  1. Docs

Reasonably proton docs is still missing a lot of features. Some improvements I've noticed it needs while using it are a page printer view, spacing variability, format memory (when starting a new line font and text size revert to default), precision font variability, better spacing with indented checkboxes, and an easy and elegant UI for viewing already created docs

  4. Sub-calendars leaking into Apple Calendar notifications

When tracking events with multiple Proton Calendar calendars, then events on these secondary calendars end up triggering spurious iOS notifications. The notifications appear from Proton Calendar when using Proton Calendar notifications, or Apple Calendar when using Apple Calendar notifications. In both cases, I have the iOS client application set to import only a single, main Proton Calendar calendar. But the extra ones keep slipping through.

The secondary calendar events do not appear on iOS Proton Calendar nor Apple Calendar, just the notifications.

As a workaround, I have to remember not to use extra Proton calendars. This makes it harder to…

  5. Midnight events malformed

Proton Calendar renders certain events incorrectly. When an event is scheduled to start at 7:00pm and end at midnight (the start of the following day), then the rectangle appears to instead end after only half an hour.

As a workaround, I have to manually set the event to end at 11:59pm instead of midnight.

  6. Export emails in a folder to PDF

Right now we can only export 1 email at a time to PDF. It would be incredibly useful to be able to choose a folder and export all of the emails in that folder as PDF (individual emails as individual PDFs AND export all emails into one big PDF).

  8. Hide username and email

I want Proton to remove the username and the email that's on the right side of the "Settings" gear in the mail website so passersby can't see your credentials that easily

that feature is just annoying to those who's frequent to public internet cafes

  9. Proton Calendar poor UX

Proton Calendar is overall proving very glitchy, especially regarding notifications. To the point where I'm missing meetings and managers are instituting remedial attendance training. May switch back to Google Calendar in terms of reliability.

  10. Proton Drive: Richer iOS/iPadOS integration

Let's add Proton Drive to the iOS share menu, like Proton Mail. And allow uploads to run in the background.

  11. Stop recommending Phone Verification as a security method

SIM swapping occurs and well. If it occurs hackers can just go to the proton login and reset the users password since they have control of their phone number they will be able to log in and they will be able to acess the user's mail read through them and etc only If the user has the second password setting enabled on proton pass on proton drive it won't be a lot of damage but it will be some damage. If the user dosen't have 2nd password enabled it would be a devastating blow for the user causing the user's…

  12. Highlight text formatting in mail

We need to be able to highlight text with a background color in mail. This is a common formatting style to help email senders prioritize/highlight important text a message. Bolding is similar but insufficient.

  13. Proton Drive deleted all my Calibre books

Unlike Dropbox, Proton Drive interacts poorly with Calibre.

Initially, I thought I had successfully migrated my Calibre Library from Dropbox to Proton Drive. Thinking everything was okay, I even deleted my Dropbox account. But just a few days later, disaster. 100% of my books are gone. Ten gigabytes of thousands of carefully curated ePUB files. All that was left were empty, useless author folders.

Although Proton Drive claims to support recovering old files within 180 days by default, the option to restore my Calibre Library folder from a previous version failed to appear in the menu.

  14. Duplicate calendar notifications

This morning, Proton Calendar showed two different iOS notifications for the same event.

May have to do with the fact that I crossed a timezone boundary the previous day, so in terms of debugging, could start there.

  15. Pass: Better offline behavior

Proton Pass loses a lot of basic functionality in offline mode.

Namely, the ability to create and edit records.

This makes it harder to safely persist sensitive information when Internet access is unavailable.

I often use electronics in environments with poor or no Internet access.

But even in urban areas and transportation, this is a problem. Pass interacts poorly with captive portals, which often require users to setup an account with usernames, email addresses, and passwords. But there's a chicken and egg problem where Pass refuses to save this information until the captive portal resolves.

  16. Bad calendar notification

Today, Proton Calendar presented a corrupt iOS notification.

    "You have an upcoming event"

When I click through the notification, it lands on a generic view in Proton Calendar, instead of showing any specific event details.

  17. Improve Proton Icons in Linux

Proton icons in Linux are not only smaller than the standard 48 pixels but moreover have a very ugly white background filling out the 48 px size. Please Proton, do a proper job of the icons and size them correctly and with a transparent background, in the standard (transparent) .png format.

  19. Treat subdomains as essentially identical to parent domains

Please treat nested domains like a.b.c.d as essentially identical to b.c.d and c.d.

This helps several Proton Pass features to work in a more practical manner, including autofill and password update.

Without this enhancement, Proton Pass often mistakenly creates duplicate login items, instead of prompting to update existing login items.

  20. Allow family members to create new email addresses privately.

Currently the Family Plan provides a total of 90 email addresses for all family members, but the admin users must create the addresses for each member. From a privacy standpoint this is very wrong.

I recommend having an option for the admin users to allocate an amount of addresses from the total of 90 to each member. Each member should then create their own additional addresses, and the additional addresses should be only visible to each user. Family admins should not be able to see family member secondary addresses.

I purchased the Family Plan for my family because I value…
