   It would be so helpful to have a Tabs feature inside Proton Docs, similar to the Tabs in Google Docs. This is especially helpful for design and management of long term projects.

3. Allow user to directly login to uservoice with their proton account

   It felt a little silly that I was offered options to login immediately with Facebook or Gmail, but not with Proton account. Uservoice should feel like it belongs to the same service ecosystem.

4. Evaluate closely the risks to Proton and users even in Switzerland.

   Somewhat different from most topics here: I want to suggest a bit of caution with the frequent use of "Swiss - based" and the like as a sort of guarantor of privacy; elsewhere on Proton's website (the business part iirc) it even states it is thus beyond the surveillance powers of the U.S. and co. This is simply not true. Indeed, Switzerland IS MUCH BETTER about privacy and laws than the U.S., however like ALL states, they are composed of the weakest links in security: humans.

   I am not suggesting Proton move out of Switzerland at all. But, the state there is not impervious to external pressure and I hope Proton has contingency plans if their facilities or personnel are meddled with. Regarding the limits of even Switzerland's legendary privacy and neutrality: case in point is the police detention and interrogation of the Director of a small pro-Palestine media outlet called Electronic Intifada in Switzerland for unclear reasons while travelling from the U.S. [fwiw y'all, intifada means "shrugging off"; the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising is actually translated sometimes as an intifada, and apartheid Israel is possibly threat #1 to digital security around the world, with its malware cottage industry and even now AI enabled weaponry and surveillance all over]. It can happen here. Trust me, I have seen the effects of state terror here at home, in Atlanta, a veritable hive of surveillance cameras and police misconduct.

   Other staff of EI were also viciously targeted by the UK and raided and had devices seized for the "crime" of telling the truth about atrocities aided by Western tax dollars and political cover in Gaza and the Occupied Territories. The long arm of the American state and other like-minded miscreants especially know no borders, we all know this since GWOT kicked off at least. Laws don't apply evenly to all.

   Anyway, Director Ali was held for about a day by the Swiss cops iirc; even in Switzerland you must observe tight opsec if you are a journalist, dissident, or generally someone not liked by the powers that be in the West (obv including the U.S. who are hardly shy about their 'ironclad' commitment to authoritarian regimes like murderous one Ali's outlet speaks out against).
   Furthermore, an Atlanta-area activist was very recently arrested for allegedly using a panic wipe /lock app on his phone, despite not even being under any kind of preserve-evidence court order at the time, and has been denied access to proper legal recourse and has been shuffled around by federal agents apparently terrified of a musician and community gardener (who I assume is sympathetic to the anti-Cop City movement -- vs the appalling, likely GILEE/IDF-linked urban warfare academy the city spent over $100 million building and for which they pulled out all the stops, called in ludicrous lawfare resources against dissent and a referendum...along with literally murdering a person...all to train the next gen of protest-repression goons with bipartisan support and in violation of local laws and popular will). The state spies on everyone even vaguely involved with protests, and this behavior is not unique to Atlanta or even the USA.

   Digital security is of paramount importance for me and fellow activists, and the sorts of people who want to strip away all privacy and dissent are working hard every day to make that a reality (like Flock and Peter Thiel et al). I implore Proton to not lose the plot like Silicon Valley has.

   I submit this as a humble reminder to Proton and all users to remember that no security is 100%, and to have a backup plan, even in safe havens like Switzerland. I don't know what that might look like for Proton, if say, their servers were raided on behalf of some spy agency or whatever, but it is increasingly important to plan to counter potential risks as tyrants criminalize free thought and expression around the globe. I myself am in the process of de-Googling my life and trying to push back against the Amazon cop-connected wiretaps (aka Ring and Alexa) used so casually by friends and family. Privacy is precious, let's prepare to protect it as times get tougher.

5. Short link for creating new documents, emails, events, etc.

   Excerpt from get.new: .new is a domain extension exclusively for performing new actions online: any act that leads to creation can have a quick and memorable new shortcut associated with it. Help your customers take action faster. Less time clicking means more time creating.

   It would be extremely convenient to use proton.new for creating things in Proton. Everything I can think of:
   proton.new/doc - New document
   proton.new/sheet - New sheet
   proton.new/mail & proton.new/email - New email
   proton.new/event - New calendar event
   proton.new/meeting - New meeting

   I think the plural forms of the words should work, too: doc & docs, event & events, etc. You could also use the subdomain for this: docs.proton.new, mail.proton.new, etc.

   proton.new by itself or with an invalid path (proton.new/whatever) should lead to a dashboard where you can quickly select whether you are creating a new email, document, etc.

6. Multiple dates in contacts

   At the moment you can only at one date (e.g. birthday) to a contact. I would like to be able to add multiple dates to a contact. For instance anniversaries, d.o.b's, etc...

9. Add better filter/sort for Inbox in Proton Mail

   While filters allow you to set up rules for moving emails to other folders, I find when I do that I often miss important emails because I watch my inbox but don't have time to regularly go through every folder. When it's time to clean out my inbox (currently have 357 unread messages), it's nice to go through them by sender. I can sort by the size of the email or the receipt date, but not by sender. I can type in a filter at the top, but I have to remember to check "Inbox" or it shows me everything. I'm not particular about the mechanism, but a few options would be: sorting by sender; having saved searches I can flip between; or making Inbox the default on searches, whether globally or through an option I can change. The saved search filters would be particularly nice, but just adding a sort option for Sender, and maybe Subject, would be nice.

    As the number of Proton services and platforms increases, protonapps.com becomes more difficult to navigate. It’d be useful to have some filtering and sorting options for protonapps.com to quickly find the right app for the desired platform. For example:

    Platform Filter: Android (APK, F-Droid, Play Store, etc), iOS/iPadOS, Linux, macOS, Onion/Tor, Web, Windows

    App Filter: Authenticator, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Lumo, Mail, Meet, Pass, VPN, Wallet, etc

    Version Filter: Production, Beta

    Sort By: App Name, Platform, Recently Updated

11. Let users choose which emails trigger notifications (by sender, recipient/alias , label, or folder)

    User story:

    As a Proton Mail user, I want to CONTROL WHICH EMAILS TRIGGER PUSH NOTIFICATIONS so that I’m only alerted about messages that require my immediate attention.

    I want to enable notifications only for certain senders, recipients/aliases, labels, or folders, so I don’t get distracted by unimportant emails.

    I also want the option to REVERSE this logic—receiving notifications only for emails that aren’t labelled or sorted, such as personal or unexpected messages.

    Ultimately, a filter system for notifications, giving users the same flexibility they already have for organising their inboxes.

    This would make notifications more relevant, REDUCE NOISE, and ensure users never miss important messages.

    Platforms:

    High prio: iOS, Android.

    Low prio: web, desktop.

12. Add support for LaTeX documents

    Maybe the number of people who would use this feature is no enormous, but I still think there is a gap in the market that Proton could fill. Importantly, the people who would use this feature is willing to pay.

    There is essentially one popular option in the market which is Overleaf, which requires a paid subscription to share a document with more than 2 people, and it is amazingly expensive (€19 monthly). Yet many people pay for it (research funds, it is the university who actually pays).

    Probably this is not immediate to build, but maybe in the future...

14. Allow importing multiple events into Proton Calendar from .ics attachments in Proton Mail

    Currently, if we have an .ics attachment with a single event in a Proton mail email, we are able to import that into Proton Calendar.
    However, .ics attachments that contain multiple events are not yet supported, and show this message: "This ICS file contains more than one event. Please download it and import the events in Proton Calendar". This introduces a fair amount of friction.

    I get these quite a lot as I often book train journeys where both the outbound and return journeys are sent to me as two calendar events within one ICS attachment.

    Please change the Proton Mail ICS importer to add support for ICS files with multiple events. Thank you.

17. Instant communications

    I absolutely love my proton business account. However, I would like an instant communication app with two features. One a messenger and a walkie talkie type feature such as zello. It would be great have such features to communicate with a team in real time and potential clients.

18. Allow Admin access to be granted to second user on Proton Duo or Family plan

    I've looked around online and I see that it is possible to have multiple Admin accounts for accounts using the Proton business plans. However, I wasn't able to find this same option when I go to "Manage Family Group or "Users and Addresses" in my settings.

    I would really appreciate the ability to grant Admin access for my partner so that they can add email addresses or change account settings without my permission.

19. Email notifications for specific senders

    I like receiving notifications on my phone for new emails but wish I could select WHICH senders activate notifications, leaving them off for everyone else. That is very important to me so I don't miss client e-mails.

20. Proton Pass: Bad credentials autofill

    Proton Pass often fails to present relevant login entry results when selecting credentials to populate individual login form fields.

    Specifically, Proton Pass search results fails to include entries that were accessed moments ago.

    For example, the current browser page should automatically trigger corresponding login entries for that domain. But they often don't. So you have to manually search for the right login entry. This happens with mobile browsers.

    For example, you can select a login item for the username field. But then the login entry fails to appear in the recent list when populating the password field.

    There's a very awkward interaction between mobile keyboard accessories and credential autofill. On iPadOS, an official Apple mobile physical keyboard causes the autofill UI to be hidden. So the much worse long press Autofill UI workflow is often needed instead. Or to physically disconnect the keyboard every single time I autofill and login to any services. Never have those problems with iPhone. Any vendor bugs (Apple, Chromium, etc.) should be resolved by double checking API documentation and coordinating with upstream engineers.

    Finally, recently accessed entries that do appear, show up at the very bottom of the recent result list, rather than the top.
