  1. 1 Day Alerts for Events

When entering an event we can choose: At the Time of Event, 10, 20, 30 minutes, 1 Hour, 1 Week or Custom. There isn't an option for "One Day", which is rather bizarre to my mind. Of course you can go into "Custom" every time you set up a new event but that is a royal pain in the ... er... neck! So much so I made the effort to come here! This a really simple upgrade Proton... pretty please!

  2. Can my calendar email reminders include the event name, time, location, and details?

Can my calendar email reminders include the event name, time, location, and details? This way I can check my event reminder in my proton email app, especially since there is no calendar app on iOS yet?
    Thank you

  3. Overwrite single event notifications by calendar default

If a calendar's default notification options are changed, an option shall exist to apply the new notification setting to the already created future events, being them one-off events or recurring events (aka series).

  4. Agenda view for widget

The calendar widget shows the current day only. I'm not such a busy person that I have multiple private appointments per day. What I would need is an agenda view, a list of either the next X events, or a list of all events in the next X days.

  5. Navigation option to specific years and months

Please ensure a field for entering specific dates/months/years to be searched for! This is a necessary option of a worthwhile Calendar. Have you tried looking at your 2010 calendar entries yet?

  6. Support for alternative calendars formats (Hijri, Jewish, Hindu, etc)

As the title mentions, it would be great to have support for alternative calendars. I frequently need to consider dates from the Hijri calendar (in addition to Gregorian), so it would be nice to be able to see dates from both Hijri and Gregorian at the same time.

  8. Customize Calendar Visibility Across Different Views

    Problem Statement:
In a multifunctional calendar app that fits multiple calendars, such as one for personal events, another for work, and yet another for university lectures, the user interface can become cluttered. This makes it challenging to quickly identify important or unusual events in the monthly view.

    Suggested Solution:
Selective Calendar Hiding: Allow users to toggle the visibility of specific calendars in different views (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) without the manual toggle. For example, I could choose to hide my 'University Lectures' calendar when in the 'Monthly' view to make it easier to spot unique or essential events.
    Custom Views:…

  9. Create a set of configured alerts

I would like to create a set of pre-configured alerts. For example:

    • Quick Reminder alert: 15 minutes before the event, push notification only.
    • Breakfast Reminder alert: 9am on the day of the event, push notification only.
    • Super important alert: 9am on the day before the event, both push and email notifications.

In this way, I can select an alert from my favourite set instead of manually inserting information every time.

Plus, I can modify an alert configuration, and it will relay changes to all the corresponding event.

  10. Automatically choose a day which is selected on the calendar app for a new event creation

Whenever creating new future events on a calendar, it would be great if a selected day was picked-up automatically for the new event. E.g., if I am browsing future dates on the calendar and I select a specific date on the calendar app (mobile or web) and click to add a new event, it automatically picks up a current day as the date for a new event. Then it needs to be adjusted manually to be able to create a future event. Not very convenient.

  11. Remember my notification choices

Most often I would like to be notified 2 hours before and 10 minutes before. At the moment I have to delete the "15 minutes before", then enter "10 minutes before" then enter "2 hours before", then delete "notify by email 15 minutes before". And I have to do it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Wouldn't it be nice if just the latest choice was left there by default?

Meaning if a created event with "10 minutes before" and "2 hours before", the next even I create has these already pre-populated?

Of course, there could be a separate menu item that turns…

  12. import events repeating in time

In order to be able to switch to Proton Calendar, I should be able to import events repeating in time, which I have already entered in Apple Calendar. Currently, these are ignored when importing.

  13. Duplicate events from external calendar into Proton calendar

Most of the time, I'm not interested in every single event from the calendar I imported into Proton. But it would be useful to be able to select a relevant event and add it to my own calendar

  14. calendar invite add picture to notes

I want to add a picture and/or document to a calendar invite e.g. a map snapshot of location with directions; or an attached .pdf to review during the meeting that needs to be read beforehand. Along with showing various time zones esp for international meetings, this is important for using with business meetings.

  15. Have the icon in iOS for iPhone show the current day and date of the month.

One thing that is nice about Apple's Calendar app for iPhone is that it displays the current DAY and DATE of the month. This is a nice feature as you can simply glance at the icon, without opening the app to know what the date is.

  16. Modifying event duration with drag and drop, improving gestures

    Hey there!

I'm using Proton Calendar now for several days and I enjoy it!

My experience would be perfect if it would be possible to change the duration of events with drag and drop.

I'm comparing the behaviour how Google Calendar implemented it. Changing durations there was much easier and intuitivly.

Speaking about Google Calendar: I also prefere the way how dragging and dropping events do a different time works there. In Proton Mail, a popup appears and the change has to be verified. On Google Calendar, the changes are applied after dropping the time slot with the option to…

  17. Zero knowledge proof android/iPhone app integration

Zero knowledge proof android/iPhone app integration is the idea. Many apps integrate with your default calendar. Not all deserve to know 'everything'.

Example: map app wants to remind you about an event and to set a route. It doesn't need anything else. Allow that app time/date and location, but only before the event through a notification, or pre-authorization.

This may require a false 'default' calendar of sorts, where you share those parts of events with it. Every app should see only what it needs though. (Multiple defaults? I'm not a dev unfortunately)

  18. Allow Deleting the Default "my Calendar" to allow for 3 shared calendars on the Free Tier

Feature Request: Allow deleting the default "My Calendar" to allow for
a free user to add 3 shared calendars. Currently you can only add 2, as the default "My calendar", will always take up one of the 3 slots. Obviously the free tier cannot share their own calendar and that is fine, but I have 3 calendars I would like to sync with my wife, and she can only add 2 due to this issue.

There is some discussion on the reddit forums for this topic:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/1322pi8/proton_calendar_settings_for_group_shared_calendar/

I need to be able to share 3 calendars with my wife which…

  19. Widget options to display event description or location.

Would be great if there was an option to show either event description or event location in the widget. Would require a slight widget layout change to accommodate.

For example the time could be moved to be on the left side underneath the date, and then the description or location could be shown where time is currently displayed.

If the description/location is too long, you would only display a part of it so that 1 event doesn't take up the entire widget.

  20. Default description and location automatically populated in a calendar

A default calendar description and location would be great. I send a lot of calendar invitations to people using the exact same description and Zoom link information. It would save a lot of time to have one of my calendars fill all that information in by default instead of having to copy/paste that info each time I create an event in that calendar.

For instance, one calendar is a "teaching" calendar. Any event created in that calendar could have the description and location field pre-populated with the desired information.
