  1. Midnight events malformed

Proton Calendar renders certain events incorrectly. When an event is scheduled to start at 7:00pm and end at midnight (the start of the following day), then the rectangle appears to instead end after only half an hour.

As a workaround, I have to manually set the event to end at 11:59pm instead of midnight.

  2. Product Pricing - Clarity of Costs by including currency identifier

    Proton Products are available internationally.
    Your documentation says
" We accept cash payments in US dollars (USD), euros (EUR), or Swiss francs (CHF)"

For "Pass + Simple Login Lifetime offer" it displays $199 which is VERY AMBIGUOUS for a company with customers around the world.

In the absence of precision and clarity as to what currency this "$" sign is referring to, an Australian would read this as AUD, a Solomon Islander would read this as SBD, ..... which represents a significant cost difference to the customer.

PLEASE BE PRECISE in showing costs of your products when using DOLLAR SIGNS.…

  3. Archive/Delete buttons active quicker on email click

When I click on an email, I sometimes want to be able to use keyboard shortcuts for Archive/Delete immediately. I often click on the email only to realise before it's loaded that I just want to delete it.

Keyboard shortcuts take a second or two to be usable currently so I have to wait a little before being able to use them. Or they work immediately but keep the message open, and simply say they've been Archived.

  4. Calendar: Bad scroll launch view

When I launch the Proton Calendar mobile app, then I would expect it to show a relevant hour, like the current time, or the next upcoming event. Instead, it often scrolls way all the way up to the midnight hour starting the day.

As a result, I just see an empty screen, instead of the events that populate my waking day. I'm not nocturnal.

  5. Proton Pass: Option to force use of email address or username

Proton Pass often presents the wrong information when populating authentication forms.

One workaround involves removing the email address formally associated with the account. Then Proton Pass correctly supplies the authentication form with the username rather than the email address.

However, removing the formal email address value from the Proton Pass login record makes it harder to track and organize my accounts.

When both an email address and a username are supplied on a Proton Pass login record, please provide an option to deem one or the other as the default authentication identifier.

  6. Error too many aliases created recently

    Hi,

I am a Proton Unlimited subscriber.

I am trying to go through all my Internet accounts and assign a unique email address alias to each one.

However, after creating only a handful of aliases, Proton complains of too many aliases.

As a paying customer, I find this minuscule rate limit unproductive.

  7. Separate sent folder for SMTP Mails

I'm using SMTP Tokens for my Servers and domains. When a mail was sent via the SMTP token, the mails end up in my send folder, it really is a little annoying when my personal mails and SMTP mails are mixed up in the same folder.
Is it possible to have a separate folder only for SMTP Mails?

  9. No way to reject individual events in calendar series

When I go to decline a specific meeting within a recurring series in Proton Calendar for iOS, then instead of just declining that meeting, or prompting whether I'd like to decline that meeting vs the entire series, Proton Calendar only shows a prompt to "Update" (cancel entire series) or "Cancel" the decline action.

  10. 2FA using phone number

Double authentication (2FA) using phone number. Proton pass allows you to save authentication codes, but it's risky if you get disconnected. You have to find a solution for customers who trust you and who all have their account with you... At this point, either you take the risk of being logged out and permanently losing access to your account, or you disable dual authentication, which would make your account more vulnerable, or you have to download a dual authentication app just to log in proton.... It's a bit ridiculous

  11. SPACE between Folders and Labels

    Typing from Proton plus-paid account.

PLEASE reduce the space (gap, interstice, slot, or however you name it) between the folders.

The significant amount of space between the folders is causing inconvenience. It's almost as if an entire folder could fit in this gap. This inefficiency makes it cumbersome and almost confusing to navigate through the folders, especially when one has to scroll extensively to find the right one.

It would be great to see some upgrades for this feature in a very near future.

BTW: I do not believe that actually PM support takes those suggestions serious. Any feedback from…

  13. Add UserVoice link in all GitHub repositories for easy finding

Just a minor improvement by adding the UserVoice.com URL to the description of repos in GitHub along with an appropriate message to lead users to this platform. Some users will find the Proton GitHub, but not know about the UserVoice, and end up adding email support requests instead, particularly since "Issues" GitHub page isn't public or doesn't exist. This is an easy semi-fix for support requests overload.

  14. realise Proton isn't an "island"

Right now, Proton has good-enough email and calendar tools, but assumes everyone lives in an isolated world.
How many of us have existing Exchange/O365, GSuite etc and need to be able to see things like all our calendars as a single view of the day.
Right now I can't switch to Proton Calendar because I can't see what's in my work calendar alongside my family calendar, and I need to deal with two mail clients etc.
Even having someone send me a Google or Outlook calendar invite doesn't work particularly well, - in the Android app, I can see the…

  15. Local writing assistant option to use local Ollama server, when available

The built in writing assistant (offline version) is a little … stupid … to say the least. It seems to completely disregard the input language as well, opting to rewrite the entire thing in English.

I wanted to propose that you leave the feature set as is for people who aren't setup with alternatives, but add another option so that we can use our own Ollama server within our network, if available.

I run a variety of llama models locally anyways, so might as well use that (and the http API it provides), opposed to having yet another assistant bundled…

  18. Make it cheaper to buy it for longer. 2 years is more expensive than 1 year. That should not be.

I went to sign up for Proton Mail. But I get worried. Sure, its 1.99 per month for a year, but then it goes to $4.99. How much will it be in 2026, or 2030? $800 a month? Then, I would be in a pickle. I would rather pay for a lifetime and never worry about how much it costs ever again. Too many other companies, such as Satellite TV offerred cheap deals for a year, then jacked up the prices to higher than I can afford, and Im skeptical you wont do the same.

  19. Higher contrast font *color* choices

Higher contrast font colors are needed.

The use of a pale grey on off white is not very readable. Reading is particularly difficult in the Proton Mail "app."

  20. Access to account only with hardware key

    Dear forum members / developers!

I do not speak English. I wrote with a translator. Sorry for the mistakes.
I would like to request a change to a function!

The problem is that an authentication application must be activated before I can use the hardware key for the account!

I would like to request that the account can only be accessed with a hardware key. Account recovery can only be done with a hardware key.
