Proton Photos - Web - Hide photos in marked albums from main view
I use my "main" photos view as a way to scroll back through the memories of my life.
Some pictures, like screenshots of things or photos of receipts or "private" photos, I do not want to see these in my main list. They clutter this view and make it ugly.
I propose adding a "Hide these photos from the main view" checkbox to albums, that hides photos in these albums from the main view once they are added to it. This would allow my main view of photos to stay clean.

Proton Photos - Web - "Add to album" stays visible when selecting photos in an album
It is common for photos to appear in several albums at once. For instance I have individual albums for my nieces and my cats, and photos commonly feature several of these people in the same photo.
When I select photos in the main "Photos" tab, I get an "Add to album" button.
When I select photos within an album, the same button does not appear. I only have the options to download or remove from the current album.

Photos: add option to see only unsorted pictures
With 20.491 pictures uploaded, the main view is unusable, sluggish and way too long to just scroll down.
A lot of people ask to have the option to not see in Main the pictures already in a gallery; but why not add a tab next to "Panorama" "Bursts" etc with "unsorted"?

When wrapping a column in sheets, it should adjust the height of all rows to fit the content of that column without the need of manually adjusting it.

Create version history for XLSX documents
Currently Proton Drive does not appear to create a version history for XLSX documents. That is a serious risk for anyone who stores information in this format, because all it takes is one erroneous save (or a ransomware attack) successfully syncing, and the data is gone for good. One major argument for cloud drive use is exactly the prevention of such a scenario and frankly, when you promote a product with a 10 year version history then it adds a bitter aftertaste when that version history does not cover one of the file types where you will most need it.

Proton Drive CLI: Content-aware conflict detection for `filesystem upload -c merge`
Implement content-aware (checksum-based) conflict detection in the merge mode so that byte-identical files are skipped, avoiding redundant uploads, storage duplication, and version history pollution.

Writing @today in Proton Docs automatically includes today's date or a date picker.
I propose a feature where writing @today automatically includes today's date. The date can then be selected and show a calendar to change dates.
This feature helps speed up daily standup date inclusions in a doc to organize our meeting notes.
This feature already exists for example in Google Docs and is a great time saver.

You offer the Calibri font in Spreadsheets, but not in Docs? Please streamline and offer it in Docs too. This feels like a no-brainer.

Open Source Font Library in Proton Docs
Please add support for the open-source font library (Google Fonts) in Proton Docs, but hosted directly on Proton's servers or routed through a zero-tracking CDN like Bunny Fonts.
The current font selection is too bare-bones for professional documents. If Proton hosted these open-source fonts locally, it would fix the typography limitations of Proton Docs without leaking user IP addresses to third parties. This is the main feature holding me back from fully dropping Google Workspace.

Cloud-only Mode as the Default for Windows
Hello Proton Drive team,
Please consider making Cloud-only mode the default behavior for the Windows app, similar to the Android app.
Files should remain only in the cloud by default and should only be downloaded when the user chooses to open or download them. Users who prefer local syncing could enable it in Settings.
This would save disk space, improve privacy, reduce unnecessary local file copies, and provide a cleaner, more consistent experience across devices.

cli - support r/w access to data via shareable links
fully support share links as an additional / alternative option to full account login for r/w access to files/folders.
Instead of requiring a full proton account login it should be possible to use as share link (password protected or otherwise) to access nodes via the cli.
This would greatly simplify using the CLI or SDK in headless setups and other tools like rclone and also vastly reduce the threat model in case of compromised keyring, fault in credential handling in the CLI etc.

Search within folder
Search function to be restricted to the folder currently in. Global search should not be the only option. Many file arrangements have similar names or even the same ones, in different folders.

Please implement an exclude function? For instance I never want to upload .DS_Store files from my mac, or .git folders, etc. something like --exclude <pattern>

Add a dry-run flag To the cli
Can you implement a --dry-run feature to the cli? I want to be able to see what will happen if I start a large or complex upload.
It should show both the local files to be transferred and the final path of the uploaded files

Get yourself into Multicloud. Uploading all my stuff from a different cloud service is taking ages. I would have finished if you were in Multicloud as my previous provider is.

Have created Proton Drive Utility Based rather using terminal. its a Linux App Utility "more a utility then the traditional proton drive app" try and give feed back to the email listed on the GitHub page.
in beta and development but still usable and see what you guys think!?!

Manual data upload/download management
Would be great to manage and control uploading tasks manually too. For example upload priority, queue order, etc. auto-pause for certain files / folders.

Date in a European format. Like DD-MM-YYYY
The date is only America. That sucks. And is confusing for Dutch people and other Europeans who use a more logical Date system. Like Day-Month-Year.
