Consider using Obtanium to support GrapheneOS and other Android derivatives
Consider using Obtanium to support GrapheneOS and other Android derivatives for the distribution of Android Apps.
I am a privacy focused Proton customer and I have recently switched to GrapheneOS. Obtanium is a small Android App that helps to track app updates across the web; ao. directly from Github. Please consider a rebranded Proton version of Obtanium, or some other affiliation. The payoff is twofold:
- As a Proton user I can install Android apps directly and track updates. Both good things.
- Affiliation would mean that a non Google Playstore gets some security backing. This would be great to…7 votes -
[Proton Meet] Customizable Branding (Colors & Logo)
It would be great to support custom corporate identity (CI) branding for Proton Meet, including:
- Custom colors
- Custom logo
This is important for professional and business use, improves brand consistency, and increases trust with external participants. Custom branding would significantly improve Proton Meet’s adoption in client-facing and enterprise environments.

Add all your software to Accrescent from GrapheneOS.
Your software is available on Play Market and Apple Store, but there are no applications on the Accrescent store from GrapheneOS.

Add filtering and sorting options to protonapps.com
As the number of Proton services and platforms increases, protonapps.com becomes more difficult to navigate. It’d be useful to have some filtering and sorting options for protonapps.com to quickly find the right app for the desired platform. For example:
Platform Filter: Android (APK, F-Droid, Play Store, etc), iOS/iPadOS, Linux, macOS, Onion/Tor, Web, Windows
App Filter: Authenticator, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Lumo, Mail, Meet, Pass, VPN, Wallet, etc
Version Filter: Production, Beta
Sort By: App Name, Platform, Recently Updated

Add support for LaTeX documents
Maybe the number of people who would use this feature is no enormous, but I still think there is a gap in the market that Proton could fill. Importantly, the people who would use this feature is willing to pay.
There is essentially one popular option in the market which is Overleaf, which requires a paid subscription to share a document with more than 2 people, and it is amazingly expensive (€19 monthly). Yet many people pay for it (research funds, it is the university who actually pays).
Probably this is not immediate to build, but maybe in the future...

Allow importing multiple events into Proton Calendar from .ics attachments in Proton Mail
Currently, if we have an .ics attachment with a single event in a Proton mail email, we are able to import that into Proton Calendar.
However, .ics attachments that contain multiple events are not yet supported, and show this message: "This ICS file contains more than one event. Please download it and import the events in Proton Calendar". This introduces a fair amount of friction.I get these quite a lot as I often book train journeys where both the outbound and return journeys are sent to me as two calendar events within one ICS attachment.
Please change the Proton…

Windows: Open ics file should create the event automatically in Proton Calendar
It is not currently possible to set Proton Calendar as default calendar app on Windows.
An easy workaround would be to set Proton as the default app to open .ics file, so that double clicking on a downloaded ics file opens it in Proton Mail/Calendar and adds the event. At the moment the only way is top drag & drop the file on Proton Calendar, which is annoying when done from the web browser.

Show the email attachment at the top
Show the attachments of an email above the text, instead of below. This way, we don't have to scroll down all the way on long conversation.

Proton Website Dark Theme
I don’t get why Proton doesn’t already have this but I believe all the dark theme lovers would love for the Proton website itself to have a dark theme option.

Calendar Events Notification. A Daily Mystery
What would be actually useful would be to see the actual "event" title in the email notification subject, rather than the mysterious and cryptic "Reminder: event starting on..." especialy when you have 10 of these turn up in a row.

A Decentralized, Privacy-First Digital Identity Platform to Empower Global Freedom
Dear Proton Team,
I write with excitement about an idea for a project that feels like a natural evolution of your mission: a self-sovereign digital identity solution that puts power back in users' hands, not governments'. In a world where centralized ID systems are becoming the norm, Proton could lead the charge toward true digital freedom. Allow me to outline the urgent problem, a ready-made solution, and why you're uniquely positioned to make it happen.
The Problem: Centralized IDs as a Slippery Slope to Surveillance
State-backed digital IDs promise efficiency but deliver vulnerability and control. Take the UK's "Brit Card,"…7 votes -
Firefox-first Proton Scribe Browser Extension
I currently use LanguageTool, although not only did they recently switch to reCAPTCHA, they've been using Doubleclick for longer than I can remember.
As such, I'd appreciate it if there were a Proton Scribe browser extension, especially because I've been planning on upgrading to Proton Unlimited, and it would seem more worth-it if there were a writing system bundled in.
I suggest making it Firefox-first to respect users who have gone out of their way to switch away from Chromium.7 votes -
Proton Pass: Bad credentials autofill
Proton Pass often fails to present relevant login entry results when selecting credentials to populate individual login form fields.
Specifically, Proton Pass search results fails to include entries that were accessed moments ago.
For example, the current browser page should automatically trigger corresponding login entries for that domain. But they often don't. So you have to manually search for the right login entry. This happens with mobile browsers.
For example, you can select a login item for the username field. But then the login entry fails to appear in the recent list when populating the password field.
There's a very…

Lumo for Business
Hello,
Lumo is highly regarded for its encryption and user-friendliness. In order to meet the needs of teams, I propose the creation of a Lumo Business subscription including:
- Centralized user account management
- Multiple licenses with volume discounts
- Shared workspaces for team conversations
- Priority support dedicated to organizations
This offer would facilitate the adoption of Lumo in a professional context while maintaining Proton's security standards.
Thank you for considering this proposal.

Log in with QR code
I'm using Proton Pass for all logins. But to start using it on a new device I have to manually enter my Proton password there. It would be very nice to be able to scan a QR code by already logged in device instead.
Here is an example of this feature implemented: https://help.kagi.com/kagi/privacy/log-in-with-qr-code.html
