Suggestion for improve clipboard
When copying a password, it should only be allowed to be pasted once, or automatically deleted from the clipboard after 20, 30, or 60 seconds (configurable time). If the user pastes the password somewhere, it should be immediately cleared from the clipboard to increase security and require a new copy if needed again.

Attachments
(at least 25mb) to logins and notes
In bitwarden we can attach (up to 500mb) files to login items, which is helpful if you want to capture screen shots for settings, restoration keys, or even evidence. Also helpful for things like optical prescriptions.
Attachments is the ONE missing feature preventing me from fulling moving into PP from Bitwarden.

Proton pass for developers
This idea comes from a perspective of a DevOps engineer and having the capability of not having to either host or pay for yet another secrets manager, I could just use my Proton Pass for that.
So Proton Pass could improve for their clients who are developers or technical teams by providing:
- Passwords from the CLI (which is already coming 2025 summer, but does it include a service account?)
- Kubernetes operators - Being able to access secrets from a kubernetes environment
- Proton Pass SDK - Being able to access secrets from within the code and use it…18 votesThis has been closed because of the launch of the Proton Pass CLI: https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-cli

Emergency Access feature (Digital Legacy)
It would be fantastic if Proton Pass introduced an emergency access or digital legacy feature to allow secure and private data to be accessed by trusted individuals in critical situations.
In my opinion, the way Bitwarden's Emergency Access feature works is excellent and could serve as a great model for this functionality.
I assume this feature may already be in development (as indicated in the roadmap), but I’m submitting this request so the community can vote on it and express interest.
Roadmap: "Give family or friends emergency access to your vaults. In the event that you’re not able to access…
5 votesWe have just launched Emergency Access for your Proton Account.
If you have a paid Proton plan, you can follow our Emergency Access steps to choose your emergency contacts right now. If you’d like to gain access to this feature and all other premium features, you can choose a new plan that supports them.

Identities
Like in Bitwarden how I can have my name, address, phone number, and email address all auto-fill, which are probably the most common fields right up there with login credentials and credit cards.
1,092 votesYou can now store and autofill identities: https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-identities-biometric-authentication
Rolling out gradually for all users. You may see the identities feature before being able to autofill, thanks for your patience!

Proton Pass Monitor: Dark Web Scanning, Password Health, Inactive 2FA
It would be nice to keep my vault healthy with secure passwords. A dashboard could help manage this. Most other password managers have features likes this.
947 votesHi everyone! We're happy to announce that Proton Pass Monitor is now available: https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-monitor
✨ Discover weak and reused passwords
✨ Find accounts with inactive 2FA

Import passwords form new Apple Passwords app
Apple recently released its new Passwords app on Mac OS and also iOS. Would it make sense to also list it on the "Import" page within Proton Pass?

Drag and drop between vaults
I want to drag and drop items from the vault list to another vault. It appears like the feature is almost there, but when I drop the item I am dragging on top of a vault nothing happens.

Separate 2FA into it's own application.
Currently, ProtonPass stores the 2FA secrets in the same place it stores login information.
Functionally, this means that there is no second factor. All necessary account access information is stored in one place, and is a single point of failure. If ProtonPass is ever compromised, the attacker would get full and total access.
To fix this, 2FA should be split into it's own separate application with it's own separate password.

Username and Email as separate fields
I have the same problem with Bitwarden. This is the only thing that would keep me from switching from Enpass. I don't want to have to create a custom field each time, and I'm sure many proton users have multiple emails to keep track of.
The way that Enpass does it is ideal IMO. When creating a login there’s separate fields for email, username, password, URL, phone number, security question/answer, tags, notes. Even though most of these will be unnecessary most of the time, they’re available in the creation menu, so you don’t have to add a new field each…
653 votesHi everyone, there is now a dedicated field for both email AND username.
Just tap the (+) icon to the left of the email field to reveal the username field.

Web App / Interface
The absence of a nice web interface, such as what you have for Proton Mail, Proton Drive makes this almost a non-starter for me. I imported several folders of password data through your excellent import tool, but then found myself returning to my old password tool because Proton Pass is just not maintainable via the small extension window provided. It's much easier for me to use a keyboard and monitor to do my maintenance rather than just phone app or via the small extension window. A good first effort...but some work on a web user interface is needed for sure.

Generate and GET aliases via CLI/REST API
Would love to be able to generate and query aliases in a programmatic way. Instead of having to log in via browser to get an alias, it would be possible to script ways to fetch an alias by querying the name or generating a new one.

Sync alias between SimpleLogin and Proton Pass
I have many aliases that I manage with SimpleLogin, it would be great for both services to be integrated. When making an SimpleLogin Alia’s it is added on Proton Pass and vice versa.
519 votesYou can now sync aliases between Proton Pass and SimpleLogin. This feature is rolling out now and will be available for everyone soon.
What's next? Soon you’ll be able to:
✨ manage custom domains and additional mailboxes
✨ send emails directly from an alias in Proton Pass
Here's how it works:
- Tap the 'sync aliases' button in Proton Pass
- Choose which vault to sync aliases to
- Aliases will continue to sync, and disabled aliases will be reflected in Proton Pass and SimpleLogin.

Safari Extension - macOS
It’s hard to argue that Safari is a major desktop browser, but I imagine it would be even harder to convince Safari users to part ways from iCloud Keychain when the only option to use Proton Pass on macOS is to install a new browser. Which is why an extension for Safari would be very much welcome. Perhaps even some smart integration with existing Proton Bridge? I’m sure your developers could cook up something nice for Safari users.
