Please add a spreadsheet app
A spreadsheet app with ability to collaborate with others on proton. Also have the option to either store a sheet locally (on device only) or on your proton account to be used across devices. Also, some kind of import system to bring existing sheets into proton sheets.

I totally dont understand Proton still doesnt have a spreadsheet editor. I started a trial based on the belief that it is part of the 'docs' part of Proton. Its something we really need and unfortunately it is disappointing to see its not in the package.

How can you have an office suite without spreadsheets?

You can start with a basic spreadsheet.
But it would be important if you could also create more complex calculations with it. -

I miss that a lot.
It would be so important if there were a Proton Calc. -

Since there is no proton drive app on linux, I am forced to use the rclone API but it is a bit tedious and unreliable. I work with the OnlyOffice worksheet app but it does have some bugs. If it means I can keep my worksheets on the cloud and easily edit them in my browser, a worksheet up would be welcome. If a proton drive for linux is easier, please do that.

I use spreadsheets for almost everything. I can't stop using Google until you add a Sheets replacement. At least start with the basics, then you can add more functionality over time.

PLEASE please please add spreadsheets! I have so many confidential sheets I want to delete off Google. I've been waiting for Proton to come out with this for years. The minute a competitor to Proton comes out with sheets, I'll have to move our company over to it. Please hurry up and release sheets!

I just saw that Notes has a spreadsheet option but it can only be subscribed to annually. I would like to test it out but not at a commitment of 90. Would proton be willing to have a monthly subscription or a free trial period?

It would be good to have a simple spreadsheet styled features included. I find myself going back to Google Sheets but it really only need simple calc features for budgeting and planning. I am hoping that by investing our European money into European (aka Swiss :)) technology we can start building out digital services here. For too long Europe did not support its tech sector... I am a big supporter of what you are building out here!!

This is what is holding me back from removing G:Drive or recommending Proton for small businesses.

I read this further down in the thread: "avalanche of conversions from Google Workspace defectors" and similar sentiments throughout. Avalanches kill people and companies.
As an experienced product manager, I can see this entirely from Proton's perspective. A spreadsheet is a climb but doable, and the demand is obvious. That is not why this is "taking a long time". The people resources and infrastructure to scale for an "avalanche" and provide a quality product - not to mention keep providing the resources and infrastructure for other services - is 1-2 magnitudes of order more expensive and difficult.
Google, Microsoft, Amazon and the rest of big tech absorb this by spinning up more infrastructure in their clouds; hiring and then firing all the people they need, or paying off the venture capitalists to acquire their tech; or flatly stealing what they need. Proton is the opposite of that.
The biggest single thing to do to accelerate the spreadsheet is to use their paid services. They do not have venture capital, debt, or any of the other levers to pull - and they are not going to spin up another server at Google, MS, or AWS.
Proton is based in Switzerland, they know how to not be killed in an avalanche.

One of the few things keeping me in the Googlesphere - spreadsheets, forms, slides and of course the scheduler. I wish I could change everything to Proton!!

This is likely the only thing linking many people to google who want to switch. That and maps.

I've requested the same, but named it Excel instead of spreadsheet.
