  1. Customized AI Ethics, taylored to the User

The current AI ethics is the standard CYA mode to protect proton from being sued. That is great for Proton, sorta, a waste of time for the rest of us, which lowers the value of Protons product. Having a private and encrypted AI session is meaningless if it isnt truly private, and not have Proton's lawyers looking over my shoulder.

I propose customized settings, complete with disclaimers and liability waivers if necessary. This will allow both side of the morality spectrum to be better served with this tool.

As it stands now, your tool is useless to a good percentage…

  2. Vless implementation

I'm not sure how difficult it will be and what the load on the servers, but it would be very nice to implement vless reality/TLS in Proton VPN.

  3. Offer a GitHub-like product that uses Proton products like Drive and Pass for the backend.

It was just a thought that occurred to me, for I think many developers consider their codebases to be a trade secret and Proton may be the best way to keep it safe from prying eyes.

  4. Always Label **recipient**'s email

Hi, it is already possible to "Always label sender e-mail. This is nice but has an important pitfall: when using SimpleLogin's e-mail, the sender's e-mail is always different, as far as I understand.

So it would be nice to be able to also "always label recipient e-mail, ie the SimpleLogin alias.

  6. Beta Tester

Hi, I am currently a Beta Tester and would like to know is there any way we could be notified of updates made to each software in the Eco System. I have to manually go into each app within the Google Play store and check for updates. If we were notified we could all download latest update ASAP. I only hear of changes through this method or through the Twitter page. Many thanks. Great work, DK

  7. Proton Trouble Ticket App

Would find this much easier than the web page. All services under one app to quickly and easily submit one or more tickets for multiple issues all at the same time, instead of having to navigate and create brand new tickets for each incident from the website. Would eliminate extra steps.

  8. Notesnook collaboration

It would be great to have a notesnook plan included with proton unlimited. Notesnook is an open source end-to-end encrypted service for note taking synced between devices.

  9. Clean Inbox, Clear Mind – Why Proton Mail Is My Go-To for Focused Communication

I recently made the switch to Proton Mail and it’s been a game-changer for keeping my digital life secure and clutter-free. Between the sleek interface, end-to-end encryption, and zero ads, I finally feel like my inbox respects my time and privacy.
One feature I really appreciate is the Labels and Filters—perfect for organizing emails without any data mining in the background. If you’re trying to simplify your inbox and protect your communications, Proton Mail is worth exploring.

  10. Limited email groups for family plan with a custom domain

Currently, no email groups (distribution lists) are supported for non-business plans, even with a custom domain where such lists wouldn't interfere with your wider namespaces. There are real, family oriented use cases for such lists that I think Proton should support, particularly because I've lost them when migrating from Google. The two examples I personally care about:

    1. One small distribution list for my wife and me - we use this email address when creating accounts on web sites where emails might be time sensitive and important, such as banking. There are literally only two recipients.

    2. For many years, each of…

  13. Remove 30 day limit

The 30 day limit to unlock additional storage and other features is unnecessary and makes a switch from other services unnecessarily difficult as it puts pressure on the consumer to immediately use every part of Proton. Not only that, Proton advertises with free features such as 5GB storage but fails to mention from the get go that you need to unlock them within 30 days or you will never get them. Unless you try out every service right away, you won't know that you will lose a few features if you're not fast enough. I don't know if this is…

  14. New datacenter locations

Using Proton mail if you live far from Europe is quite slow due to high latency as all servers are located in Europe.

Please deploy new data centers outside Europe for lower latency for users farther away from Europe.
Two obvious locations that would make sense would be the US (to cover the Americas) and Japan (to cover east Asia and Oceania).

  15. Merge Proton and Mozilla

They already share a lot of philosophies, so it seems that it would work well (and be disruptive, technologically) and eliminate some large amount of duplicate effort.

  16. Putting priority on the development of mobile applications, investing more in web versions does not make sense

I think prioritizing the environment where the overwhelming majority of users are is indisputable, but here we are seeing strange behavior, the web versions are very developed, while the mobile apps seem abandoned.
Which doesn't make sense, since most people don't even know that there is a web version of their apps.

  17. Reproducible builds

    https://www.privacyguides.org/en/desktop/#fn:1
Having reproducible builds for some of Proton's apps would be a great security feature, it can help people verify that the code completely matches the app.

  19. Privacy layer for large language models

A mix of Apple's private cloud computing and Duckduckgo's duck.ai, where people can purchase subscriptions to the large language models of their choice especially the ones more inclined to provide privacy to users, giving them freedom of choice and privacy when using AI.
