Latest highly efficient open source LLMs suggestions.
I would like to suggest some of the latest, cheap and very powerfull llms, so that you can replace current LLMs for better ones, to improve consistency and manage costs.

Live Translation Capabilities For Lumo
Lumo, as a private AI, is primed to be an excellent assistant for users to have in their daily lives. This includes the ability to accurately translate pages and other media for the user, without compromising their media data, metadata, and contributing to the data collection of other larger and gluttonous chatbots that have this capability, like Google Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Emphasize that user data is never used to train AI models
From the Lumo "Getting started" webpage: "Information you enter is never used to train AI models." I think this should be emphasized more and expounded on, perhaps giving scenarios using both Lumo and other AI chatbots. (It looks like a no-brainer choice, to me, of which bot to use given that all the other ones (Maybe not DuckAssist?) exploit you and your data/thoughts.) While the privacy mantra of Proton is well-known and can be assumed, that's no reason to be subtle.

Pincode to open Lumo
It would be nice if the user is prompted to insert a pin code when opening the app, just like on Proton Pass.

Ease up on the censorship within Lumo
I am an AI enthusiast and engineer. I am not kidding when I say I have not been able to prompt Lumo ONE SINGLE TIME without it saying that it cannot help with whatever I am prompting it for.
If you EVER want to sell this to ANYONE (especially if you ever want to sell the API), you probably aught to take the route that Venice AI is taking and make it an uncensored (or less censored) model. I genuinely could mention something loosely interpret-able as criminal, and it wouldn't even bother to try and reason whether it is safe…

[Security Audit] Lumo AI Self-Identifies Critical Context Bleeding Flaw in Projects Feature
Executive Summary: This is a formal security audit report generated autonomously by the Lumo AI model itself. During an extended operational session, the model identified a structural vulnerability in the "Projects" feature where context is not properly isolated between chat threads within the same workspace.
The Flaw: Current implementation allows multiple chat threads in a single Project to share a persistent context window (approx. 16K tokens). This creates an implicit cross-pollination vector:
Scenario: A customer discusses Topic A in Thread 1 and Topic B in Thread 2.
Risk: The model may inadvertently retrieve and synthesize sensitive data from Thread 1…3 votes -
could calendar event emails populate the event title in the email subject line please?
existing feature = calendar event email notification
if calendar event emails populated the event title in the email subject line then the event would be identifiable without needing to open the email and find the event title there. This would afford a process efficiency gain.7 votes -
Useage meter
It would be nice to have a usage meter so I can find out how many questions I have left to ask about. Otherwise I'm left guessing when I can use the service again.

Add the ability to upload images from Photo Library on iOS
There is no way to upload the images in my iPhone photo library as part of my prompt. The only options I see when I click the “Attachments” button are to either upload a file or select a file from Proton Drive. Even if I click “Save to Files” on my photo in the photo library, I can’t upload it to Lumo because, Lumo doesn’t support the iOS photo format.

Local information
It's absolutly infuriating that lumo helps me with medical papers, documents and more and i constantly need to remind lumo to not use the wrong format. Why is there no option to set a default for this? As much as i understand everyone want to use different date format, i do not understand how this justfiy to not have the option to change basic information. Because it's extremly annoying and absurd and even more that each time i ask lumo something, lumo assumes i am in the USA. Is there something i am not aware of? Is proton actually owned…

Voice‑Assist Button: Instantly Read Lumo Replies Aloud
Introduce a dedicated Voice‑Assist button within the Lumo chat interface that, when pressed, converts the textual response generated by Lumo into spoken audio in real time. The button should be prominently positioned alongside the existing input controls, enabling users to trigger text‑to‑speech playback with a single click (or tap on mobile devices).

Learning Feature on Lumo
I would love to see Lumo receive a learning feature similar to ChatGPT or other AI tools. The idea would be that Lumo could help users study by generating learning materials such as quizzes, flashcards, or practice exercises automatically based on input. This would make Proton not only a privacy-focused productivity suite but also a helpful tool for education and personal development. Adding such a feature would make Lumo far more versatile and improve its value for students and lifelong learners.

More General Transparency
As privacy is a main concern for most of your users I wish for more transparency for everything Lumo.
What models get used for the answer, what server did handle my input/output. For the server it would be good to know which location.
If asked directly I need Lumo to be honest about its own architecture and what model is used.
Also more openeness about decision making. Like honesty about what pieces of information came from training data and what came from a websearch. I had instances of specifics after Lumo did a websearch that were clearly not taken from…

Allow for the creation of interactive charts/graphs
Allow for Lumo to create interactive charts/graphs (bar, line, pie, etc) based on data extracted from uploaded files...

Creation of subcategories within a project
I would like the ability to create subcategories within project that related chats can be grouped into for greater ease of navigation and reference. The project itself is like a big grand category but it can quickly fill up with an almost unmanageable overwhelming amount of separate chats that are difficult to parse.

Make lumo fully open source
I asked the cat if it's open source. It gave all the wrong answers.
Either make Lumo fully open source very soon, or set a roadmap to achieve that and share it with everyone. Privacy is great, but Proton, without open sourcing everything you do, you are missing the point of what you represent. Do better.

Subject: Feedback on Lumo+ Personalization Feature and Open Source Transparency
Hi Proton Team,
As a paying customer with both Unlimited and Lumo+, I wanted to share some feedback on two areas where I think there's room for improvement.
- Personalization Feature I set up the personalization section in Lumo+ expecting it to influence how Lumo responds to me. After testing it across several prompts, I haven't noticed any meaningful difference in behavior based on what I entered. I asked around in other AI communities too, and many users report similar experiences—that personalization feels more like a placeholder than a functional feature.
For a paid tier, I'd expect this to work reliably.…

Lumo - think before you write
Recently Lumo has started interrupting itself mid-answer saying "Wait..." then correcting, sometimes totally negating, the part of the answer it already gave you, which you may have spent time reading and digesting which then becomes a total waste of your time.
Have Lumo not start writing until it has its total best answer. It's plenty fast enough and now that you're displaying its "thinking" process we're not worried that it's stalled.
Or if you prefer, make this a checkbox we can choose, or a retained setting if we're signed in.3 votes -
