1. Bulk selecting/deleting photos

   I have over 10 000 photos from over 20 years in my drive. A lot of them are corrupted. I want to delete them all, but I would have to go over each month separately on the web app, or keep scrolling and tapping the "select all" button, because it only selects the ones you have loaded. Pelase let me hold shift to select all photos in between. Or add the ability to bulk delete photos in the CLI.

2. Improve image compression when added to a Proton Docs

   Currently it seems that Proton does automatic resizing (read: compression) of the images inserted into documents. The quality of the photos is absolutely terrible. I gather it's compressed to 300kb, however, it could be so much better quality even with this compression. Please improve, currently this automatic feature of adding photos to documents is making any photo addition completely pointless with the quality being butchered.

3. Advanced management options for photos

   I know that for a lot of us, integrating photos with drive would probably be the best/preferred solution. Since I know that that is currently not the case/possible I still think that there are some functionalities that are missing from photos that would make it 100% better to work with.

   Here are some of my thoughts, I am open to any input:

   1. Filtering. At least to be able to filter all photos that are "unassigned", i.e. not in an album. Maybe filtering by type (video vs image), search query or similar could be interesting too.

   2. Moving photos between albums. I was recently trying to recategorize some of my photos. I just wanted to move them to a different album, but there is no option for that. I am not sure whether photos are mapped 1-N or N-M on albums, but I feels like some management options for that (adding to, removing from) would be great.

   3. Automatic upload to a specific album. It would be awesome to have a setting that says "sync all photos from this folder on my phone to this album". That would make categorizing easier and create new possibilities.

   4. Add labels. If albums are a 1-1 for photos, then labels could be used for N-M associations. I often times catch myself categorizing my photos based on where I was, but would love to add labels like "time with friends", "food" or "outdoors" to the photos within that album. Obviously this would only be helpful with a corresponding filter mechanism.

   5. And of course: integrating photos to drive. That would be sooo awesome :)

   Note: I really like the vision of Proton and I am willing to "give up" on a few of the features that other providers have in the name of privacy and security. I know that these features are much harder to implement in a security first application, but I still think some of these would go a long way to making this product become better long term.

   I am currently using drive myself and I think it would be a shame if I had to stop using it because I cant do things like putting images in a different album. That's why I am very invested in giving as much feedback as possible. Hope it helps, cheers :)

5. Selecting different languages for "Shared" items in Proton Drive.

   When file and folders are shared in Proton Drive, have the option to select a different language for the recipient. For example, in creating and using a "Public link" to share files or folders, have an option to choose a different language for the recipient to use and readily understand when opening the link to Proton Drive to view or download the files.

6. Fix the import of conditional formatting from Excel files

   When I imported an Excel sheet to Proton, some of the existing formatting rules had ranges that exceed the 1000-row limit on Proton. This made all of them break, and I had to edit them one by one in order to fix them. Additionally, I am unable to delete the broken formatting rules unless I fix them.

   Please increase the row-count limit AND when importing formatting that is not compliant with your limits, automatically adjust it and display a warning that you need to do that.

7. Proton Sheets full page print

   A print feature in Proton Sheets to print the whole sheet rather than just 1 page. The current implementation relying on the browser print only prints what is currently displayed on the screen. This is only suitable for very small sheets.

8. Make Proton Docs Look Like Google/Word Docs

   I think proton docs looks weird because everything is centered and you don't see the page you're typing on like how you would in Google Docs or Word. Please give us an option to have it look like we're typing on a sheet of paper, thank you.

9. Disable autoformat

   I see that Proton Docs' autoformat feature could very well be useful for most people. However, for me, it is being actively detrimental to my usage of Proton Docs (e.g. the multiplication symbol * formatting to italics). I would like it if there was a way to turn autoformat off in Proton.

10. Open documents in new window

    I would like the option to right-click on a document and open it in a new window. Oftentimes, I need multiple Drive documents open simultaneously, and currently the only workaround is to have two Drive windows open at the start.

12. Travail collaboratif et partage de liens dans Proton Doc

    Je suis dans une impasse.
    Dans un projet collaboratif, nous avons tous les deux un compte Proton et accès au même dossier partagé (édition possible). Nous utilisons Proton Doc pour échanger nos notes et idées, et régulièrement, nous aimerions pouvoir y insérer des liens vers des fichiers stockés dans le dossier partagé afin d'en faciliter l'accès (au lieu d'obliger à chercher, un clic et le fichier/dossier s'ouvre). Mais cela n'est pas possible, sauf si l'on crée expressément un lien public à chaque fois.
    * Premier frein : perte de temps.
    * Le deuxième frein est que le lien est public : protection des données ?
    * Le troisième frein, il faut opter pour l'accès avec mot de passe. La protection est plus sûre, mais cela signifie un mot de passe pour chaque lien créé, ce qui alourdit tout le processus qui se voulait pratique et rapide.

    Ce serait vraiment très pratique de pouvoir obtenir un lien de partage pour n'importe quel fichier ou n'importe quel sous-dossier d'un dossier déjà partagé avec son collaborateur, sans passer par l'option d'un lien public.

13. GDrive to Proton Drive Server-2-Server file transfer [not just pix]

    Hi

    I looked and did not see anything regarding this, thus my feature request.

    I currently have several GB's of files on my Giggle 😃 Drive account [paid] and would love to be able to permanently move/transfer all those files directly to Proton Drive without downloading them to my laptop first and re-upping them to Proton Drive. A server to server xfer so to speak. I am not familiar with GDrive's API or policies on this so perhaps it's not possible.

    If it's not then so be it. Lol.

    Hello Proton Team,

    I would like to request several document editing features in Proton Docs that would greatly improve usability and productivity:

    Table cell merging and splitting, allowing users to create more complex and structured tables.
    Column management tools, including the ability to insert, delete, resize, and adjust table columns more easily.
    Page breaks, enabling users to control document layout and separate content across pages.
    Section breaks, allowing different formatting, layouts, headers, footers, or page settings within the same document.

    These features are standard in many document editors and would make Proton Docs a much more capable alternative for professional and academic work.

    I'm a paid Proton Drive customer) using the Windows desktop client on Windows 11. I'm writing to request enhanced sync control options that would bring Proton Drive closer to the flexibility offered by dedicated sync tools like FreeFileSync.
    My remarks refer to the Proton Drive Desktop client

    Proton Drive’s zero-access encryption and privacy architecture are outstanding, but the overall user experience around file creation and management needs refinement to match modern cloud workflow standards:
    Streamlined File Creation & Standalone Access: Currently, creating or opening a Proton Doc forces the user through the full Proton Docs interface and document listing inside Drive rather than opening a focused, standalone document view directly. In comparison to platforms like Google Drive, where creating a file directly opens a clean editing interface, the current flow feels cumbersome and repetitive.
    Native Support for Plain Text (.txt / .md) Files: At present, creating new files inside Proton Drive is limited strictly to Docs and Sheets. Adding native support to create, view, and quickly edit lightweight plain text (.txt) and Markdown (.md) files directly within the drive interface would make note-taking and quick data storage significantly more convenient.
    Addressing these workflow bottlenecks while retaining Proton’s core encryption standards would make Proton Drive substantially more intuitive and user-friendly for daily productivity."

18. Be more specific about the files/folders that are syncing

    Currently, on the Proton Drive app for Windows (and maybe for macOS too, I don't know how is it on that side), when using the file sync feature all the app tells you is "synchronizing". it's very vague, and there's not even an option to pause the sync. having it, plus maybe seeing which file is being uploaded and at what speed (just like Drive's web app), would improve the experience by a lot.

19. Drive Photo, Add folder

    At the moment, the Proton app on Android only allows you to add ‘alven’. However, these do not provide a way to move photos permanently. It would be great if the photo backup feature also included the option to set up a folder structure for permanent moving, so that everyone can back up and organise their photos according to their own preferences. I hope this idea receives plenty of support.
