  1. Integration support for funny emoji stickers for imessage in mobile app

It would be a great feature if Proton Mail for iOS supported a dedicated picker for funny emoji stickers for imessage. Adding more visual flair to secure emails would improve the user experience significantly. I’ve been working on a collection of these assets which you can see here for reference: http://funnystickersforimessage.com/

  2. Phone Generated One-Time Codes Instead of Passwords

Instead of password-protected, when sending an encrypted email or a drive folder, add the recipient's phone number so they receive a one-time access code.

Currently, using passwords to read encrypted emails or drive links requires sharing the password somehow. Such as sharing it in an email body or via a one-time link from Proton Pass. It'd be great to have an access process that the recipient can complete on their own without having to create new passwords.

One of the reasons to use Proton is to share sensitive data that isn't frequently moved. A belt and suspenders system in which…

  3. Native Proton apps for HarmonyOS NEXT

Please develop native HarmonyOS NEXT apps (HAP/ArkUI) for Proton Mail, Calendar, Drive, Pass, and VPN etc... Android APKs do not really work on NEXT.

The OS has tens of millions of devices. Thank you!

  4. Proton Pass - Sort logins alphabetically

In Proton Pass, my logins are sorted by most recently used. I'd like to sort them alphabetically. Even better if I can have groups. (For example, I have multiple passwords associated with certain companies or websites).

  5. UX Design Critique: Proton App Icon System

UX Design Critique: Proton App Icon System

    Overall assessment

This icon set fails the core job of an app launcher: enabling fast, pre-attentive recognition. A user opening this switcher cannot identify apps without reading labels. That's a fundamental usability failure, not a stylistic preference.

    1. Color hierarchy is broken
Eight of ten icons sit in the same purple-blue-pink gradient family. Color is the fastest channel in visual perception — processed pre-attentively in roughly 200ms, before shape recognition kicks in. By collapsing eight apps into one hue family, Proton has eliminated its strongest recognition signal.
The two exceptions (Docs blue, Sheets green)…

  6. Subject: Trust is Broken: Ignoring Customers Who Ask for Honesty

    Hi Proton Team,

I am writing this as a paying customer (Unlimited + Lumo+) who believes in the mission of Proton. But right now, that belief is being tested by a pattern of behavior that is deeply damaging to the one thing Proton claims to value most: Trust.

The Pattern of Dismissal Every time a customer asks a simple, honest question—"Where is the server-side open source code?" or "Why doesn't the personalization feature work?"—they are met with silence, deflection, or the implication that they are the ones who misunderstood.

Customers are treated as if it is their fault for believing:

  7. Subject: "No Warranty" and "Not Responsible for Accuracy" — The Loophole That Voids Every Promise

    Hi Proton Team,

There is a section in Proton's agreements that most users will never read, but it fundamentally undermines everything they were sold on:

"No warranty." "Not responsible for accuracy."

These clauses mean that every promise Proton makes — about protecting your data, about encryption, about open source, about features working — comes with a legal escape hatch. If something goes wrong, if a feature doesn't work, if accuracy fails, the company has already protected itself. The user has no recourse.

The Playbook This isn't unique to Proton. It's standard corporate practice. But Proton isn't supposed to be standard.…

  8. Proton Sheets: Allow selecting which column is used as sorting key

When you select a range in Proton Sheets, and go "sort A->Z", it always sorts based on leftmost column in the selected range. But sometimes the column I want to use as my "A->Z", and have the rest of the selected range sorted by, is not, in fact, the leftmost column. Please add a functionality to choose the column to act as a sort key.

  9. Markdown Editor in Proton Mail

In addition to the WYSIWYG and plain text editor, add a Markdown text editor to Proton Mail. The markdown is then converted the moment the email is being sent.

The main reason I asked for this are code blocks. Also, I would like to be able to define another formatting for text between backticks to make it more obvious than just monospace text.

  10. E-mail drag and drop folder expansion

When dragging the e-mail to a nested folder when its parent is collapsed, we need to expand that folder first, then drag. It would be great if the folder would automatically expand while holding the e-mail and hovering above it for 250-500ms.

  11. Create a filter option in the sender pop-up menu

Add an option to the pop-up menu when clicking on the sender's e-mail address in the e-mail panel.

    Currently we have:

    New Message
    Create new contact
    Messages from this sender
    Block messages from this sender

Simple QoL feature that would help with filter creation tremendously.

  12. Proposal: "Proton Media" – A Fair, Neutral, & High-Fidelity Video Platform (With Risk Mitigation)

    To the Proton Team,

I am writing to propose a new initiative: Proton Media, a video platform designed to replace the "attention economy" model with a "fairness and quality" model. This is not just a feature request; it is a strategic roadmap to extend Proton's mission of privacy and freedom into the video sector.

    🎯 The Vision
    Imagine a platform where:

Creators are paid directly by fans (subscription/donation), eliminating the need for invasive ads and clickbait.
Viewers have access to true quality: 1080p/60fps for free, and 4K/60fps with Lossless Audio (FLAC, WAV, Dolby Atmos) for premium users.
    Moderation is human-led…

  13. Rearrange the icons in web app menu

Currently, in the app menu on any web Proton interface (where you can access Mail, Drive, etc), there are 4 lines with 3 icons per line. It was fine when there were only 4 or 5 Proton apps, but now it takes unnecessary vertical space and I think it's about time we made it horizontally larger. Even 4 per line would be better, like:

    Mail Calendar Meet Lumo (general)
    Drive Docs Sheets Wallet (storage-related)
    Pass VPN (privacy-related)

On the other hand, it's just my opinion; if most of you prefer it vertically long rather than horizontally, then that's fine too.

  15. Make sure all products are listed in the "Give feedback" box on the User Voice start page

Make sure that the User Voice and Support/Help/Feedback dialogues are consistent. When a new product is launched the entire process from idea > online help > support should be updated.

Option missing. Proton Docs is also missing.

Remember that refining existing products is just as important as creating new features :)

  18. permanent mail logs

Permanent mail/activity log option for all Proton mail users, such as the ones Microsoft Exchange users have with their accounts. Aside from checking the Trash there's no way of telling if a mail item was received, deleted and then purged.

  20. Title: Upgrade E2EE to Quantum-Safe Encryption Across All Proton Products – By End of 2026

It's already May 2026, and 2027 is just 7 months away. The quantum computing threat is no longer a future concern — it's becoming a present reality. Current E2EE, while strong today, will not hold up against quantum attacks.
Proton has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to privacy. Upgrading to Quantum-Safe Encryption (Post-Quantum Cryptography) across all Proton products — Mail, Drive, Calendar, VPN, and Pass — before the end of 2026 would be a massive step forward.
NIST has already finalized post-quantum encryption standards. There's no reason to wait. If Proton acts now, it becomes the…
