  1. Control how often a Proton document auto-saves

    Editing a long Proton doc is becoming impossible because it auto-saves so much that it becomes unusable and lags.

    Is it possible to control the auto-save settings so that it only autosaves every (e.g.) one minute rather than after every keystroke. It's not a problem for small documents but it is for bigger than 8-10 pages.

  2. Add "Print Layout" Option To Docs

    Add a "Print Layout" option that would make Doc's more suitable for printing. You might want to consider adding page Headers, Footers, and Page Count to that as well. Although for now, a print layout would be a good start.

  4. Support Mermaid.js diagrams in documents

    We already need proper Markdown support (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/48615425-directly-edit-markdown-files-as-docs). Mermaid diagrams are the de facto standard on the web now too, and easy to add since they are a JavaScript library.

  6. Secret folder or Proton Vault

    On several devices, there are multiple applications to create secret folders, such as on Android there is "Gallery Vault" or the Google vault, or the Samsung secret folder, but the problem with these products is that they are products from big brands, or in other cases, bloatware, or adware, or simply unreliable.
    Which is why I suggest creating a Proton Vault, an app to encrypt files in the security of an inaccessible and hidden hidden folder, like, hide it under the mask of a Calculator app, or other ways depending on the user! And with a Proton Drive cloud sync…

  9. Share-Icons that show password protection and expiry date

    Currently, an icon only lets the user know if a file or directory is currently being shared.

    It would be awesome to enhance the icon a bit (e.g. with a little clock in the corner of the icon) if the user set an expiry date for the folder. This way I do not have to click on the icon and then on the settings icon in the dialogue to check if it is set.

    The same can be done for password protection: Adding a little padlock quickly lets the user know that a password has been set for the shared…

  10. Show backup status in Proton Drive App

    In the "My Computer" tab of proton drive, I'd like to be able to see the progress of each folder's sync. It could be a percentage or a fraction view, showing the number of gb transferred vs gb left.

    Also, having more options for syncing would be preferred as well such as the ability to pause computer sync to allow items in the sync folder to sync ("My Files") or being able to set the batch size from 4 to something larger (for example when transferring many small files)

    Currently, Proton Drive has limited support for video file playback, requiring users to download external players like VLC to view certain formats such as .MOD files. Expanding Proton Drive’s built-in video player to support a wider range of formats would improve usability and convenience, reducing the need for third-party software.

  14. Save to external drive

    Saving to external drive.

    I have a mac mini with 256GB on it. After installing all the apps and documents that I use, more than half of it is used. Not to mention the caches, temp, backup files, etc.

    I use Box and other online storage and they have options to where to store their files so I use an external drive to store my files synced with the online storage apps that I used.

    I would love to see Proton Drive to have the option to store the files.

  15. Automatically Sync All Files for Offline Access in a Folder

    Currently, you can download a file or folder to be available offline in the Desktop app. However, if I add something on another device, it only downloads automatically if I tell it to or if I open it manually.

    I would like the option to automatically make all files in a folder available offline, even if another device has added files to that folder.

  16. Better android app PDF viewer

    Currently in the Drive android app you can read PDFs stored on your drive but the reader lacks features, mainly the ability to quickly go to a page or scroll fast. Currently, if you want to read page 100 of a PDF you will have to swipe 100 times which is quite unpractical. Adding a button to go to a specific page by entering its number or a slider that lets you scroll through the whole PDF by sliding it on the length of your phone screen (like in adobe's acrobat reader) would help a lot.

  17. Buy and integrate Filen.io as a replacement for Proton Drive

    Really, Proton Drive is an important idea but it's taking forever to become a viable product. Meanwhile Filen.io has been running for a while, is similarly security-focused, and already offers a sophisticated set of desktop, mobile, and web clients. Additionally Filen properly supports Linux along with other OSes, which so far Proton seems unable to accomplish. How about completing your service by boosting it with a Filen acquisition?

  18. Record voice notes and voice-to-text option

    It would be great to have the option to record private voice notes either in Proton Drive or Standard Notes (or both!)
    Besides that, an option to turn voice to text would be awesome!

  20. Pin Documents/Files & Folders — Color Code Documents/Files & Folders — Add Folders To Lefthand Bar

    Proton Drive is already a FANTASTIC Product! But there is room for improvement in the file 'organizing department':

    — It would be extremely useful to both be able to pin important Documents/Files and Folders, so that they are always showed on top in the File List, no matter how the rest of the files are organized (by Name, Modified or Size).

    — It would also be extremely useful to be able to Color Code Documents/Files and Folders, and name the color codes, for example if you have a Project Name or Relation (Holiday, Family, Work etc.). Color Coding enables one…
