2. Sort backed up photos by folder

   For the love of all pizzas in the world! Sort backed up photos by folder! If the photos are uploaded from the "Camera/DCIM" folder, upload that folder. If a photo is uploaded from the "Screenshots" folder, upload that folder!

   Just dumping everything in ONE spot is mildly infuriating imo... I do not want to be forced to organize over a thousand photos/pictures AGAIN when they're already sorted just fine on my phone.

   And also, where do the backed up photos go? My phones been backing up photos for the past hour but nothing is yet to be visible in the desktop/Windows explorer 🤷‍♂️

3. Select which folder to sync on different devices

   I have several computers that I use with Proton, an Office Desktop, a Lab/Workshop Desktop, a Linux machine, a Laptop, etc. I use Proton Drive main for backups with a small set of shared files. I DO want all devices to sync every file, it would be SO much better if I could set up folders that would only be sync'd on specific devices.

   For example:

   Office (only sync'd on the office computer)
   Workshop (only sync'd on the workshop computer)
   Laptop (only sync'd on the laptop)
   Windows (only sync'd on the Office, Workshop, and Laptop computers)
   Linux (only sync'd on the Linux computer)
   Shared (sync'd on ALL computers)
   Backups (NOT sync'd on any device - manually uploaded/downloaded)

4. Internal Tabs for Single Documents in Proton Docs

   I would like to request the addition of internal tabs within a single Proton Docs document. Currently, most office suites (including Proton Docs) treat each document as a standalone file, which can make managing related content cumbersome.

   Proposed Functionality:

   • Allow users to create and switch between multiple tabs or sections within a single document file.

   • Each tab would contain separate content (e.g., "Instructions," "Main Report," "Sources"), but all would be saved, shared, and version-controlled as one cohesive file.

   • Users should be able to navigate between tabs seamlessly, similar to how G****e Docs allows multiple sheets or sections within a single document.

   Example:

   Document: Client Project

   • Tab 1: Project Brief
   • Tab 2: Progress Report
   • Tab 3: References & Sources

   This feature would make Proton Docs even more competitive.

   For lot of my friends and co-worker it's a game changer features.

5. See "Backing up items..." list

   I see the "Backing up" notification on both the phone and in the app when it's working, but currently it's just a notification. I think it would be very useful if we could see which items the app is backing up - just the file name or a preview.

6. Proton drive shared link for MacOS

   I am trying Proton drive app on MacOS 15.6.1, and while opening the file or folder contextual menu on the Proton, I don't see the option to create a share link on any file or folder, it is only possible to do it from the Proton drive web page, but it takes extra time and clicks, will this feature come soon? this is a very used feature and other products have this functionality, onedrive, dropbox..

7. Stream mode and Korean language support

   I wish there were separate streaming and mirroring modes, like Google Drive. Streaming mode seems more suitable for enhanced security and less storage burden than mirroring mode. Also, please support Korean!

8. I can't see my MacBook in the Computers section of Proton Drive

   I can't see my MacBook in the Computers section of Proton Drive, and I can't select and sync the folders I want. Google Drive had this feature, and I heard it's available in the Windows version of Proton Drive. Please add this feature to Linux and macOS as soon as possible.

   Bonjour, je suggère la possibilité de choisir quel fichier sera synchronisé sur ordinateur ; cela permettrait d'écarter le problème de la capacité de stockage de l'ordinateur lorsqu'elle est inférieure aux données conservées en ligne. 10. Star rating on shared files - and make the rating visible for all users

    I am a photographer and I want to use Proton Drive to send preview files to my clients, by sharing the folders, so that they can make their selections of images they want edited. Currently there is no star rating on files, and this is more or less a deal breaker for me.

    Keep in mind I am not talking about photos in the "Photos" part of Proton Drive. I am talking about the "Computers" part. I am making a folder on my Computer, and this shows up under Computers - My Computer Name - the folder I have called "Proton Drive"

    In here I have one folder per client, and they might have several sub folders based on date of when the shoot(s) took place. When the client open the preview image, I want it to be possible to mark the image with a star, for example with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+S, like in Google Drive

    Once this is marked, I want this to be visible also for me in my Proton drive so I can know which photos to deliver. Also would want a filter to be able to filter only star marked images, to make it easier to for example move all started images into a new folder

    and it want this feature also when just sharing a link, not to an email

11. Office

    I'd love to have better support for Office Documents on Proton Drive (Android / web).
    I have to work with Word and Excel at work / school, and I store these files onto Proton Drive.

    But if I have to review a document on my phone (I do it often with the foldable screen), I have to download it, then open it with another app, and it complicates greatly the operation, since it is now not saved on my Drive.

    What's more, I use the standard office Font 'Aptos' and Proton Drive web doesn't recognize it, so I end up with an ugly document, with pictures all over the place, making it quite unreadable when pictures are part of the text (i.e. for procedures).

    Please upgrade this viewing experience 🙏

    Like on Google Docs, I would like to have an easier way to share the documents or folders, using a link or sending and invite to access. I would like to see an icon for sharing on the top right with the other icons, or have the same option through right-clicking the item.

13. Proton Spreadsheets Validation Rules, such as Dropdown, should have Conditional Formatting on the same sidebar

    Currently, if I want to have a colored Dropdown with

    Option 1
    Option 2

    and I want Option 1 to have color Green and option 2 to have color Red,

    I need to:
    1. Do data validation, select Dropdown and insert the values.
    2. Do conditional formatting, select "exact text" and insert each of the values.

    If I want to expand or move the conditional formatting such as by CTRL+C and CTRL+V, conditional formatting must be done separately.

    I believe this is simple to implement and greatly improves usability.

14. Quick select in sheets

    Currently in sheets you can use shift to select multiple cells. You can use control shift to select all cells to left/right/up/down

    but, unlike excel and google sheets, if you click shift plus home it should select all cells between the current cell and the top left cell a1. currently it ignores the shift key and just moves the cursor to cell a1

17. Prevent repeated photos/videos in backups of Android

    Each time a folder is activated for backup in android, all the images are uploaded without checking if them are already uploaded. A hash comparison would resolve this issue and prevent photos or videos' duplication

    Could Sheets include a menu / icon option to cut Cells?

    It works with Ctrl + X and there is a menu option for copy and paste but not cut.

19. Proton Sheets - Add other common hour format

    Formatting hours is a really useful option to me. However, being stuck with the AM/PM formatting is really annoying, especially considering that the 24h format is used in a lot of countries and is even the ISO 8601...
    In short I would love to see the option in the formatting... The strangest thing is that it is available when using the date&hour format... Please be consistent and give the user the choice on the formatting they want to use :)
