Feature Request - Storage Cleanup Tools for Proton Drive
It would be valuable to add built-in cleanup tools for Proton Drive, such as:
Sort files/folders by size
Quick view of largest files
Bulk delete or archive options for large items
This would make it much easier to identify and manage space-consuming files without manual investigation.Thank you for considering this!

Feature Request - Per-Service Storage Usage Breakdown
Dear Proton Team,
It would be very helpful to have a visual breakdown showing how much storage each service uses individually (Mail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) within the total account quota. Currently, we only see the combined usage, which makes it harder to identify where space is being consumed.

Typescript SDK that uses OAuth instead of username/password
Google Drive and Dropbox have typescript SDKs that allow me to use them as file storage backends for e.g. an "offline only" app that does not have a backend. Google Drive is messy to use because you have to reauthenticate a lot. Dropbox is really good and has worked great for me for months now. But Proton Drive doesn't have an OAuth SDK so I can't use it because having a privacy-focused offline only app means users who care about privacy will use it, and if they have to enter their proton username and password they will probably not use…

Scoped API tokens / Service accounts for Proton Drive CLI
Proton Drive CLI authenticates only via full user login. No scoped tokens, no service accounts. This prevents secure automation use cases like server backups.
Business customers need:
Scoped API tokens with folder-level access restrictions Service accounts that don't consume user seats OAuth2 with granular scopes (read-only, folder-specific)Current workaround (dedicated user account) forces paying for an unused seat just to isolate access. (Or free accounts)
Security professionals and sysadmins need isolated identities for automation without exposing the full account.

Let us decide which folders are synced to other devices
When we add a folder to the Windows app to sync, we should be able to decide from where we want it to be synced and accessible.
Example with the current state:
I add a folder to the Windows app on PC 1. The folder is then accessible to all other devices and available for sync on demand.

Ability to import from Apple Numbers to Sheets
I would like the ability to import an Apple Numbers spreadsheet directly into Proton Sheets, going through excel loses some formatting int he process and it is hard to determine where the structures were lost. it would also save a step in the process.

Beim Import einer XLSX-Datei nach Proton Sheets werden Zellinhalte mit internen Zeilenumbrüchen fehlerhaft dargestellt: Statt eines echten Zeilenumbruchs erscheint der rohe XML-Zeichencode " " als sichtbarer Text in der Zelle, teilweise auch " " für Tabulatoren. Das macht importierte Tabellen mit mehrzeiligen Zellinhalten (z.B. Vergleichstabellen mit Fliesstext pro Zelle) unbrauchbar, ohne die Codes manuell zu entfernen.
Erwartetes Verhalten: Die XML-Zeichencodes sollten beim Import korrekt in echte Zeilenumbrüche/Tabs innerhalb der Zelle umgewandelt werden, wie es Excel/Google Sheets/OnlyOffice tun.

Add “Date taken” sorting for photos in Proton Drive folders
When storing photos in regular Proton Drive folders, there is currently no useful way to sort them chronologically by the date the photo was taken.
Sorting by “Last modified” does not provide the correct chronological order, especially for photos exported from Apple Photos or imported from other sources.
Suggestion:
Add a “Date taken” sorting option for folders containing photos, based on the photo’s EXIF/metadata when available.This would make Proton Drive folders much more useful as a simple photo archive, without requiring users to use Proton Photos.
For files without a valid date-taken value, Proton Drive could fall back to…

Add zoom in/out to Proton Docs web app
Please add zoom/in/out to Proton Docs. You can work around this by zooming the browser, but that increases the size of all UI elements and isn't a great solution. Hoping this is low-hanging fruit! Thanks

100 GB Proton Drive Plus, für EUR 2,49 monatlich, und ich bin dabei.
Der Titel des Vorschlags beschreibt es im Grunde schon. Ich benötige als online Drive keine 1 TB, und auch keine 200 GB. Weniger wegen der Preisgestaltung als vielmehr deshalb, weil ich auch beim aktuell kleinsten Angebot nie die zur Verfügung gestellten 200 GB nutzen würde. Warum also für etwas bezahlen was man nicht nutzen wird. selbst 100 GB sind noch immer zu viel, aber OK. Wenn ich mein Nutzungsverhalten hinterfrage, und ungefähr weiß, dass ich etwa die Hälfte von 100 sehr wahrscheinlich nutzen werde, macht der monatliche Plan für 100 GB dann irgendwo auch Sinn. Sheets offline mode
Hello
please be aware i am asking for an "offline mode" and not to be confused with "working offline"
1st, yes, they 100% overlaps. The main difference is that working offline is, well, no internet.
while the offline mode is a mode. Something we activate. Even if we 100% have internet.
the reason for this offline mode is very simple: it takes ages to import large csv. Also copy paste entry with, well, millions of entry.

Categories
To keep things organized in Drive and organize documents in a structured way, I came up with the following idea:
A feature that lets me assign categories to files. It should be possible to create these categories and define them with a name and color. This would allow me to define different categories for different topics. With an additional built-in filter function, I could then view the files based on their category.
Personally, this would help me maintain a clear structure in Drive and sort and label the files according to the various topics.3 votes -
bookmarks on documents
how about adding bookmarks on word documents? I would like to go back and forth in the document, writing stuff and everytime I have to scroll through all of it which is kinda inconvenient as soon as the document is long more than 2/3 pages
