1. Proton User Voice Staff and Moderation

   Can we please have two things in the User Voice for Proton:

   1) Can some member of staff actually go through the "ideas" and "label" them so that new users know what is already on the future list and what is denied,

   2) Can the User Voice threads be moderated and can spammers be removed and their spam deleted? I am tired of getting multiple notifications per day "on topics I follow" and its SPAM....I got over 20 this morning and most of them were the same idiot on the same thread that posted like a dozen posts in 1 minute.....do you not have any line of code that catches something like that and blocks the poster? You can't seriously believe that an actual user is posting multiple comments at the same time, can you?

2. Proton Calendar | Page de réservation - zones ******

   I am currently exploring Proton Calendar because I want to move away from Google apps and others (e.g., Calendly).

   It would be great if we could add buffer zones around already booked slots on Proton Calendar booking pages, similar to how Calendly handles it.
   (This would allow for the inclusion of, say, average travel time, so that availability accounts for a buffer period before and after existing calendar appointments.)

3. Stop pushing intrusive ads on Proton services!

   An ad for the Duo subscription pops up every time I open a Proton service like mail or pass that blocks the entire screen and I have to manually dismiss before I can actually do what I logged in to do. I am already paying for unlimited and neither need nor want Duo. The overlap between people who don't like ads and people who pay for the privacy that Proton provides is pretty significant- this a tactic that is likely to drive myself and others away from your company.

5. Ensure reliable datacenter backups for core functionality like email or lose a customer

   There have been two service interuptions with email in the last week (as of Sept 1 2026). I will not be a MailPlus user, nor consider any of this new functionality if you can't keep email as a service up. The lack of datacenter redundancy shows a incredibly poor prioritization by leadership / C level if stability in the most basic service of Email is being down-prioritized for Google Workspace replication.

6. Dead man switch with scheduled emails

   I'd like to propose an enhancement to the current Emergency Contacts feature, specifically for situations where the account owner becomes incapacitated or passes away.

   I think there is an opportunity to make it more flexible by allowing information to be securely shared with people who do not have a Proton account, while also giving them more direct access to the information they need.

   This design is in a way similar to what Google does:

   I can configure a period of inactivity after which an email is automatically released to one or more designated recipients.
   
   The message would be encrypted/password protected, with the password being something I can provide to my loved ones in advance.
   
   The inactivity period could be configurable, for example 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, etc.
   
   Before the message is released, Proton could periodically notify me and give me the opportunity to confirm that I am still active and cancel/reset the countdown.
   
   Recipients would not need to have a Proton account.
   
   Ideally, the recipient would receive a simple, secure way to access the information without having to create a Proton account or understand Proton's encryption system.
   

   Why I think this would be useful

   I currently keep access to my important accounts and digital assets in a password manager. In the event of my death, my family may not know where to find this information or how to access it even if they get access to my Proton account (using the current feature). Moreover this message could also contain other information that I would want my family to have access to, such as instructions regarding digital assets, important contacts, personal wishes, or where physical documents are stored.

   The important part is that the information is prepared while I am alive, but only becomes available if I stop confirming that I am still active.

9. Improve Proton Meet for interactive language instruction

   To use Proton Meet for interactive language instruction, it would be very helpful to enable the teacher to load an image and share the screen. This image could be a template of language exercises. Both the teacher and the student should then be able to annotate the text in the image, either freehand or by typing into a text box. Saving the screen as an image for later reference by the teacher and student would also be very useful. These are features that are possible in Zoom; if Proton Meet provided them, you could publicize its use for this kind of interactive teaching.

    A Unified Proton Desktop App with Lumo at the Center

    I would love to see Proton eventually move toward a single, unified Proton desktop application that brings the entire Proton ecosystem together in one interface, with Lumo as a persistent, context-aware AI assistant.

    Instead of having separate desktop apps or browser tabs for Mail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Pass, VPN, etc., the user could have one central Proton application.

    Proposed interface

    The app could have a left sidebar containing all Proton services:

    • Lumo
    • Mail
    • Calendar
    • Drive
    • Docs
    • Sheets
    • Slides
    • Pass
    • VPN
    • Account / Settings
    • Other Proton services

    The currently selected service would open in the main area.

    On the right side, Lumo would remain available as a collapsible sidebar.

    For example:

    Drive → full Drive interface in the center + Lumo sidebar on the right.

    Sheets → full Sheets interface in the center + Lumo sidebar on the right.

    Mail → full Mail interface in the center + Lumo sidebar on the right.

    The user could expand or collapse Lumo whenever needed.

    Lumo should understand the current context

    This would become much more powerful if Lumo could, with explicit user permission, work with the service currently being used.

    For example:

    “Summarize this email and create a reply draft.”

    “Analyze this spreadsheet and show me the most important trends.”

    “Turn these notes into a structured document.”

    “Create a presentation from this document.”

    “Find the relevant files in my Drive and summarize them.”

    Eventually, Lumo should also be able to work across Proton services:

    “Take the information from this email, create a Calendar event, and save the relevant attachment to my Drive.”

    Every action should be permission-based and opt-in, with users being able to control what Lumo can read or modify in each Proton service. Sensitive actions such as sending emails, deleting files, or modifying important data should require explicit confirmation.

    Why I think this would be extremely valuable

    Lumo currently has a lot of potential, but simply having another AI chat interface is not enough to compete with the larger AI platforms.

    Proton has something much more interesting: an entire privacy-focused ecosystem.

    Instead of trying to compete only on model intelligence, Lumo could become the private AI layer connecting the entire Proton ecosystem.

    The goal would be something similar to the integrated AI experience in Google Workspace, but with Proton's privacy and security principles:

    One Proton app → all Proton services → one persistent Lumo assistant → user-controlled permissions.

    I believe this could make Lumo dramatically more useful for everyday productivity and would give Proton a very strong differentiator compared with standalone AI assistants.

    I would especially love to see this become the long-term direction of the Lumo desktop app.

11. warning on document size before lock

    Current behavior:
    -A Proton Doc file that is >25Mb automatically put it self in Read only mode

    Issues:
    -There is no warning or public information about this limitation
    -Copy document, clone it, download in any type file available is not a solution since the comments and other special format is lost.
    -A lot of time is wasted because no warning is made

    Expected behavior:
    -Remove that limitation
    -at least make a warning in the document before it happend, so the users can take actions.

12. Subject prefix/suffix when forwarding Mails

    When forwarding mails with Proton Mail, I'd like to prefix the "subject" field. I'd be using this to give the mails a label/tag. Optionally also a suffix, but i wouldnt really need that.

    A physical cell phone made ethically with ProtonOS- NOT a version of Android with the Proton name slapped onto it. Lead the way with the duopoly alternative!

    tldr has everything we want out of a cell phone but made by Proton cuz you’re privacy based and we love yall.

    But also because Google and Apple have very shady business practices and their software is not privacy focused, not the way Proton is. But aside from the very few Linux phones, there’s no other options.

    It’s gotta be likeGrapheneOS where everything can be deleted with a code.

    I would like to submit an important feature request for Proton Docs.

    The problem:

    Proton Docs currently has no page system. It is impossible to create properly structured multi-page documents with real pagination. This makes it unsuitable for longer documents (reports, essays, theses) and any professional or academic work requiring more than a single page.

    Impact:

    Without this, I must continue using external tools for multi-page documents. I would prefer to stay within the Proton ecosystem for privacy, but this limitation prevents me from doing so.

    Feature request:

    Add a true multi-page pagination system to Proton Docs, similar to what Google Docs, Microsoft Word Online, and LibreOffice Online offer.

    Proton currently limits the number of email aliases, even when users connect and manage their own domains. This restriction feels unnecessary for custom domains because the user already owns and controls the domain.

    Please allow unlimited - or substantially more - aliases for custom domains connected to Proton. Ideally, aliases should not count toward the standard Proton address limit.

    Custom-domain integration should also extend across Proton Mail, Proton Pass, and SimpleLogin.

    Users should be able to:
    Create unlimited Hide-my-email aliases using their own domain or subdomain.
    Share a connected domain across Proton Mail, Proton Pass, and SimpleLogin without configuring it separately in each service.
    Choose whether a domain is available to one user or shared with an organization or family.
    Manage domains, aliases, routing, and permissions from one central location.
    Use separate subdomains for regular mail addresses and Hide-my-email aliases.

    Currently, domains added to Proton Mail are not integrated with Proton Pass or SimpleLogin.
    Building a unified custom-domain system would make Proton’s email and alias services feel like one cohesive ecosystem while giving users greater flexibility and control.

16. More and more platforms block Proton email

    Proton email is now largely useless. Every day, more and more services refuse to accept emails sent from Proton Mail TLD's. I can't even use Proton to communicate with Wisconsin municipal resources. You are not doing enough to convince anyone to stop blocking Proton.

17. Please send a Proton Sentinel summary even when there's no activity

    Proton only sends the "Your Proton Sentinel summary for MM YYYY" email when there's activity. When there's none, I get nothing.
    Please also send a summary even on quiet months.

18. Show permanent timestamps (date and time received) under email headers

    Please add a setting to permanently display the exact time and date an email was sent/received directly in the reading pane. Currently, users must hover or click the relative date dropdown to see the specific time. A persistent visual layout option would greatly improve daily workflow efficiency and prevent errors.

19. Ability to categorize email aliases

    Scrolling through the long list of aliases is cumbersome. The ability to group by category, possible with some visual separation either by grouping or color or icon category would make this easier to use and more functional.

20. Add "Move existing conversation to a Project" feature

    Background

    Projects were introduced with Lumo 1.3 to centralize conversations, files, and instructions around a specific topic. It's a great feature for maintaining context and working in an organized way.

    However, there is currently no way to move an existing conversation into a Project. This limitation makes Projects useless for any work started before they existed, and forces users to lose the historical context of their exchanges.

    Why this is critical

    1. Context loss: A Project should gather all discussions related to a topic. Without being able to migrate older conversations, the Project remains incomplete and Lumo cannot access the relevant history.

    2. Frustrating for proactive users: Many users create Projects after the fact because they realize their conversations are scattered. They want to organize existing work, not just start fresh from now on.

    3. Major productivity impact: Without this feature, Projects lose their core value — being a continuous workspace with complete memory.

    Concrete use case

    • I've had 15 conversations about my marketing strategy project since January
    • I create a "Q1 Marketing Project" today to centralize everything
    • I cannot move these 15 conversations → I have to recreate everything or lose the history
    • Result: I lose context, I have to re-explain everything to Lumo

    Proposed solution

    Add at least one of the following options:

    1. Context menu: Three-dot menu on a conversation → "Move to Project" → select target Project
    2. Drag & drop: Drag a conversation from the sidebar list onto a Project
    3. Long press (mobile): Context menu with "Move into project" option

    What we know is possible

    This feature already exists in other AI assistants (Claude Projects, etc.). It's technically feasible since a Project is simply a logical organization — not a physical copy of data.

    Expected impact

    ✅ Reorganize existing history into structured workspaces
    ✅ Maintain complete context memory per Project
    ✅ Maximize the value of Projects for all users, not just new work
