  1. Allow external files as data sources

It's annoying that I have to download publicly available files in order to upload to a Lumo session. Since you have a web search option, I know you have access to the web. Please add functionality that allows us to point to URLs to use as data sources. For example, I have some markdown files in my public GitHub repos i would like to use as a data source

  2. Implement Screen Reader Accessibility Improvements in the Lumo Web and iOS Apps

As a Lumo user who relies on screen reader technology to access my iPhone, I have several suggestions that would make the Lumo app significantly easier for low vision folks to use. Because it seems the web version of Lumo behaves pretty similarly to the iOS app, I'll focus on the iOS app but do consider these same suggestions for the web app, as well.

Make prompts and responses into single focusable blocks

For an example of this, turn on the VoiceOver screen reader in iOS and observe how it behaves in the Facebook iOS app news feed. Although a…

  3. Lumo create/work Integration into built-in or desktop known/widely used apps

Lumo- Allow the command to generate in built-in known applications on windows/Linux such as photoshop, adobe, unity. Much like using chatgpt commanding it to create an image and it generates a image using adobe etc. Allow Lumo to do this, to Integrate and create/work things faster/get things done in encryption/anontymity without having to go to ChatGpt or using Windows Monitored/Data Collected Co-pilot A.I and etc.

  4. Support for Audio-Transkription

Introduce a built‑in transcription engine that securely converts uploaded spoken audio files into text within Lumo. The feature should be available in both the web interface and the iOS/Android apps, operating entirely under Proton’s zero‑access encryption model so that no raw audio ever leaves the trusted environment.

  5. Create tentative/optional events in Calendar

I need to track events where my attendance is optional, and I may be the creator of that event.

If I get an invitation to which I have not replied, the event is marked tentative, but if I create it that is not an option. It should be.

  7. Suggested Youtube videos were not available

I asked Lumo to suggest 'best' Youtube videos for a certain topic. It returned with 2 videos, but there were problems.

    1. The first video was fine.
    2. The second video was not longer available on Youtube because the Youtube account had been terminated.
    3. I revised the search and told Lumo the problem, and it suggested 2 more videos.
    4. Of the new videos, the link for the first one was the same as the first one in the previous search, even though it was talking about a totally different video.
    5. The second video in the new search also led to an unavailable…

Lumomojis: Enhance with animated expressions that reflect real time conversation state, rather than just the generic "speech bubble".

  9. Proton SMS app that uploads incoming sms to a proton drive file or a proton pass note

A very simple proton sms app that I can log in to my proton account and have it upload all incoming sms automatically (and instantly) to a file on my proton drive (or maybe a note on proton pass).
We all need a phone number tied to our identity wether that be for banks that only allow that form of authentication or other government related tasks.
With that kind of app, we could leave one phone tied to our identity permanently at home, and access received sms on any other device through our proton account. That way we would not…

  10. short key for new line / marker blok to enter code

When I am using lumo to help with coding, I need an option to make a clean new line, to activate the marker box or to enter code the right way. The enter key leads to submitting my chat, and shift + enter or alt + shift + enter won't work, as the chat interface does not interpret them as 'new lines'. This makes it impossible to enter code. The only work around that works is entering the whole marker box (including markers) in notepad, copy, paste.

  11. Lumo chats are saved

As I read the Lumo documentation, I find this FAQ: "Are my chats saved?". The answer given is: "Chats are only saved if you use a Free or Plus plan.". Hello? What plan other than the Free and Plus is there? Is the answer to the FAQ actually "yes"? Explain, please.

  12. Enable Lumo to Integrate with iOS MCP Mode for Voice Assistant Capabilities

In the recently released developer beta of iOS 26.1, references were discovered in the system files indicating that Apple is preparing support for MCP (Model Context Protocol). While Apple has not officially announced this feature yet, these findings strongly suggest that MCP integration is coming soon.

This presents an exciting opportunity for Proton to make Lumo more powerful and accessible by enabling it to function as a third-party AI voice assistant within iOS. Users could directly invoke Lumo at the system level, similar to Siri, but with Proton’s strong emphasis on privacy and security.

    Why this matters:

    - Privacy-first alternative:

  13. Dynamically load files from Proton Drive folder instead of file upload

Please offer the option to point to a folder on Proton Drive. That would be much more flexible instead of uploading new files each time.

  14. Unlimited Calendar Sync Size

I was hoping to switch to Proton calendar as my "source of truth" across the 2 Google and 2 Office 365 calendars I have to juggle on a daily basis. I am however unable to use it because of the "Calendar Too big" sync limitation.

Even the hack-fix of manually adding "start-min=2025-11-01T00:00:00Z" to the target calendar URL does not work. In fact the form field to paste the URL in is too short in number of characters to accept the full string like this:

    https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/d%40panaton.com/private-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/basic.ics?start-min=2025-11-01T00:00:00Z

This is silly and a little ( a lot actually!) embarrassing.

    I am sure Proton…

  15. Add ability to think

It would be nice to have a "Think" feature like ChatGPT. Doesn't have to be as complete, just letting the model iterate on the solution it is going to give would be nice

  16. Restrict set of characters in output code blocks to ASCII in Lumo

Automatically restrict or give me a setting to restrict Lumo's set of characters in code blocks to the ASCII character set. In some of my ongoing conversations it has the habit of occasionally inserting:

    • (U+2011 NON-BREAKING-MINUS) instead of - (U+002D HYPHEN-MINUS)
    • (U+2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS) instead of ... (3 separate U+002E FULL STOP characters)

  17. Improving response quality and reducing bias

As it is, Lumo doesn't work very well.

It hallucinates facts more often than other modern models that also don't access the web. When asked about privacy-related questions, it almost always promotes Proton's services (including ones that don't exist such as "Proton Chat"). I understand that there is an incentive to promote the company's own services, but most people interested in a privacy-respecting LLM, and especially those willing to pay, don't want it to act as a shill for Proton.

  20. Voice‑Assist Button: Instantly Read Lumo Replies Aloud

Introduce a dedicated Voice‑Assist button within the Lumo chat interface that, when pressed, converts the textual response generated by Lumo into spoken audio in real time. The button should be prominently positioned alongside the existing input controls, enabling users to trigger text‑to‑speech playback with a single click (or tap on mobile devices).
