Additionally, looking at other's comments on this being unnecessary; It might be for you, but me personally I have a very small circle of groups that I trust, with proton being the largest. since Proton has already made a suite of services that combat nonprivate ones like Google and Microsoft. Many people are also forgetting OP's point that companies like Google are buying out all the other browsers, and the simple fact that Firefox is dying and many browsers we love, like Brave, are chromium based.

Would absolutely use a Proton browser with a similar UI and such. would be a game changer, and Proton could realistically be a private challenger to giants like google or microsoft.

Kagi have shown that with a small paying user base they have built quality, privacy-focussed apps - search, browser, etc. They also hint at an email service. Firefox seems to be beyond saving. There doesn't need to be a Proton Browser. Proton already has too many apps if anything. There are plenty of good, FOSS, privacy-conscious Browsers out there. Librewolf, Firefox with privacy settings turned on, Firefox + Arkenwolf, Mullvad, Brave, Cromite, Mull, are all good.

Would love to see Kagi brought into the Proton ecosystem. Similar missions, similar high standards to support the user through their funding. Kagi is working on their Orion Browser, pretty good so far. Imagine all the Proton services working natively from their own browser 😭🤤

With Firefox eating **** lately, I'm reluctantly looking to Proton to uphold the ideals that Mozilla should be, by picking up Firefox and maintaining it properly. I'm not interested in yet another Chromium-based browser.

Also add an anonymous windows over TOR like brave has, it would be great because the brave tor feels more like a normal browser than a **** command prompt (other tor browsers).

Ungoogled Chromium, Librewolf, Floorp, Waterfox, so many Firefox forks and user configs, even Iceraven for Android... all privacy focused. Why another one? DO NOT WASTE your resources on reinventing the wheel.

I would not pay pay extra for this, and wouldn't be happy if my current proton tier went up because of this.

So, I would LOVE a Proton Browser as a Member of Proton Unlimited! So, I loved the Idea of the Opera GX Sidebar(with build-in WhatsApp, Discord, usw.) and I think their should be more browser with some sidebar like this. Proton should make a browser with a custom(deactivate or activate features) sidebar, all privacy Features that are possible and their build-in ecosystem. But nothing like a these default browsers like chrome. They should implement features like Opera has. They should just make a full-customizable Browser! I would buy it, when it costs like 5€, even as a Unlimited User.

If Mullvad can make their own browser. Why Proton couldn't?

A Firefox fork, like LibreWolf with uBlock Origin and Proton extensions already baked in can't be that expensive, it could even increase their sales

A Proton Browser would be great to mitigate fingerprinting, because all browsers being identical, same settings, same extensions set, spoofing screen size and behind Proton VPN would be very difficult to be tracked
