  1. Proton should buy kagi.com

Kagi provides a very sophisticated web search service that is subscription-based (no ads). Since Proton is trying to become an alternative to the Google ecosystem, it could make sense for Kagi to fall within the Proton umbrella. Frankly, I find it a bit hard to justify subscribing to a search engine however if that service was part of a group of services like Proton, I'd be more in favour of subscribing to that whole bundle.

  2. Proton OS Desktop

Proton OS will definitely revolutionize the market, we need a user friendly and modern UI like windows and also techy enough as Linux with complete privacy and security. Proton should join forces with other privacy oriented teams and work on this in long term.

  3. Temporary phone numbers

Can you add to Proton Pass as part of overall security using my standard mobile number as the hidden number and a temp phone I can hand out to internet sign ups and apps etc?

  4. Proton Video Calls

An end-to-end encrypted voice and video call service developed by Proton where users can talk to each other privately. Kind of like Google Meet, but well... You know... Private. This would greatly help a lot of users replace their reliance on Google apps. Thanks!

  5. Proton to stop promoting on Twitter/X

I'm asking Proton as a company to stop promoting giveaways and other promotional events on Twitter/X, as it is a cesspool of alt-right and neo-nazi propaganda and is owned and run by a psychopath. Encouraging people to use that platform is harmful to everyone. Please stop.

  6. Phone number

A phone number that allows me to keep my real phone number hidden from potential spam, and/or a system that allows me to use temporary phone numbers connected only to my proton account.

  7. Support for Encrypted ClientHello (ECH)

Encrypted ClientHello (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-tls-esni/) while new, would benefit the privacy of proton users by making it harder for usage of proton services to be distinguished between (for example by ISP’s). Though one of the services to benefit most from support for such would be ProtonVPN, other proton services would still receive benefit from this.
Finally, support for such would benefit possible future services such as Domain Hosting.

  8. Proton Pass: Integrate with HTTP Basic Auth

Please integrate with HTTP Basic Auth. Many services, such as Transmission Remote, continue to rely on HTTP Basic Auth to implement authentication.

    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Authentication

This problem seems to happen in multiple browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and others. Work with browser developers to fix how HTTP Basic Auth integrates with password managers.

As a workaround, the Proton Pass user has to manually copy the credentials via the clipboard, which is slow.

Concurrently, please work with Transmission developers to get a more modern, password manager friendly authentication system stood up, so that the service will no longer rely on HTTP…

  9. Proton & Accrecent Store

Accrecent is novel Android app store focused on security, privacy, and usability. It is a trusted and a safe source to download apps in GrapheneOS too.

Proton users on Android would have a safer way (from a security point of view) to install proton producs other than downloading them from F-Droid, apk or GitHub, as well as an alternative to the Play Store, because it is secure but it does not respect privacy.

  10. Bank

    ⭐️
    Proton Wallet:

To enable better privacy for banking,
banking functions would be great in the future,
    such as:

    IBAN's,
    physical cards,
    virtual cards,
    and savings accounts,
as well as great functions for maximum control.

  11. Offer/integrate Support for "UnifiedPush" Push Notifications on Android Systems

Looking to have support for UnifiedPush notifications, or similar ability to receive push notifications on Proton android apps.

This would vastly improve connectivity for users who opt not to use Google Services on their device, which is a growing number.

Similar projects like The Signal Foundation allow to push notifications/check servers at the cost of battery, which would be fine in this context as well.

Thank you for all you do

  14. Proton Git

I store a lot of code on git, and it would be great if there was a privacy focused git, that didn't use my code to train AI (looking at you Github). Selfhosting is not a option for me as I need to have a reliable option for work.

  15. Make all photos available offline on Mobile

Photos are very slow to load, making it difficult for me to scroll back and find particular events.

Individual photos have the option to "Make available offline", but when I select all the photos I can only Download or Move to trash.

I'd like an option to make all my photos available offline.

  16. Proton Guardian: Anti-Spyware Solution for Deep-Level Security

Introducing Proton Guardian: Advanced Anti-Spyware for Deep Security

The idea of launching a dedicated anti-spyware tool under the Proton brand—let's call it Proton Guardian—could provide Proton users with a comprehensive security solution. This tool would scan systems for spyware, detect deep-level security vulnerabilities, and provide actionable solutions. With Proton's commitment to privacy, Proton Guardian could become a trusted choice for users looking to enhance their system's security against malware and spyware, building on Proton's reputation for privacy-focused services.

  17. Proton Family pricing options

I'm happy to see the newly released Proton Family plan! I've been waiting around for something like this for a while. However, I don't really need to support 6 users in my small family. Can we instead get pricing per member? The current pricing is about 3.33 USD per member per month, at 19.99 USD per month if you get the 2 year plan. How about flexible pricing: 2 members = 4.99 USD each, 3 members = 4.49 USD each, 4 members = 3.99 USD each, 5 members = 3.49 USD each, 6 members 3.33 USD each.

  18. Ability to delete or change original email adress

I would very much want to be able to simply change or delete the original email adress that I made when creating the account.

The first email adress you create gets a version with all the available suffixes at the end.(example@protonmail.com, example@pm.me etc)

Thoes original adresses can't be changed, deleted or disabled and it annoys me; I want to get rid of them! Would be very cumbersome to create a new account just for this.

  19. Google Suite

Honestly, just copy everything Google does with their contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, etc. It's super frustrating that their suite of applications is as excellent as it is for such an evil company.

I'm finding it very difficult to make the move over to Proton because of missing features.

One-time payment for future certainty. Hopefully reconcilable with the subscription-based business model.
