Sync existing macOS folders
I miss the option to sync a folder that is not the default Proton Drive location in macOS. I think this is available in the Windows app.
Right now if I want to sync files with Proton Drive I need to copy them to the Proton Drive location in Finder.

I urgently need this feature which is already available in the Windows version.
Do you have any plans to update the Mac Version in order to be able to sync the file in a more meaningful way? -

To be able to choose to sync folders you choose yourself would be a game-changer. At the moment I need to subscribe to Tresorit who do this excellently, but I would prefer only to have my Proton subscription. Not this double.

Not being able to choose where on your Mac the ProtonDrive root folder (either new or existing) resides is a show-stopper for me. In my case, I have a large number of files on an external drive that I'd like to keep safe on ProtonDrive, but ProtonDrive won't let me specify the existing root folder of these files, rather it wants to create a root folder on my Mac's internal SSD where there isn't the space for these files.
Once this feature is added I can ditch DropBox.

This was marked as "planned" on Nov 30, 2023 and it is quite a basic feature.
I wonder when they are actually going to do this (plus fix sync because it is really really slow and constantly has issues).

Very basic and important function. Mega.io does that quite nicely.

Absolutely. I shelled out for the proton app package over a year ago and, as a Mac user pleased with everything else, the gaping hole in the suite is 'drive'. So you can manually move one file a time? Functionality that has been around since the 90s? Please tell me things are moving on here in development-land and Mac users will be able to sync and back up at some point in the near future, otherwise that huge storage space is useless. Literally the same as a (password protected) usb stick. OK, apart from its physicality and potential for getting lost, but you now what I mean. Do love your work but drive sours the whole package.

Yes, absolutely need this! Will cancel my Sync subscription as soon as this feature is available.
