  1. Calendar - Make today stand out a bit more

I use the calendar in month view and sometime find myself scanning for todays date. In this view with many events being displayed the simple ring round the date doesn't really jump out.
My old google calendar (which I'm trying to get away from) has today inverted which I find much more visible. Looking at it now, it is a solid blue circle with white text, I personally find it very easy to find.
I'd just like today highlighted a little more strongly than it is now please.

  2. Notification for Changes in Shared Calendars

    Dear Proton Support Team,

I have been using Proton Calendar together with my partner to manage our family calendar. The ability to share a calendar and edit it collaboratively is very valuable to us.

    Issue:
At the moment we only receive reminders for events that we create ourselves. When my partner adds a new event (even if it is scheduled several weeks ahead) or modifies an existing one, none of us receives any notification—neither a push notification nor an e‑mail. Consequently, we often discover new entries only when we manually scan the calendar.

    Desired behavior:

Automatic notification (push or e‑mail) for

  3. Allow a chat to be splitted in two

Quite often, you start from a question, then derive to another subject, so that a single chat can contain different answers to different questions. These digressions are then difficult to find back, as the title only reflects the original question.

It would be nice, if simple to implement, to be able to split a chat into two different one, in order to have a better classification of past chats.

  4. Stand‑alone Lumo Windows Application

Create a native Lumo desktop client for Windows that delivers the full Lumo experience—chat, writing assistance, file uploads, and secure conversation management—without requiring a browser. A dedicated Windows app would let users keep Lumo open alongside other productivity tools, benefit from hardware‑accelerated rendering and system‑level notifications, and integrate with Windows credential storage to preserve zero‑access encryption. It could also cache recent conversation history locally for offline read‑only access and provide a system‑tray icon with quick‑launch and status indicators. The first release should mirror the web app’s feature set, offer a Windows‑styled UI (dark/light mode, resizable windows, snap‑assist), support automatic signed…

  5. Notify existing Proton users that Lumo is a new Proton product offering

Until I logged-in to Proton uservoice.com, I didn't know that Lumo exists. I do not recall getting an email notification. I got a notification, e.g., for Proton Authenticator. Anyway, I'm researching Lumo now, as I definitely can see myself using a Proton chatbot vs. other (data-collecting) offerings from those evil IT megacompanies. Currently, I have DuckDuckGo's DuckAssist set to offer answers as frequently as possible.

I really see traditional web search being replaced by AI-based search entirely. Perhaps AI-based search is the answer to finally being FREED from all the marketing results when you really want information rather than product/company/shopping…

  7. Allow external files as data sources

It's annoying that I have to download publicly available files in order to upload to a Lumo session. Since you have a web search option, I know you have access to the web. Please add functionality that allows us to point to URLs to use as data sources. For example, I have some markdown files in my public GitHub repos i would like to use as a data source

  8. Duplicate Event Button on external calendar events

Today it is very easy to duplicate an event from my own calendars. However I am missing the possibility to copy/duplicate an event from an external calendar into my personal one.

  9. Local information

It's absolutly infuriating that lumo helps me with medical papers, documents and more and i constantly need to remind lumo to not use the wrong format. Why is there no option to set a default for this? As much as i understand everyone want to use different date format, i do not understand how this justfiy to not have the option to change basic information. Because it's extremly annoying and absurd and even more that each time i ask lumo something, lumo assumes i am in the USA. Is there something i am not aware of? Is proton actually owned…

  10. Better Mathematical Expression Display

Currently, the mathematical expressions produced by Lumo in responses, are not legible. They are generally in raw latex syntax, which is absolutely unsuited for display purposes. They should be rendered either as legible plain text (probably bold-faced for distinctiveness) or as document-typeset graphic math expressions.

  11. Some replies are unnecessarily long / Make shorter replies

Quite often Lumo is longer in its replies than I would like to. I can always ask Lumo to be short, but it is a bit annoying.

    A) Can there be some switch near the prompt where i can single click to change length of the reply? (my last choice would be remembered or in a Settings would be an option where I can override this so it always resets to a mine defined default length)
    B) Make the replies shorter and add a button at the end of the reply, where i can click to let Lumo return more…

  12. Persistent behaviour across sessions

I prefer my chatbots to adhere to certain strictures. No sycophancy, no "understanding my frustration", no apologies for bad information, full research, etc.. Gemini and Copilot adhere to these standing instructions across chat sessions, tho they backslide from time to time and need reminding. I want Lumo to do the same. The "How should Lumo behave" box should be persistent. If I am logged in with my account I am unconcerned about privacy since it's my Proton account and is secure. Nothing sets me off like "I understand your frustration." You're a LLM. You do not.

  14. Option to pin lumo's messages in a side panel.

Similar to how we can pin messages in Discord or how we can put bullet/pages in Logseq's side panel.
It's kinda difficult browsing long conversations in Lumo.
Pinning important messages would allow easy access without filling up the conversation even more.
The side panel could be similar to the already built in chat knowledge panel.

  15. Add ability to think

It would be nice to have a "Think" feature like ChatGPT. Doesn't have to be as complete, just letting the model iterate on the solution it is going to give would be nice

  16. Proton should train two small specialized models for Lumo

Hey, I know Proton isn't an AI lab and training models is hard. Wishlist post, not a demand. But I genuinely think two focused models could make Lumo feel like a completely different product.

Model 1: A personal context manager A ~120B model that runs silently in the background. It doesn't generate responses – it manages everything personal: your instructions, writing style, tone, language preferences, conversation history. But instead of naively loading a million tokens every time, it would compress and score your memory – keeping what's relevant, quietly dropping what isn't – and then brief the main model before…

  19. Define the title of new chats on creation

The ability to set the title of new chats on creation instead of the default AI summary.

    e.g. - "Let's start a new chat called 'Workday Assistance 2026-01-14'."

  20. More General Transparency

As privacy is a main concern for most of your users I wish for more transparency for everything Lumo.

What models get used for the answer, what server did handle my input/output. For the server it would be good to know which location.

If asked directly I need Lumo to be honest about its own architecture and what model is used.

Also more openeness about decision making. Like honesty about what pieces of information came from training data and what came from a websearch. I had instances of specifics after Lumo did a websearch that were clearly not taken from…
