  1. Make it possible for Lumo to interact (via an dedicated Proton AI agent) with all your apps within the Proton Suite

    E.g.

    • I want to tell Lumo that it should add the vacation details of the last Protonmail I've received to my Proton calendar

    • update a specific proton Sheet with the latest information I give it (add a number to a column)

    • show me photos of my vacation in October last year (e.g. only selfie photos)

    • ask when my Proton subscription will expire.

    etc

The idea is to have one Proton app to manage your entire Proton suite. Like a secretary. ofc you would need to set up everything separately.

To think this even further, make it possible to integrate Lumo…

  2. Ability to affect the model choice

Especially for paying power users, it would be nice to have the ability to manually affect the choice between models. I understand if this doesn't fit your service framework, but I wanted to just put this out there.

  3. Add a usage tab to Lumo

Lumo should provide a dedicated usage tab where users can see their daily resource consumption in real time, including Max model requests, image generations, and any other rate-limited features.

Lumo enforces daily limits on features like the Max model and image generations, but these limits are not surfaced to the user. The only feedback is an automatic fallback from Max to Lite when the daily Max cap is reached. Users have no way to check how much of their quota they've used or how much remains, making it difficult to manage their own consumption throughout the day.

    It would be…

  4. Date and time in responses

Lumo doesn't give any indication of the time of the response. This is missing if one looks at later responses. And in general, it's good to time stamp events;-)

  5. Really needs image OCR

There are a lot of image processing requests here. All basically requesting the same thing with different wording. Moderators should combine them to increase the votes. Basically we need Optical Character Recognition for uploaded images, and some PDFs that contain bitmaps. On a cell phone, this is critical and the primary reason I rarely use lumo. Being able to upload a screenshot of a log file, or a code routine, or a medical lab result and have it convert to text and analyze it is really needed. Every other big name model has this ability, but I am sure you…

  6. Voice Mode and Assistant

Lumo should support Voice Mode and Android Digital Assistant integration

Lumo would become much more useful with a voice conversation mode similar to Gemini or ChatGPT Voice.
It would also be great if Lumo could be set as the default Android Digital Assistant, allowing users to launch it via the power button or assistant gesture and use it hands-free like Google Assistant.

For privacy-focused users already using the Proton ecosystem, this would be a fantastic alternative to Google's AI assistant. 👍

  7. Extend Lumo to have integrated TTS/STT for full Voice Interaction

For general Chat, its really nice to be able to have a conversation using voice rather than keyboard. And while I know that the Android/IOS apps offers STT, its unfortunate that I have to use the phones TTS to complete the loop. For my tablet and/or webbrowser a full TTS/STT feature would be nice.

  8. Ability to rename conversations with Lumo

I can do this with ChatGPT and Deepseek, but not with Lumo, and it's a lot better to have a short concise way to ID my conversations rather and a string of text that is hidden because I keep lumo on a smaller window.

  9. Lumo Companion

Lumo Companion, virtual Girlfriend or Boyfriend. I like lumo and everything it stands for, but for $9.99 a month(with annual sub) I will like the option to have a virtual companion.

  10. Import Chat to Project

I've already had a number of chats that I realized would be best in a dedicated Project, but there's no easy chat-import function. Thanks to Lumo's report, I see it's a privacy-protection feature, so I'm quite thankful for that. But at the same time, perhaps a good balance would be to have a selective-transfer function, we can cause check-boxes to appear beside all prompts, Lumo-replies, and chat-knowledge files, so we can choose what to copy and what to allow for deletion, then paste it into a Project?

Most people I know use Libre office for much of their Office needs, as I do - is there any future plans to support Libre Office files? .odt, .ods, etc.

  13. Train Lumo on Proton UI

It would be cool if Lumo was trained on Proton's UI. That way, I could ask it a question about where I could find a certain setting (of if the setting exists at all).

Currently, I search the Proton site or a search engine and it takes a long time to find what I want.

When I do ask Lumo a question about Proton's UI, it often confidently gives me a wrong answer.

  14. Rename & Organize Chats in Lumo+ for Max Privacy/User Control

Currently you can delete chats or add to favorites (where are favorites?), but there's no option to rename them. For users who like to refine, re-organize, and manage their chat history, being able to rename chats would be very helpful. Also, renaming would complement the Memory toggle and Projects features nicely by giving users more control over organizing their conversations.

  15. I love the cat mascot! Please keep it!

Having just switched to the Proton ecosystem, the cat AI mascot was a delightful surprise. It conveys a sense of independent intelligence and watchful privacy without feeling sterile. It feels sophisticated yet approachable which matches Proton's reputation perfectly. For me, it symbolizes the privacy-first nature of Proton in a way that text alone couldn't. It makes the experience feel much more personable to me. Please keep the cat!

Uploading image files is critical nowadays and lumo does not support .png files in order to analyse it.

  19. Implement TEE-Based Confidential Computing for Lumo Inference

Feature Request: Implement TEE-Based Confidential Computing for Lumo Inference
    Summary

Lumo's current security model does not protect user prompts during inference — the window when plaintext is most exposed and most exploitable. This is not a theoretical concern; it is a documented architectural gap with a proven, production-ready solution that a direct competitor is already shipping.
    The Problem

Lumo's security model blog post dismisses inference-time privacy by framing the only alternative as homomorphic encryption (HE), correctly noting it is impractically slow. However, this framing is a false dichotomy.

    As Proton's own documentation acknowledges:

"prompts are asymmetrically encrypted so only the

  20. Add support for Skills

I suggest Proton Lumo adopt Skills from (for example, skills.sh) as a lightweight way to package predefined trusted, domain-specific knowledge into small, reusable text modules. In practice, a Skill gives Lumo a clearer “expert lens” for a given topic, so instead of offering broad generic answers, it can respond with guidance that is more grounded, consistent, and relevant to the user’s actual question.

This matters for Proton Lumo because users will judge the product on whether it feels genuinely helpful in everyday moments. Skills can make Lumo better at explaining complex topics in plain language, guiding people through sensitive or…
