  3. Better handling of password fields with a maxlength attribute in the browser extension

Obviously having a password field with a relevantly small maxlength is already a strange choice, but some websites do this on their account registration forms, their password reset or recovery forms, and their login forms.

I'm not sure what the best handling of maxlength is for a password manager, but at a minimum drawing the user's attention to it and highlighting when we have saved or autofilled a password that does not fit in that maxlength would be good.

It creates a small security problem too, for users that use memorable (low entropy per character) passwords, they might prefer a…

  4. Show one-time email verification codes directly in Proton Pass

    Feature request:
I heavily use Proton Pass hide-my-email aliases to sign up for services (Tinder, Instagram, banks, stores, etc.). The current friction: whenever a site sends the 6-digit verification code (or confirmation link) to confirm the email address during signup or login, I have to leave Proton Pass, open Proton Mail, and hunt for the message.
    Suggestion:
It would be a game-changer if these one-time email verification codes (usually 4–8 digits) were automatically detected and displayed directly inside Proton Pass — right on the alias card itself — without ever needing to open the mailbox.
    Benefits:

    Instant code access →…

  5. Allow Proton Authenticator to Sync codes to Proton cloud.

Allow Proton Authenticator to Sync codes to Proton cloud.

Google allows me to sync my list of Authenticator codes to my account in the cloud.
If I lose my mobile phone, and can access my Google account via a recovery method, I can then access all of my data, including my Authenticator codes list, and re-download it onto the Google Authenticator app on a new phone, and I am back up and running.

Without this cloud sync feature, I am wary of adopting Proton Authenticator since losing my phone amounts to losing access to all services - and potentially finances/crypto.

  6. Add proper support for importing passwords from the apple ios passwords app

In the apple passwords app on ios it has a button to export passwords but the problem is that proton pass does not show up in the list of compatible apps

    img: https://salty-mat.github.io/IMG_5693.jpg

In the image it only shows bitwarrden as a compatible app even though i have proton pass installed

  7. Dynamic window/interface dividing lines in Proton Pass Web + desktop

Please consider adding dynamic dividing lines or panes to Proton Pass (web app and desktop). This would allow users to resize or adjust sections such as the sidebar, vault list, and item details for improved organization and usability.
I’m not sure if the Windows version already supports this. I primarily use Proton Pass on macOS and iPhone. Currently, the fixed layout leaves quite a bit of unused screen real estate, especially on larger displays. Adding adjustable panes would greatly enhance the overall user experience.

  8. Proton Authenticator (PA), brief / compact view option

Currently, each code is displayed on two lines in the PA iOS version. Which makes just 6 entries per 6.3" display.
Having an option for brief, compact view with just one line per entry would be really great.
I know, there is search available, but, for example, between personal, work, prof associations, and other family accounts, I have 12 Google accounts / OTP entries in my current 2FA app. And even with the search, it'll be quite lengthy scrolling.

Extra points if a user can control font size directly :)
e.g. OTP Auth (https://cooperrs.de/otpauth.html) does allow that.

  9. Proton Authenticator portable

Is it possible to have a portable version of Proton Authenticator?
I would like Proton Authenticator to be runnable directly from a USB drive, with no data stored on the host computer, and with all sensitive information securely encrypted inside the application’s own directory (e.g. <usb_drive_root>\ProtonAuthenticator.UserData\EncryptedUserData.db).
Other applications, such as Firefox, already provide a fully portable mode that can be executed entirely from a USB drive. Having a similar option for an authentication app would significantly improve security when using shared devices or when you don’t want to leave sensitive data on the system.
This feature would also make data…

  12. Proton Pass with encrypted local database

Since I distrust all cloud-based services, Proton Pass is only an option for me if the data can be stored in a very well-encrypted local database!

  13. Allow new sections in login elements

In the basic login item you cannot add new sections, like in custom elements. Allow Section to be created inside a login element. The custom element doesnt provide that suport, since its not capable of saving a url nor viable to auto-completion.

  14. Proton pass - give more details about the data breach

When you receive an alert saying that your personal information and bank account have leaked with no more information (where it's available for example) it's highly stressful because it's useless (where the leak comes from for example, so I can at least update my personal info, change my payment info, etc.)

  15. Proton Authenticator "grouping" TOTP.

Proton Authenticator with the ability to "group" TOTP (a bit like folders and subfolders).
For example, I have a bunch of gmail codes being generated for different gmails. I would like them all to be collapsed into a "gmail" section. I click on it, then I see all my gmail codes.

  16. Nix flake

Nix is one of the most secure ways to distribute your app. Please create a Nix flake with linux and macOS support and have it maintained in the app's repo that users can add to their Nix configs.

This would provide the best end to end security, simplify updates and it's a very low effort feature for potentially a lot of new users.

  17. Use same pin as PC version of Pass

Hi - I have a comment regarding the Android version of Pass for possible future update. In the android version it allows for bio-metric unlocking with an option to use "system lock" when biometric fails and not the pin I have set up for the PC version/browser extension. The concern I have is that if someone has your mobile device pin they can now access your Pass account data. I think a lot of people are somewhat lax with their phone/tablet pins as they often let others(kids or significant others) log into their phone or tablet. It would be nice…

  18. Links for Passwords (Without Sharing)

It would be nice to have a function to generate links for passwords without sharing them. I like to include links to passwords in my documentation but I'm unable to create a direct link to a specific password.

  20. Feature enhancements for Proton Pass (custom fields, cloning, PIN, icons, phone numbers, identity photos)

I’d like to propose several usability improvements for Proton Pass, especially for the voice‑enabled workflow.

1️⃣ Custom Field Rearrangement – Drag‑and‑drop ordering of custom fields across login items, identities, and other item types. Improves visual hierarchy and speeds up data entry.

2️⃣ Clone Login Items – Add a “Duplicate” action for login entries. Reduces repetitive setup when creating similar accounts.

3️⃣ PIN Field for Logins – Dedicated “PIN” field next to username/password. Supports services that require a numeric PIN instead of a password.

4️⃣ Web Icons Consistency – Ensure every login item displays its site’s favicon reliably. Helps users locate credentials…
