  1. Encrypted Internet over Starlink

Added protection and encrypted services over the Starlink network. This would provide a value-added feature to Starlink for those who need the added level of encryption from a trusted provider.

  2. Plain Text Editor

Support/create a true plain text editor. Opening text/txt files from Proton Drive would open a true plain text editor instead of the Docs rich-text editor. A true plain text editor would provide a lean, efficient tool for all text-only content. I migrated from Apple to Proton because Apple Notes does not support plain text..it is glitchy with slow, bloated rich-text features (same issue with Microsoft SharePoint). A Proton text-only editor would be lean, fast, efficient...it would standout in the marketplace as the only ecosystem with a text-only editor.

  3. Please give Android apps access to Proton Drive.

As the title says, the apps on Mt Android phone can't access files on Proton Drive. I store ebooks files, sound files, etc that I want to access with their respective apps, but there's no way to do so.

  4. Proton Unlimited – A growing gap in the ecosystem?

Might I suggest a closer alignment between Proton Meet and Proton Unlimited?

While one appreciates the realities of resource constraints, the current approach—where an already top-tier plan effectively becomes “upgradeable” (as seen with Meet and Lumo)—undermines the original concept of Unlimited. It begins to feel less like a complete offering and more like a base layer for subsequent add-ons.

If this direction is necessary, a clearer restructuring would be preferable: either introduce a new, higher-tier plan, or reconsider the scope and pricing of the existing ones. As it stands, what was once the definitive individual tier now feels somewhat diluted.

  6. Sheets - Note Size

I use the insert notes function a lot, and so does my team. However, something that is making using it difficult is the size retention. After creating the text bubble you can widen it, but after you click out it reverts back to it's default size. It becomes quite tedious to widen the bubble every time you read or edit the text within.

Would it be possible to allow the bubble to retain the size once adjusted? It may seem like a small thing but would be a huge help and make it more visually reliable for the user. I…

  8. Secret References: CLI-Based Env Variable Injection for Developer Workflows

Add support for secret references in developer environments, allowing users to reference Proton Pass secrets directly in shell sessions and configuration files without ever writing sensitive values to disk in plain text.

    The Problem
Developers currently have no way to use Proton Pass as the single source of truth for secrets in their development workflows. Even with a .env file properly added to .gitignore, credentials still exist in plain text on disk, vulnerable to accidental exposure, editor leaks, and local filesystem access.

Each developer on a team must also manually sync secret values out-of-band, creating drift and security gaps.

  9. New Product Proposal - Proton Mind (AI-Powered Mind Maps)

    Dear Proton Team,

I would like to suggest the development of a mind mapping application
with AI integrated into the Proton ecosystem, with the following features:

    • Intelligent conversion of PDFs, videos, and notes into visual diagrams
    • Full offline operation using local AI models
    • Lumo engine as the processing core
    • Zero-access encryption maintained at all stages
    • Integration and import capability for files from Standard Notes and Proton Drive.

    Suggested name: Proton Mind

This product would fill an important gap in the Proton portfolio,
offering a private alternative to tools like Mapify, MindMeister,
    and other untrustworthy solutions.

  10. It would be very helpful if Proton Docs had the same editing tools as Google docs. I work a lot with shared documents and I like the privacy

I would like to see the same editing tools as Google Docs. Collaborating on documents is much easier if you can work on the shared document right there. Formatting, page numbers, symbols, the works. Thanks.

  11. Proton PGP Keys signing & verifying all *nix/Windows/Android/iPhone apps. I think users should be able to verify their download.

Many other applications are signed and verified by their makers. Proton should have PGP keys referenced on their website, that sign and verify the applications for download are legitimate and verifiably Proton Products. Think Veracrypt/TAILS/Linux Mint. All those those OSes & software have PGP keys that you can check, in order to make sure what you're downloading is from who it says its from. If I'm using PGP keys within Proton to sign my email for this same purpose; I think Proton should also use these same keys to verify/sign its own products.

    Thanks.

  13. Shared Android Account Authentication Across Proton Apps

Implement unified account authentication across Proton's Android apps, similar to Google and Yandex ecosystems. Once a user signs in to one Proton app, that account should be available for other Proton apps on the same device without requiring repeated manual login.

    Description:
Currently, Proton apps on Android require separate sign-in for each app, even when the user is logging into the same Proton account. This creates unnecessary friction. If a user is already authenticated in Proton Mail, apps like Proton VPN or Proton Pass should be able to detect and reuse that existing account session instead of asking for login…

  14. Proton Classroom Suite

I think it would be cool if Proton had a classroom suite. You would have one central place like Google Classroom, and then all Proton apps would connect to it. Schools could enable and disable certain apps for students. Obviously, for it to work in schools, some more apps would be needed, like Proton Slides. Thoughts?

  15. MS Teams like collaboration environment using proton ecosystem

Environment that has similar chat, channel etc features as MS Teams. Ability to add app like features there, such as calendar and meets. Easy file sharing that uses the proton Drive.

I would switch instantly to proton if that would be available.

  16. A Matrix discord alternative?

I know a lot of people already made a suggestion like this but I was thinking I could give some insight on the tech I'd like to see implemented too, https://matrix.org/ is "An open network for secure, decentralised communication", there's no reason for proton itself to recreate a whole system if this already exists, and since proton meet is here too that could be the solution to voice chat integrated into the discord alternative.

Currently there's like no viable discord alternative but if there's one company I think can do it it'll probably be someone like proton or steam etc

  17. IMAP Label Support in Proton Mail Bridge (X‑GM‑EXT‑1 or equivalent)

    Hello Proton Mail Bridge Team,

I would like to request support for applying Proton Mail labels via IMAP.

Currently, the Bridge exposes labels as IMAP folders (e.g., Labels/Paperless), but it does not support any IMAP mechanism for applying a label to a message.

    This creates a limitation:
    - When a user labels an email in Proton Mail, the Bridge shows it in both INBOX and the label folder (virtual projection).
    - When an IMAP client moves a message into Labels/<Label>, the message is removed from INBOX instead of receiving the label.
    - There is no IMAP command available to apply…

  18. Shared Calendar - Each person has a color assigned to the addition they shared

Shared Calendar - Each person has a color assigned to the addition they add to the shared calander. We have 3 members that share right now but it does not denote who made the event. For example: AJ's events show up as Orange. Mine Fai- would show up as Blue and AG is Green.

  19. Move Standard Notes fully to European infrastructure.

As far as I could read: Standard Notes still uses an AWS-based firewall for web services, with IP addresses temporarily stored by AWS Standard Notes. The public servers are still in the US Standard Notes — their own help page still says so.

Would be great to move Standard Notes fully to Europe!

  20. Watermarks for documents and photos

    Hello everyone,

Would it be possible to add a function to Proton Pass, Drive, or even to create an application that would allow adding watermarks to documents, photos, and videos (similar to what the Watermarkly app does on iPhone)?

This would be fantastic for protecting shared documents, especially these days.

Thank you, and I hope to see this option available one day.

Thank you and have a good day.
