How can we improve Proton Calendar?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. three week view

    A three-week view for the Calendar would be so helpful. It's the most useful feature of Google Calendar, which I'm migrating away from to use Proton services.

  2. In week or month view make the current day more noticeable

    The current day in week or month view is not very distinguishable. It will be better if:
    1. In month view you make a slight change in color of the whole day square.
    2. In week view the same for the current day column

  3. Week view for proton calendar

    Proton calendar is great! My top priority for additional features would be a view that shows all events during a week.

  4. ics

    Move the .ics import for proton calendar out of settings.

    Often this feature is used to import a single event, so it belongs in the main calendar view.

  5. streamline Timezone features

    when creating new event on web UI
    1) adjusting timezone needs to be done twice, separately. please enable by default that both timezones be changed just when we change one of them (doesn't matter which one0

    2) even better, like the android app, perhaps allow the web UI by default only have 1 timezone selection for both starting and ending time. and can add a further option if start and end time needs to be in different time zones (less common i would guess)

    3) easy search for timzeone in android app and web UI. right now it's a painful…

  6. include time zone on calendar invites

    Hello,

    When I get a calendar invite in Protonmail it shows the time for the meeting but it doesn't show the timezone for the time it's displaying. It's confusing as to whether it's showing my time or the meeting creator's time. I'd just like to see the timezone for the time it's showing so I have confidence in it.

  7. Mobile app weekly view

    The app only shows little dots in the monthly calendar, but a weekly view is missing. Optimal a weekly view with more verbose information of the appointments.

  8. Bring back the dedicated Contacts Proton app on the website

    Until recently, there was a dedicated Proton app (like Calendar, Drive, etc.) for managing Contacts in the App Selector. That app is a necessity for batch updates (quarterly or yearly) to contacts.

  10. Custom Views

    One of the best features in Google calendar is the ability to create custom views. The three week view was my favorite. Adding custom views in the Proton calendar would be great!

    There should be visual indicator of current day. I often put dates into wrong week because current and future looks the same

  12. Could we have the ability to color code the time slots?

    See above... With color coding we can prioritize and immediately go to the high priority color (each person can choose their color scheme).

  13. 4-day view of the agenda - in addition to 1 or 7 days

    It would be nice to be able to show on the screen 4 days (today + next 3), instead of the whole week ( where the columns are really small and days far ahead don't matter as much), and 1 day only doesn't allow to plan ahead in the week.

    I guess 3-day view would also do it much better than current options

  14. app invites (calendar)

    i'd like to be able to accept calendar invites and send them out to attendees through the app, not just the desktop version. clunky having to do it through the desktop only

  15. Audio alarms/reminders for events

    Very few calendar apps allow you to set an alarm for the event that has an audible reminder like an alarm clock app would. This would be super helpful so I don't accidentally overlook an event.

    As a ProtonCalendar and Notion user
    I would like to embed my calendar in my notion page
    So that I don't have to duplicate data entry on two systems

  17. Color Labels for Proton Calendar

    In Gmail Calendar, you can label different events with different colors, which can really help organize a busy schedule. I'd love it if Proton Calendar had the same option. Thank you again for all the good work you do! I'm slowly migrating everything from Google to Proton.

  19. Contacts Manager separate yet integrated w/ Calendar & Email

    So far I'm really pleased with the Proton team tools. The basics include: email, calendar, and contacts. Since Contacts are already built into both the email and calendar, PLEASE bump-out the Contacts as a third-pillar separate but integrated app. That would be a complete suite IMHO. Since you're working on syncing with phone contacts anyway, if we use the ProtonContacts we will no longer need the other unsafe Contacts manager apps! PLEEZE? Thank you!

    It would be nice to be able to invite other attendees to a calendar invite inside the app, not just inside the desktop version. is this coming soon?
