  1. Archive/Delete buttons active quicker on email click

When I click on an email, I sometimes want to be able to use keyboard shortcuts for Archive/Delete immediately. I often click on the email only to realise before it's loaded that I just want to delete it.

Keyboard shortcuts take a second or two to be usable currently so I have to wait a little before being able to use them. Or they work immediately but keep the message open, and simply say they've been Archived.

  2. Special discount for students and high exchange rate countries

I would love to see discounts for students and for people in countries with high exchange rate prices for yearly subscriptions. That is all,i think it would be really great and a good way to make the app more accessible to those who cannot afford the better services proton plus provides.

  3. Separate sent folder for SMTP Mails

I'm using SMTP Tokens for my Servers and domains. When a mail was sent via the SMTP token, the mails end up in my send folder, it really is a little annoying when my personal mails and SMTP mails are mixed up in the same folder.
Is it possible to have a separate folder only for SMTP Mails?

  5. realise Proton isn't an "island"

Right now, Proton has good-enough email and calendar tools, but assumes everyone lives in an isolated world.
How many of us have existing Exchange/O365, GSuite etc and need to be able to see things like all our calendars as a single view of the day.
Right now I can't switch to Proton Calendar because I can't see what's in my work calendar alongside my family calendar, and I need to deal with two mail clients etc.
Even having someone send me a Google or Outlook calendar invite doesn't work particularly well, - in the Android app, I can see the…

  6. Local writing assistant option to use local Ollama server, when available

The built in writing assistant (offline version) is a little … stupid … to say the least. It seems to completely disregard the input language as well, opting to rewrite the entire thing in English.

I wanted to propose that you leave the feature set as is for people who aren't setup with alternatives, but add another option so that we can use our own Ollama server within our network, if available.

I run a variety of llama models locally anyways, so might as well use that (and the http API it provides), opposed to having yet another assistant bundled…

  7. Moving the Web Hosting for Proton Services to Blockchain. Internet Computer Protocol to be specific.

Moving the Web Hosting for Proton Services to Blockchain. Internet Computer Protocol(ICP) to be exact.

Immune to Cyber Attacks and Resilient. Shouldn’t be expensive given the cost savings on Cyber Security.

    1. Cost Savings: ICP eliminates the need for traditional hosting services like AWS, reducing recurring costs for storage, bandwidth, and compute.

    2. Privacy and Security: ICP’s decentralized blockchain ensures end-to-end encryption, tamper-proof data, and stronger protections for user information—perfect for Proton’s privacy-first mission.

    3. Performance and Scalability: ICP’s global node infrastructure delivers fast, scalable hosting with minimal latency, ideal for high-traffic services like ProtonMail or ProtonVPN.

    4. Web3-Ready: ICP enables seamless integration with…

  8. Option to restricting servers in specific regions

A simple way to mark specific servers as "Do-not-connect" to avoid unintentional data breaches due to a lack of local internet policy in the region where the server is located.

  10. Automatically sync Proton Meet meetings with Proton Calendar

Currently, I can set up a Proton Meet meeting in Proton Calendar, but it won't show up under "My meetings" in Proton Meet. Equally, if I set up a meeting in Proton Meet, it doesn't show in Proton Calendar. It would be great to have these two services talk to one another.

Well done for launching Proton Meet. It seems instantly stable, and generally working well. Thank you!

  11. Can a waiting room be included in Proton Meet permanent rooms?

Problem: Currently, Proton Meet has permanent rooms that are great for recurring workflows (e.g., schedule management with EHR systems like Sessions Health). However, they lack a proper gatekeeper function. For users working under HIPAA regulations, a permanent link with only password gating is a liability. If a client joins five minutes early while a previous session is still active, they could accidentally "crash" a private meeting. This creates a significant privacy breach risk.

Proposal: Introduce a Waiting Room / Lobby feature specifically for permanent rooms. The host receives a notification when someone attempts to join. Pending joiners remain in a…

  13. APK for Proton Authenticator and Proton Lumo hosted on proton.me website.

These applications are currently hosted on GitHub and F-Droid, if you want an Android APK. I'd prefer to see these moved to verifiable and trusted Proton platform websites.

  14. Multi-platform Contacts Manager for PC and Android

Contacts management happens on smartphones and most people use the google standard issue app. This raises huge privacy concerns. A Proton alternative could provide similar utility without the privacy issues of Google and could be made such that it syncs with a PC version.

  15. Shared Android Account Authentication Across Proton Apps

Implement unified account authentication across Proton's Android apps, similar to Google and Yandex ecosystems. Once a user signs in to one Proton app, that account should be available for other Proton apps on the same device without requiring repeated manual login.

    Description:
Currently, Proton apps on Android require separate sign-in for each app, even when the user is logging into the same Proton account. This creates unnecessary friction. If a user is already authenticated in Proton Mail, apps like Proton VPN or Proton Pass should be able to detect and reuse that existing account session instead of asking for login…

  16. Add a function in the settings to automatically add "Request Read Receipt" to email

It would improve convenience to not click "request read receipt" every time you write an email. A function that does that for you automatically would be great.

  17. Adopt WEBCAT for all web-based applications

The whole existence of Proton revolves around a trustworthy, easy-to-use suite of end-to-end encrypted applications. But one thing is to use Proton's digitally signed mobile applications, another is to use Proton's web-based applications.

So I suggest the early adoption of WEBCAT, a Freedom of the Press Foundation project currently in alpha.

    From their website (https://webcat.tech/):

    """
    The Problem

Websites can change their code at any time, and HTTPS alone does not guarantee that every user receives the same, intended web application. WEBCAT addresses this by enabling signed delivery and transparency log–backed distribution of participating web applications, allowing end users…

  18. Have the same features on the iOS Proton Mail app as on the Windows app

I really need to be able to manage my filters and reorganize my folders on the iOS app.
This is possible on the Windows app.
When a feature is released somewhere, it should be implemented in all apps.

  19. Warn when too many recipients, and be able to select/copy/remove all

I am trying to send news to my family and friends. I thought having the paid plan would allow me to avoid GMail and send the mail to everybody (150 emails approx). But I can't.
    What is even more frustrating:
    - there is no warning when we are close/reach the limit
    - there is no message saying "you are trying to send to 104 people, the limit is 100", just a general message
    - there is no way (AFAIK) to remove all BCC recipients directly, I need to remove them one by one
    - there is no way to select-all…

  20. Proton Classroom Suite

I think it would be cool if Proton had a classroom suite. You would have one central place like Google Classroom, and then all Proton apps would connect to it. Schools could enable and disable certain apps for students. Obviously, for it to work in schools, some more apps would be needed, like Proton Slides. Thoughts?
