Add shared folders to "My files" in Proton Drive
Hello,
I have a Proton Duo subscription and I'd like to request a feature for Proton Drive.
Currently, when I share a folder with my Duo partner, the folder only appears in their "Shared with me" section. Unlike Google Drive, which allows users to add a shortcut to shared folders in their own "My Drive", Proton Drive offers no way to place a shared folder among one's own files.
This makes uploading files slightly less convenient, since my partner always has to navigate through "Shared with me" to access the folder we use together.
It would be great if shared…

Sheets - Drop Down UI Improvements and Color-Coding Options
The ease of creating and editing drop down menus in Google Sheets is so far unmatched by Proton and is keeping me in the Google ecosystem.
Making changes to Google Sheets dropdowns is very easy and intuitive - when selecting a cell, each dropdown option is displayed on its own line, with the option of dragging and dropping to change order and edit the options as their own fields, rather than fields being comma-delimited - and there is the ability to color-code each field so that the contents are easy to differentiate, rather than the current Proton setup simply being…

Locally available downloads for Android
If you download a file locally on drive with an Android, it's still not available in the file structure, so I can't use it to sync local or custom apps. I'd like to be able to have it visible in the file structure so that I can.

Sheets: pick up where you left off
In Microsoft Excel, when one opens a spreadsheet, it opens to where you were when you saved it.
Google Sheets lacked this functionality, but you could work around it with a script that would open the sheets to the bottom of each page.
Proton Sheets has neither option...and it's a bit of a pain, as I've an extensive (and complex) bank ledger going back 20 years with a dozen tabs and over ten thousand lines on the main page.
So I ask - beg, plead, grovel on my knees on broken glass - please, for the love of all that…2 votes -

Improved timeline scrolling / year selector in Photos
I have many thousand photos in Drive dating back to 2003.
The vertical timeline scroll bar in the photo gallery doesn’t work very well for such a long time span. It doesn’t fit on the screen and is “jerkey.”
Perhaps a simple drop-down to select a year or “paging” year-by-year would be better?
Performance isn’t great when scrolling through large number of photos either. If only one year were displayed per page, perhaps thumbnails for that year would load faster?

Add Bulgarian Language Support Across All Proton Apps
I would like to suggest adding Bulgarian language support across all Proton apps and services, including Proton Mail, Proton Drive, Proton VPN, Proton Pass, Proton Calendar, and the Proton web interface.
Bulgarian is spoken by millions of people worldwide and is an official language of the European Union. Adding Bulgarian would make Proton’s privacy-focused ecosystem more accessible to Bulgarian-speaking users and would further support Proton’s goal of making privacy available to everyone.
Ideally, Bulgarian localization would cover the entire user interface, including menus, settings, notifications, system messages, onboarding screens, help pages, and other user-facing content.
It would also be great…

I have proton duo. I think that each user can manage his own files but space must be common. Assign space for each user is not useful.

photos storage
Changing how the photos feature works
There’s no point in files and photos being stored separately, and there’s no way to switch between the two; for example, you can’t even add photos stored in the ‘Files’ section to an album.
What’s more, there isn’t even an option to upload photos directly to the ‘Photos’ section, so I can’t add the photos I’ve edited on my computer to my albums. My suggestion:
The ‘Photos’ option should display all photos and videos available in the ‘Files’ section and allow them to be added to albums. Such as in the case of OneDrive2 votes -

netatmo by Legrand
Hello,
I use Netatmo by Legrand security cameras. Currently, all videos are uploaded to my Dropbox Drive.
I would like to know if you could enable integration between this camera brand and Proton Drive?

Tags and tag search for photos in drive
The addition of a tagging system to photos in drive would allow people to manage photos of people or places, they can manually tag them. But if there is an API this opens up a whole world of features, like a 3rd party desktop api that uses the drive api to download images, scan them with local AI and facial recognition and apply tags to the photos. Then with a tag search the effectiveness from more fully features photo services can present itself without ever having to let Proton get access to the photos.

Print layout for Proton Docs
I would really like to see a print layout in Proton Docs, like the default view of the desktop Google Docs client. I want to be able to see how my document will look printed out, in addition to the seamless view (à la Google Docs mobile app) that already exists, without needing to make a docx or pdf version of my doc.

Add an “Allow Downloads” On/Off Option When Sharing Files in Proton Drive
It would be very useful if Proton Drive could add an option when sharing files that allows you to choose whether someone can only view the file or also download it.
For example, a simple on/off switch:
🔘 Allow downloads
- On → The recipient can view and download the file.
- Off → The recipient can only view the file and cannot download it.
This would make Proton Drive much more user-friendly and secure, especially when sharing files with others but you don’t want them to be able to save or redistribute the files.

Proton Docs text formatting
There is currently no option to format paragraph or line spacing, which would make Proton Docs much more useful in my personal and professional life. Because there is no option to, I find myself returning to other vendors with similar products. Please bring better text formatting to ProtonDocs!

Bulk selecting/deleting photos
I have over 10 000 photos from over 20 years in my drive. A lot of them are corrupted. I want to delete them all, but I would have to go over each month separately on the web app, or keep scrolling and tapping the "select all" button, because it only selects the ones you have loaded. Pelase let me hold shift to select all photos in between. Or add the ability to bulk delete photos in the CLI.
