2. A built in document scanner in Proton Drive

   Try to scan a document to store in a safe place like Proton Drive. It's a huge vunerability in privacy by using a scanning app. What is the point of storing data safe when the data is already given elsewhere by a scanner app who needs I don't know how many permissions plus send data to unknown vendors.
   Inwould love to see a scanning tool built into Proton Drive.

3. Global Option to Disable All "AI" Features

   I would like an account-wide single toggle to disable "AI" features everywhere. I know they're not going to go away, but I never want to use them, and do not want them anywhere near my data. Rather than needing to be constantly on the lookout for when related 'features' are added and needing to continually check to see if there's something I need to turn off, I just want a single setting where I can turn it off and know that no new or existing "AI" features will be turned on without action from me first.

   I really don't care if things are processed locally, and data is encrypted. I want the option to just decline the use of any of this.

   I would like an account-wide single toggle to disable "AI" features everywhere. I know they're not going to go away, but I never want to use them, and do not want them anywhere near my data. 5. Migrate to quantum resistant algorithms

8. Introduction of a Proton Notes app as a secure alternative to Google Notes

   Description:
   A native note-taking app from Proton would add an important everyday tool to the portfolio while extending Proton's high privacy standards to note management. The app should offer the following core features:

   Extensive functionality – text notes, checklists, image and file attachments, formatting (bold, italics, bullet points) – in other words, the same level of performance as Google Notes.

   Intuitive user interface – quick creation, editing, and organization of notes via swipe gestures, drag-and-drop, and context-sensitive menus.
   Integration of “share” services – Users should be able to transfer content from other apps (e.g., Spotify, YouTube, podcasts) directly into a note using the “share” function.
   Example: While listening to an audiobook, the current song/track can be saved in Proton Notes using Spotify's share option. The note automatically displays the album cover as a thumbnail so that you can quickly find the right place later.
   End-to-end encryption – All notes are encrypted locally and backed up in Proton Cloud (Drive) so that only the users themselves have access.

   Cross-platform synchronization – Available on iOS, Android, and in the web client, so notes are accessible everywhere.

   Benefits:

   Privacy: No sharing of personal notes with third parties.
   Productivity: Seamless integration of media and contextual information (e.g., album covers, podcast titles) directly into the note.
   Consistency: Complements the existing Proton ecosystem (Mail, Calendar, Drive, VPN, Pass, etc.) and strengthens brand loyalty.

   Such a Proton Notes app would offer users who already trust Proton services a secure and functional alternative to Google Notes.

9. Official Flatpak support on Linux

   Flatpak is a modern packaging format for Linux distributions, with the advantages of:
   - working consistently across a wide array of distributions (thus making it much easier for developers to support any Linux distro)
   - relative independence from the underlying system, making it the only distribution channel for immutable distros like Fedora Silverblue and Steam OS
   - higher security due to its sandboxing

   As such, it'd be great if it was officially supported by Proton for all its native applications.

   It's true that the sandbox could potentially pose some limits to the app that might not be solvable via portals yet, but fortunately, portals can be proposed by the community — so Proton could actively help move the Flatpak ecosystem forward!

   Proton's been able to support a range of other operating systems that also sandbox apps in one way or another, so it should be able to support sandboxed Flatpaks on Linux too.

    How would you feel about hosting domains so we can have our company emails encrypted? It would save set up fees and obviously we'd just point our mail records at your servers.....

11. Proton Tasks

    A new product within ProtonMail and ProtonCalendar, similar to Microsoft To-Do and Google Keep

    • Task list in the ProtonMail side panel:
      It would be useful to include, alongside the existing icons (Contacts, Proton Calendar, Referral, VPN, and Security Center), a dedicated “Tasks” icon. This Tasks section could be created either in Proton Calendar or Proton Mail. It would not be mandatory to assign a date to a task; however, if a date is defined, it could be automatically displayed in Proton Calendar.
      Additionally, it would be interesting to allow linking related emails to a task (both received and sent), making it easier to maintain context and track activities.

    • “Tasks” tab in Proton Calendar:
      In addition to the existing views (Agenda, Day, 3 Days, Week, and Month), I suggest adding a “Tasks” tab. This tab would list all created tasks, regardless of whether they are scheduled or not, making it easier and more centralized to track pending items.

    A web and mobile maps-like application based on the free OpenStreetMap data. The app allows to privately search for locations, save favorite locations, get directions, and possibly share the users' location for a limited time with other Proton users. Moreover, users can create custom maps with custom paths or GPS points.

13. Proton RSS Reader

    It would be great if Proton (or really anyone) implemented a competitor to cloud based feed readers like Inoreader and Feedly that used encryption to synchronize the read/unread state and collection of feeds.

    I use Inoreader and I love Inoreader, but I would prefer if I could get a client side RSS reader with an end-to-end encrypted synchronization mechanism.

14. Location sharing with family, friends, groups

    Google maps and Apply Find My allow sharing my location with family for friends. I like feature but not the tracking by big tech.

    Being able to privately share my location similar to Apple Find My will help include my partner, children, friends.

    This is helpful for emergency situations or to coordinate activities. Also consider an optional, temporary geofence to let us know when someone has arrived or departed near us.

    I would love to see a new service called Proton Hub.
    The idea is to have one central place where users can manage everything related to their Proton account, subscriptions, payment methods, organizations, and family groups.

    With Proton Hub, you could:

    • Manage all your subscriptions in one place.

    • Handle payment methods and billing details easily.

    • Configure account security, including 2FA, recovery options, and passwords.

    • Oversee and manage your family group or organization (members, roles, permissions).

    • See how much storage you are using across all Proton services and break it down per app – similar to how Google One does it.

    Essentially, Proton Hub would serve as the control center for your entire Proton ecosystem, making it easier and more transparent to manage accounts, security, and resources in one unified dashboard or app.

17. Approve login request on mobile to log in (passwordless login)

    Currently when I login on my Desktop through a webbrowser on a Proton web service I need to fill-in my MFA code, instead off filling in a MFA code I wou like the possibility to get a pop-up on my Phone and approve it with bio metric validation.
