Compatibility of Proton applications with OrBot (Tor)
It is possible to implement a compatibility feature for ALL Proton applications so that you can connect Proton VPN with a login server in any country, Proton Mail application can work via tor. For example, F-Droid application can connect both directly to its servers and through Tor network using OrBot application installed on smartphone.

Add UserVoice link in all GitHub repositories for easy finding
Just a minor improvement by adding the UserVoice.com URL to the description of repos in GitHub along with an appropriate message to lead users to this platform. Some users will find the Proton GitHub, but not know about the UserVoice, and end up adding email support requests instead, particularly since "Issues" GitHub page isn't public or doesn't exist. This is an easy semi-fix for support requests overload.

realise Proton isn't an "island"
Right now, Proton has good-enough email and calendar tools, but assumes everyone lives in an isolated world.
How many of us have existing Exchange/O365, GSuite etc and need to be able to see things like all our calendars as a single view of the day.
Right now I can't switch to Proton Calendar because I can't see what's in my work calendar alongside my family calendar, and I need to deal with two mail clients etc.
Even having someone send me a Google or Outlook calendar invite doesn't work particularly well, - in the Android app, I can see the…5 votes -

One or two Extra features in Proton Mail, Pass and VPN for Victims of Hacked Accounts
One or two Extra features in Mail, Pass and VPN for Victims of Ransomware and Hacked Accounts. Just until their banking accounts clear.
As someone who just suffered a severe ransomware attack, I am grateful to have had Proton's free plans, since my accounts are frozen. It's difficult to start all over, buying new networking equipment, changing ISP's, no e-mail accounts nor telephone numbers.
Starting from scratch...
Your services helped me and my family with some sense of privacy.

Local writing assistant option to use local Ollama server, when available
The built in writing assistant (offline version) is a little … stupid … to say the least. It seems to completely disregard the input language as well, opting to rewrite the entire thing in English.
I wanted to propose that you leave the feature set as is for people who aren't setup with alternatives, but add another option so that we can use our own Ollama server within our network, if available.
I run a variety of llama models locally anyways, so might as well use that (and the http API it provides), opposed to having yet another assistant bundled…

Work a little closer with /e Foundation
Encourage cooperation to build a new consumer mind set. I have app lounge and while we all know the android platform still has remains of google they have been shimmed hampered and sanitised. They are using Cromite Browser and I don't think I can set up Proton Pass on it. And likewise also please follow your creed and support more Linux disros OpenSuse for one the GUI that is I'm already using the Command line and network manager. Appreciate the E.U for moving forward unlike the US. Educate american consumers with effort and ethics. Data privacy is a right

An app to detect spam calls
I'm sick of getting spam calls and I don't trust apps like TrueCaller or similar to detect and filter such calls. It would be great to have a Proton app to handle this problem.

Local Storage for Proton Drive
Instead of having only 5GB of cloud storage, Make a feature where you can use a local drive. For example, Nextcloud and 1 more service have the ability to turn a NAS or a USB in your computer into your own cloud.

Moving the Web Hosting for Proton Services to Blockchain. Internet Computer Protocol to be specific.
Moving the Web Hosting for Proton Services to Blockchain. Internet Computer Protocol(ICP) to be exact.
Immune to Cyber Attacks and Resilient. Shouldn’t be expensive given the cost savings on Cyber Security.
Cost Savings: ICP eliminates the need for traditional hosting services like AWS, reducing recurring costs for storage, bandwidth, and compute.
Privacy and Security: ICP’s decentralized blockchain ensures end-to-end encryption, tamper-proof data, and stronger protections for user information—perfect for Proton’s privacy-first mission.
Performance and Scalability: ICP’s global node infrastructure delivers fast, scalable hosting with minimal latency, ideal for high-traffic services like ProtonMail or ProtonVPN.
Web3-Ready: ICP enables seamless integration with…

Option to restricting servers in specific regions
A simple way to mark specific servers as "Do-not-connect" to avoid unintentional data breaches due to a lack of local internet policy in the region where the server is located.

Pair up with a phone manufacturer to provide email and cloud storage services as an alternative to Google's services.
Samsung seems to be straying away from Google's services as Google starts to compete on their territory.
Samsung currently offers a mail app, as well as a notes app and a very poorly developed Cloud App.
It would be amazing to see Proton Products offered as default services on Samsung products! Think of the marketing advantage that would give Samsung: encrypted communication services via Proton! Google and Apple offer nothing like it.

Integrate a Notes app into the Photon Email client
I've been using a notes app for a very long time. Its one of the primary functions of all of my devices.
I started using Keep back before Google bought them. It was a great little app with the potential to be so much more....but Google lost interest in developing it.
A couple years ago, I decided I rely too heavily on Google products and that I would try to de-google. Replacing Google Keep was a primary concern.
I tried a few different apps that were in various states of development. What surprised me was that the interfaces looked ALOT…

Proton to stop promoting on Twitter/X
I'm asking Proton as a company to stop promoting giveaways and other promotional events on Twitter/X, as it is a cesspool of alt-right and neo-nazi propaganda and is owned and run by a psychopath. Encouraging people to use that platform is harmful to everyone. Please stop.
