save transcript as pdf
I've come to appreciate the capabilities of online research using your AI assistant Lumo and use it quite often and also find some of the resulting conversations interesting enough to save.
However, the format produced by copying the transcript to the clipboard is rather unattractive, which is why I ultimately then ask Lumo to output the text again in Markdown format so I can then convert it to finally to pdf.
It would be very helpful if Lumo also offered a button to perform these operations automatically and make the resulting file available for download.

"Voluntarily disclose" some chat with Lumo to help training
One of the disadvantages Lumo faces compared to its rivals is the shortage of training data. Why not offer Lumo users (both free and paid) the option to allow some of their chats to be used for training? For example, add a button at the beginning or end of each chat asking: "Do you want to donate this chat to help train Lumo?"
To encourage participation, Proton could offer a small reward for every chat donated—like a few minutes of premium usage or temporary access to advanced features.

Move Existing Chats into Projects
Dear Proton Team,
I'm writing to respectfully suggest adding a feature that would greatly improve the organization capabilities of Lumo Projects.
Currently, there is no clear way to move an existing conversation into a Project workspace. While Projects are designed as dedicated spaces for bundling chats, files, and custom instructions, users cannot transfer past conversations into them. This creates a significant organizational gap.
Many users naturally accumulate conversations across different topics and workflows over time. Without the ability to move these conversations into relevant Projects, they remain scattered and disconnected from the context where they belong. This limits the utility…

Rename & Organize Chats in Lumo+ for Max Privacy/User Control
Currently you can delete chats or add to favorites (where are favorites?), but there's no option to rename them. For users who like to refine, re-organize, and manage their chat history, being able to rename chats would be very helpful. Also, renaming would complement the Memory toggle and Projects features nicely by giving users more control over organizing their conversations.

Code editor
It would be nice if the codeblock Lumo uses would be an interactive code editor.
Right now if I ask Lumo to change part of my code it also tends to rewrite other parts of code which I didnt ask it to do. With an interactive code editor I would be able to select a part of the code and make a prompt just about that selected part. Or I could edit the code myself if I dont like something without having to copy paste the whole code again to Lumo to let it know I edited something. This wouldn't…50 votes -
Search not just Lumo chats titles but also content
The sidebar allows searching in chat titles, but I am unable to easily find on how to search in the chats content (in my questions and Lumo replies). I am aware that i can use browser Ctrl+F to search in current chat, but not in all available chats).
Ideas:
- after you type the search query, maybe hitting enter can execute search in content.

Ability to edit chat names (especially in projects).
The automated chat names often aren't relevant to the topic. The ability to edit them would be helpful, especial for projects.

It would be great if the upcoming meet app would have an option to summarize and transcript meetings.

Coding Assistant (plugin or CLI)
I would like to use Lumo as my coding assistant like GitHub Copilot (Intellij, VS Code plugin and/or CLI)
This would be very helpful for my usage. I am currently juggling Claude Code, GitHub Copilot (CLI and plugins), WindSurf, and Jetbrains AI. But, I would like to settle on a single more privacy focused one, if it is competent (esp. Kotlin, C#, Rust, Zig).

Option to change ghost mode chat back to normal chat to be saved
Sometimes I started a chat in ghost mode, but changed my mind and would like to save it. This is currently not possible, so a button to revert ghost mode chat to normal chat would be nice.

Report Carbon equivalent footprint of a user requests
I think I do not have to explain that energy consumption of LLMs even doing only inférence is high.
Since Proton has always promoted transparency over source code of its tools, I believe it should also pioneer transparency on this matter.

allow copying history conversation into the projects that we create.
currently there isn't an option to copy old chats into new projects. why? this is quite disturbing and prevent us from organizing our old conversations.

Lumo integration with Proton Meet for accessibility (live auto-captions)
Perhaps Lumo could be used in Meet to provide live captioning for hard of hearing/Deaf folks to be able to follow along.
Having a meeting platform that is a) affordable/free b) accessible and c) privacy-minded would be incredible. I haven't found a single platform that meets all of those criteria well, and if you make this happen, you would be giving the world a gift. Thanks!

iOS 27+ Siri Integration
The IOS 27 beta is releasing tomorrow June 8th with a revamped Siri that supports the third-party chatbots Claude, OpenAi and Gemini. I have no desire, as do many of us to use any of those apps due to privacy issues. There is no good reason that a security focused AI should be excluded from that list, in fact it should be at the top of the list in this day and age. To me this is a must have. Better transparency for Lumo answer - Show Groundedness, Factuality score per answer
Proton Lumo AI should not only be private, but also fair and transparent about its answers.
I propose adding simply statistics to each answer derived from the metadata that is already present. E.g. a single bar going from green to red that show the likelihood of an answer being well founded (groundedness score) or something similar to a F1 score. In my opinion this matches the transparency that Proton is providing for all its products. Similar to how Proton uses Open Source code, it should also aim for maximum transparency of Lumo AI answers. Tasks
I'd really to have a tasks feature where I can set up quick to-do lists as well as quick notes. Currently setting most of these up as calendar events to remind at a specific time. This is a quick fix but can be a bit much on the fly. Something like how Google Tasks / Notes work. This could also be a re-occurring task (like take out trash) that doesn't necessarily clutter up the calendar.
