1. Proton Spreadsheets: Enhanced Printing Options

   Thank you for Proton Spreadsheets. It would be most helpful to be able to "set print area." Currently, only the portion of a spreadsheet that is visible on the screen is printable. 4. Support all 2FA algorithms/protocols: Yandex, Steam, mOTP...

   Now that you have a desktop client instead of just mobile, this is really the only thing keeping me from converting to Proton Authenticator. Several of your "competitors" (CloudOTP, Aegis, statrumauth/authenticatorpro...) already support Yandex, Steam, mOTP, etc.. so no reverse engineering and there shouldn't be any difficulty implementing it.

6. list of deleted aliases

   I created an alias using SimpleLogin domain, used it for a while then deleted it.
   This was more than 30 days.

   Several months later I gave out that address to a shop because I did not remember I had ever used and deleted it.

   The shop said they sent emails to me which of course I never received because that address is permanently deleted.

   SimpleLogin blocks emails to an alias address we have deleted:
   that means they must have a list of addresses we have deleted.

   Why can we not see that list so we will not hand out those addresses in future?

   (yes, in future I will disable instead of delete but that is no help in the meantime)

7. Critical improvements to Sheets needed

   A list of critical improvements for sheets in order for me to want to keep using it.

   -When making a cell in one tab refer to a cell in another tab, I want there to be a possibility to make the reference go both ways. So if I make a change to cell A1 in Tab I, it automatically changes the information in corresponding cell in Tab II and vise versa.

   • The option mentioned above but between two files, not just tabs. As has been mentioned many times before in this community

   -The ability to permanently link two cells. So if cell A1 contains a name and cell B1 contains a phone number, they should be linked permanently, until I unlink. The information cannot accidentally get mixed by a silly human error.

   -The ability to change the formatting of a cell to 'text only' in order to not constantly have to deal with jumping and changing numbers etc.

   -The formatting of a grid should be able to automatically apply when I insert a new row. Currently I made a grid with a chessboard-like color formatting to improve readability. Whenever I add a row or column, I have to manually shift all of the formatting of the entire grid.

   -supplementing the previous point: I want to be able to copy/paste the data of a cell WITHOUT the formatting. But also be able to copy/paste the formatting of a cell WITHOUT the data. I keep having to copy and past "in the right order" or everything will turn into a massive mess.

   For now I will keep using sheets because I am stubborn and commited to Proton - I decided to pay for my subscription and want to make it work.
   But simultaneously I am on the brink of switching to any functional alternative at this point.
   Sheets is making some simple tasks more complicated and time consuming rather than easier, at this point. Which goes in against the whole goal of launching such a function in the first place.

   Improving the functionality of this program should be relatively easy for people with the right skill sets (which I am certain you have working for you, Proton), please make these basic functionalities a priority for your userbase!

   A list of critical improvements for sheets in order for me to want to keep using it.

8. Allow aliases to be used on reply to and forward mails

   I recently received a reply to a message I sent using an alias address. When I tried to reply to and forward that message, I could not do so using the alias address. I could only use my primary or secondary address. Neither of which I want the recipients to see. I want them to see the alias address only. You need to add this feature because the current alias address feature is only half useful the way it is.

9. Why I no longer recommend the Proton Ecosystem

   I've been a Proton Unlimited subscriber for about 10 years. My reasons for subscribing were:

   Privacy
   
   De-Google
   
   Save money by eliminating other services I paid for (VPN) by using the Proton Unlimited VPN.
   

   BENEFITS / DRAWBACKS

   PRIVACY- my privacy is arguably improved; however, the fact that those who I send emails to are not in the Proton ecosystem minimizes the privacy benefits.
   
   DE-GOOGLE - this is probably the most important benefit to moving to Proton; however, this benefit is minimized by the fact that Proton Drive is literally a mess! - I can't get Drive to sync unless I logon to my Admin Windows account, which I rarely do. The computer & file structure is screwed up, at least in my case because of issues of not syncing. I've worked with 'Support' multiple times to resolve these issues to no avail!
   
   PASS- I moved from Roboform which I used for several years & was very happy with. Again this move was to consolidate and save money since Proton Unlimited included Pass.
   

   Let me tell you RoboForm just worked and was head & shoulders above what Pass is. Yes, the UI wasn't as polished as some password managers, but it worked. An example of how it is better than Proton Pass - in RoboForm - I opened the FIreFox extension, clicked on an entry, let's say Amazon - it opened a browser tab to Amazon, entered the user name and password, and automatically clicked whatever button to login.

   ONE CLICK TO LOGIN TO A WEBSITE - ONE. CLICK. I asked Proton 'Support" why Proton didn't do that - I got some ******** excuse.

   1. VPN - I had used Nord VPN - it just worked. The minor issue I had was resolved by good customer service. Nord VPN was installed on my DD-WRT router. Again I moved over to Proton VPN to consolidate and save money.

   I had problems installing Proton VPN on my router. The instructions from Proton were/are confusing. I had to reset my router and install Proton VPN multiple times. It sort of works now, but I have issues with the 2.4 & 5ghz networks. Again Proton 'support' is lacking in this area - their website instructions and email support.

   1. DRIVE / PHOTOS- as I noted above Drive / Photos is nearly unusable. Sure it sort of backs up files & photos which is important but that's where the benefit ends. If it intended to replace/replicate Google Drive & Photos it has embarrassingly failed.

   2. OFFICE / AI / ZOOM REPLACEMENT - why? just WHY?????????

   When your current / base projects are lacking or problematic why, as a business, would you continue to create, pump out, SPEW more sub-standard offerings?

   CONCLUSION

   I provide computer training to mostly elderly / seniors - I have changed the recommendations I make for products & services.

   I want to be able to love Proton.

   I want to be able to recommend Proton.

   I don't and I can't!

   As many many others have said on various Reddit and other forums - PROTON SHOULD NOT HAVE ROLLED OUT ADDITIONAL SUBSTANDARD FEATURES WHEN THEIR CORE FEATURES WHERE NOT COMPLETED. Sure expanded offerings garners more new users but the support spirals down hill as they attempt to resolve issues with more applications. The end result is something of a PYRAMID SCHEME - keep promising new, more, better to get more subscribers/participants. This cannot sustain itself and will ultimately fail.

   WHAT NEXT

   So where does this leave me and those within the Proton ecosystem? I guess I'll have to look at alternatives and into DE-PROTONing. It will cost me more money, more time, de-centralized apps and functions.

   It's sad really.

   I've been a Proton Unlimited subscriber for about 10 years. My reasons for subscribing were:

   Privacy
   
   De-Google

    In our company, we would need to deactivate accounts when team members leave instead of deleting them altogether, in particular to allow us to have access to logs after their departure.

    Hi! I like my email inbox to appear with the oldest message at the top and the newest message at the bottom. I can select this behavior manually, but as soon as I open another folder and navigate back to the inbox, the default of "newest first" has been re-applied, and I need to manually switch it back to "oldest first" again. This gets old very quickly, and I wish there were a way to set a persistent default sort order for the inbox so that I would not keep needing to do it manually every time I navigate there. 18. Two-way proton calendar sync like google calendar to get rid of it

    I would like to raise an important feature request regarding Proton Calendar, which would allow me to leave the Google ecosystem entirely.

    Context: I have already migrated my email and most of my usage to Proton, yet I still keep a Gmail account solely to maintain my Google Calendar. This forces me to keep a live Google account, which goes against my privacy goals.

    What I need to close my Gmail account:

    1. True two-way synchronization with external calendars (especially Google Calendar). Currently, subscribing to an external calendar seems read-only. I need the ability to edit imported events and have those changes reflected back to the source calendar — full bidirectional sync.

    2. An open protocol or API (e.g., CalDAV) so third-party applications can read from and write to Proton Calendar. I want my other apps (booking tools, productivity apps, third-party clients) to fetch data from my Proton Calendar and also insert events into it. Without interoperability, Proton Calendar remains locked inside the Proton ecosystem, whereas a calendar's core value lies in interfacing with the rest of my tools.

    3. A complete and straightforward migration path from Google Calendar: events, shared calendars, reminders, and attachments.

    I am confident many users share this situation: we want to cut ties with Google entirely, but the calendar is the last lock holding us in. Robust two-way sync plus CalDAV/API access would be decisive — making Proton a full replacement for Google, not a partial one.

    I would like to raise an important feature request regarding Proton Calendar, which would allow me to leave the Google ecosystem entirely.

    Currently, you can star important emails, but that only highlights it as you scroll through your inbox. I'd like the ability to pin it so something stays at the top as a reminder to either respond or check on this process, etc.

    Warum ist es im Zeitalter der KI immer noch nicht möglich im Interface von Protonmail die Ordner in der Position zu verschieben. Dies muss man immer noch sehr umständlich über die Einstellungen machen. Die KI kann dies in 15 Sekunden programmieren.
