Lumo - Project folders
I would like to group chats by folders and add to every folder(project) individual instructions to keep the conversation focused around the topics in the project.

I will not create another topic for this and just simple ask: can the folder please not be opened by default? It does not even show all of them so i still need to click if i want certain projects.
Also regarding the main topic, can we please stop lumo adding random files? I linked a proton drive folder since i had different mini projects i wanted lumo to help me but each and every time i need to manually exclude the files i need for the other mini project. And even then lumo is still activly responding questions from a different chat in the project????? why like??? As much as i like the ideea of lumo picking up information from another chat in the same project, the issue is that lumo does that even if there was NOTHING related to it. Also, in projects, why can lumo not write "Project notes"? As in, just like how we have the chats, and documents, there is a file where lumo mentions any kind of update, any kind of task, any kind of details, separationgs, and more for the purpuse of orienting. BTW please update lumo's protocol since i always need to explaini to lumo about the whole doc linked to chat, about what a project is, about how there are different chats, and it create a bad vicious circle where i can't progress with the task since i either explain to lumo how it works or/and to focuse on the matter

Because one has to define the agent for each Project, I came to think of the Project as being my instructions for that instance of Lumo.
I then had the instinct to create different folders in Drive for the different projects of mine I wanted that instance of Lumo to use.
The workflow seemed to be create Lumo instructions > work with _that_ Lumo on certain projects _types_.
A good example is a Lumo for learning code and a Lumo for written communications and grammar - editing is very different than teaching in terms of tone, personality, brevity and the types of asides it might offer.
I find myself making user projects and then having to copy/paste my Lumo into the different Projects that share similar Lumo needs. Not a huge problem, but feels a bit counter intuitive from a user process perspective.

Creating a new project does NOT come with the option to organize chat-history within that project, nor to organize chat-history in a folder-structure. The only advantage of a project is that it can link to relevant files and to describe project-specs.

We still cannot move existing chats into new projects to organize the mess of an history left behind :/

The new version crashes instantly when touching the screen. Can’t use Lumo at all now. Using iPhone 12 and iPad 4th gen both on iOS 26.2. The full screen gets blank and frozen.

The only feature I need in order to leave chatGPT Plus...

Almost useless without that. My main usage of IA LLM is to explore my own docs.

Please, it is quite critical for professional use at least !

As long as it can be implemented with the same privacy focus as everything else, this would be fairly useful. Even just a tagging system would be enough honestly. Possibly more useful than folders. You can always emulate folders the way Gmail does (or at least used to, I don't use it anymore). Folders don't exist in Gmail, just tags, though they're displayed like folders. This allows emails to be in more than one folder without making copies

'Project' folders are essential, first for on-screen privacy/rolling up chats and also for organizational purposes.

Yes, tags/folders should be basic in every chatbot for categorising chats. This would instantly make Lumo stand out over the other chatbots.

It would be great to organize different kind of chats in a folder structure to keep chat history compact and clear, especially when the number of chats grow and grow.

Please!! See what ChatGPT and others offer: project folders including project specific files and instructions.

This is the number one feature I'm looking for right now, even more than dark mode! Having all of the chats listed in a single continuous list without any way of searching through them or sorting makes referencing chat history a real pain-- project folders are the easiest solution to this for now I feel until a potentially more robust search option is figured out

I like this idea, it is similar to one I just put up, the 'Conversation Vault.'

This would be a nice touch. The ability to have separate Folders / Projects that you can separate discussions into would be a real help to organise conversations.
Ideally if Lumo could learn from the conversations in the project and focus responses on a topic that you assign to the Folder / Project it would make this a really robust feature.

I agree, this feature would be ideal. If not folders, maybe labels? It could also be augmented with a single set of files that these chats look at, but I think the priority is folders/labels.
