3. Link to Lumo app on a F-Droid, .apk (Github)

   Since Google Play is not private, it should not be a big deal for a privacy company (Proton) to publish link to a Lumo Android .apk and a Github repository at https://lumo.proton.me/download and at https://protonapps.com (if that is official source). Also I would welcome F-Droid link.

   There is a Github repo at https://github.com/ProtonLumo/android-lumo but the parent user shows no signs of validation as a official Proton AG account, despite Lumo claims there should be some check-mark on the user page.

4. Option to start Lumo in a floating window

   As the Android Lumo app does not support Landscape orientation, not even on large screens, it would be VERY nice to have the possibility to launch Lumo in a floating window on systems that supports it.

   On e.g. OnePlus tablets Lumo runs nicely when switching it over to a floating window that can be resized and moved around, BUT there is no way to launch Lumo so it always starts in a floating window.

   Please, add the an option in the Lumo Android app making it possible to have it request a floating window upon start.

6. Let the cat learn to speak!

   Add an option where the cat starts reading the answer aloud through the speaker when we enter the message via microphone. This has the small effect of allowing children to grow up with AI in a privacy-compliant manner and give free rein to their imagination, developing stories that the cat can then read aloud. The cat can already write and develop stories, but it still can't read.

   first of all, thank you for creating Lumo — a privacy-first AI assistant that finally allows European users and businesses to use AI without compromising confidentiality or GDPR compliance. Proton has solved the fundamental problem that all other AI platforms struggle with: trust.

   Now that Lumo exists, I would like to propose the next major step:

   ➡️ A Private Lumo App Store for creating, sharing, and monetizing custom “MyLumos”.

   Just like OpenAI has custom GPTs (and a GPT Store), Proton could offer a secure and encrypted alternative — fully compliant, private, and built inside the Proton ecosystem.

   1. What this feature would enable

   Users could create their own AI assistants (“MyLumos”) — for example:

   • productivity assistants
   • privacy-focused advisors
   • business workflow helpers
   • educational bots
   • interactive story or game bots
   • niche expert assistants in specific fields

   …and then share them securely with:

   • the entire Proton community,
   • selected groups,
   • teams within a business,
   • or even privately via Proton Drive.

   All without leaving the Proton environment and without any data ever going to third parties.

   This would be the first truly GDPR-compliant AI app ecosystem, something no US-based provider can offer today.

   2. Why Proton is the perfect place for this

   Other platforms store user chats on US servers, often unencrypted, often used for training, and not protected against government access. This makes serious use cases (business, legal, financial, medical) impossible.

   Lumo is already the solution:

   • End-to-end encrypted
   • No server-side logs
   • Not used for model training
   • Runs in EU-based infrastructure
   • Built by a privacy-focused, community-funded organization

   A Lumo App Store would expand this into a full secure AI ecosystem for Europe.

   This creates a win-win-win situation:

9. travel time before/after event

   It would be great if the calendar added the ability to include travel time to an event, after the event. For example, I have a meeting in another part of the city, and I need 30 minutes to get to the location. It would be very convenient for all that time to be shown in the calendar so that others can see that you are also busy during the travel period.

   Currently this has to be worked around by creating another event or extending the existing one.

10. Sensitive‑Data Confirmation for Feedback

    Problem

    When users give a thumbs‑up/down on a response, the associated snippet (including any code or text shown) is sent for anonymous analysis. If the snippet unintentionally contains sensitive information (IP addresses, ports, encryption keys, hashes, credentials, etc.), that data could be transmitted without the user’s explicit consent.

    Proposed Solution

    Add a post‑feedback check that scans the rated snippet for patterns that look like sensitive data. If a match is found, display a prompt:

    “The content you just rated appears to contain potentially sensitive information (e.g., IP address, key, hash). Do you want to include this data in the feedback you’re sending?”
    

    Provide three options:

    Send anyway – proceed with the normal feedback submission.
    Redact & send – automatically replace detected values with placeholders (e.g., <IP>, <KEY>).
    Cancel – abort the feedback submission so the user can edit or remove the sensitive data.
    

    Benefits

    Reduces risk of accidental leakage of confidential information.
    Gives users explicit control over what data leaves the session.
    Improves overall trust in Lumo’s privacy guarantees, especially for developers and security‑focused users who often share code snippets.
    Aligns with Lumo’s “privacy‑first” positioning without hindering valuable feedback.
    

    Implementation Notes

    Use lightweight regex patterns for common sensitive data types (IPv4/IPv6, ports, hex strings of typical key lengths, SHA hashes, JWTs, etc.).
    Allow the detection sensitivity to be toggled in settings for power users.
    Log only the user’s decision (send/redact/cancel), not the raw snippet, unless the user opts to send it.

11. The ability to set a permanent but editable preamble that is always considered by Lumo+ at the start and during each chat.

    I have recently moved from ChatGBT over to Lumo+ and I noticed some differences. Lumo+ under it's current configuration isn't nearly as accurate as Chat. Yes, Chat can get you up the wrong tree at times, but not as much as Lumo. One thing that I think that helped with Chat is the the ability to create a general header for how I wanted Chat to operate which included instructions about accuracy, depth, reply style, and whether to resort to the web to get latest information about softwre updates on things like Home Assistant and Raspberry Pi. With Chat I could have a standing request to go deeper and consider more references before making an answer giving links to where it got it's information.
    I made the mistake of asking Lumo how to send feedback and it got it all wrong. I really don't want an AI that just makes things up.

12. Lumo Integration Part Two (Lumo Dedicated Encrypted Desktop Assistant, Legacy & New Applications Work Options)

    All code generation & storage is encrypted and wrapped by a YubiKey.

    Running code requires a second‑factor OTP/TOTP from the same YubiKey.

    If the device can’t handle the workload, LDA warns the user and offers a secure cloud‑inference fallback.

    The assistant stays offline except for signed updates or an explicit, user‑approved cloud request.

    Implement the modules, follow the testing plan, and you’ll have a privacy‑preserving, hardware‑rooted Lumo Desktop Assistant that can safely generate, store, and execute programs on demand.

14. Lumo create/work Integration into built-in or desktop known/widely used apps

    Lumo- Allow the command to generate in built-in known applications on windows/Linux such as photoshop, adobe, unity. Much like using chatgpt commanding it to create an image and it generates a image using adobe etc. Allow Lumo to do this, to Integrate and create/work things faster/get things done in encryption/anontymity without having to go to ChatGpt or using Windows Monitored/Data Collected Co-pilot A.I and etc.

    It would be great if the "Description" field in the Calendar entries would be rich text, like Google Calendar offers. That way, we can copy text and paste with formats like bold, underline, etc. etc.

17. Multiple Personalities - more control & community templates

    Currently, under the 'Personalization' you can create ONE personality per user. Depending on my task at hand I need more control over the expected output. As currently there is not really a good way to configure the expected outcome. (e.g. how 'creative' the model can be or how strict it needs to adhere to the input).

    This feature would also really benefit from (community) templates which must be editable for better control.

19. Improved visibility of the Internet search icon in Lumo

    I find the current icon for the integrated Internet search in Lumo difficult to distinguish, especially with dark themes or low screen brightness. I suggest introducing a clearer, higher-contrast icon that automatically adapts to the selected theme (light/dark).

    Possible implementation:
    A minimalist magnifying glass icon with a subtle frame that is highlighted in color when search is activated.

    Optional: A short tooltip display (“Start/stop search”) when pressed and held to support new users.

    A clear icon makes it easier to find and activate the search function, which increases the overall usability of Lumo.

    I want to be able to use Lumo using the latest Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version, so that I can continue to use Lumo on my company notebook that does not support other browser brands.

    Since yesterday (1 Nov 2025) I receive a message that says "Unsupported browser". There has been no communications to inform us that the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) version will no longer be supported. Our browser version is fully up-to-date, at the time of writing it is 115.29.0 Firefox ESR October 14, 2025 and no newer version of Firefox ESR has been released at this point.

    Therefore we urgently request this browser to be supported, in conformity with what has also been stated in the following page, where it is explicitly mentioned that Firefox is supported and even recommended:
