detect no progress on the matter. I use Linux Ubuntu. Proton Drive has a computer app for Windows and Mac but not for Linux (and there appears to be no work-around). This is crazy. I want to sync my files with Proton Drive, so as to have a secure, private back-up in the cloud but am unable to do so. Instead I have to manually engender a copy every month or so and then delete the old copies. Please give this serious attention

  11. Proton Docs: documents should use odt format by default

    Even if docx is a format more used, Proton should use odt instead as it is an open and standardized format while docx is proprietary and belongs to Microsoft.

  12. Integrate iOS Proton Drive to transfer files via Share from any application to Proton Drive Mobile

    Currently unable to transfer files to Proton Drive via Share. For example a photo from Photos on an iPhone I decide to put on Proton Drive – I cannot transfer via share (no Proton Drive shortcut available, only Proton Mail)

  13. Synchronize deleting Photos

    When deleting a photo from your gallery, it should be removed from Proton Drive Photos as well, and vice versa. It is really inconvenient having to go to both apps to delete photos you've taken. It should still also be possible to free up space on your phone by deleting local copies, maybe through the Drive app.

  14. Sync existing macOS folders

    I miss the option to sync a folder that is not the default Proton Drive location in macOS. I think this is available in the Windows app.
    Right now if I want to sync files with Proton Drive I need to copy them to the Proton Drive location in Finder.

  17. Exclude folders/files

    Thank you for the desktop application, it was necessary and I am very satisfied, excellent job. On the other hand, it would be very useful to have the ability to exclude files/folders, either by selecting them or using a regular expression. For example, excluding folders like 'node_modules'.

  18. Generate a default shared folder when creating a Proton Family account,

    On creation of a Proton Family account, automatically generate a shared folder where all members of the group will have access. Allow the group admin to adjust the size of the shared space and to adjust read/write/delete permissions of each individual family member..

    The current method of sharing via links and passwords is cumbersome.

  20. Partner with OnlyOffice or LibreOffice to completely replace Google Ecosystem

    Instead of making Proton Docs, Slides, etc. which take forever to make, just partner with a privacy based office suite like OnlyOffice to make everything easier.
