Search shows total number of entries, regardless of category selected
When searching in Proton Pass it is possible to first select a preset category search filter such as 'Alias'. Each of these show the number of entries in that category. A label below these presets shows which is selected.
When a filter is selected, however, although the label below changes, the count beside this continues to show the total number of entries in Proton Pass, rather than changing to show the count in that category.

When searching in 'Custom' in Proton Pass, should show the correct subcategory icon, not the spanner icon
If adding a More/Custom entry, further templates are offered, such as Technology>Software Licence or Finance>Bank Account. Each of these has their own icon.

Add Subdivsions of 'Custom' as search presets
When adding to Proton Pass it offers preset types such as Login, Alias, More/Custom etc. These appear in Search as search presets.
If adding a More/Custom entry, further templates are offered, such as Technology>Software Licence or Finance>Bank Account. When searching though, these are not offered as search presets and cannot be added as such. It is necessary to search in 'All' or 'Custom' by keyword. I would like to be able to see eg. all software licences.

CLI PATs for AI agents with mandatory reason logging
As of Oct 2026, CLI personal access tokens support editor/manager roles for write access but don't require agents to provide reasons for each credential access. Meanwhile, Web UI AI tokens force reason logging but are read-only only.
Proposal: Add a --agent flag to pat access grant: pass-cli pat access grant --pat-name "AI Agents" --vault-name "Mimir" --role editor --agent When --agent is set, every credential retrieval via that token requires the caller to pass a --reason parameter, matching Web UI behavior while preserving write capability. This enables secure CI/CD pipelines where audit trails matter, not just home automation scripts.

Preserve sharing when moving items between vaults or folders
Currently, moving a shared password or other item to another vault or folder removes all existing shares. Everyone loses access, and I have to manually share the item again with each person.
Please preserve existing shares when moving items. This is especially frustrating with the new folder feature, which encourages reorganizing items but makes doing so unnecessarily painful when they're shared.

Move Folders
Currently it's not possible to move folders.
I would like to be able to move folders with subfolders and all there children to other vauls or folders. Ideally via drag and drop like it is already possible for single entities.1 vote -
Feature request: Display all items under a vault when the vault is clicked
Feature request: The new folders/subfolder features launched, this is truly great! However, when I click on the vault, I dont see any items anymore, I have to click on the folders to see them. I was expecting the vault to show "All items" I think this would be a good QOL improvement (Basic usage really)

Moving folders/subfolders by dragging
I am delighted that folders are finally available in Proton Pass.
What I still miss though, is the ability to move them around. It should be possible to move a folder to another vault, make one folder a subfolder of the other, move subfolders between folders etc. A standard drag and drop feature. For now it is only possible to move entries between folders but no folders themselves.1 vote -
Allow for longer lock timeouts in the Chrome extension
Right now, the longest lock timeout is 1 hour. During my workday, I'm very often needing to unlock the extension that I used not that long ago (but apparently more than 1 hour ago). I'd love to be able to configure a 4 hour lock timeout (+ auto-lock on system sleep / shutdown).
My scenario is also compounded because I use multiple browser profiles to segregate my personal browsing from various types of paid work. I'll be actively working in one profile, and then switch to another profile to handle something quickly and find that Proton Pass has locked itself.

Make Folders Available for Free
I was very excited to learn that Folders were in development due to Vaults being locked for Proton Pass paid plans. It is extremely disappointing that Folders are also locked behind a paywall. I already pay for Mail Plus, and it is not financially feasible nor practical to pay nearly double for Pass for only one feature. It should have been announced from the beginning that Folders were going to be paywalled. Please consider making at least 5 or 10 Folders for free (unlike the the 2 free Vaults which is pretty much useless when the Home counts as one).

macOS: Don't lock when closing to top bar
Please either add an option, or change the behavior of closing the macOS application to the top bar.
Currently it only stays unlocked if you hide it to your Dock (CMD+H). If you close the window to hide to the top bar (CMD+W) it immediately locks the vault.

Show user profile without unlocking the app
Hi,
One thing I like about using the default MS Edge Password Manager is that it goes like that:
- Go on website
- See that you have a profile.
- Click on profile
- Enter password/device biometric/Pin
- Autofill successful
The thing I don't like about Proton Pass is that if I lock my password behind a password or pin (still no Windows Hello support), I can't see that I have an account when I go on a website. Sure, I know where I have an account most of the time, but the problem is that it makes it less intuitive.

Proton Pass Portable (offline, executable from a USB drive)
As a Proton Pass user who works across many machines, some of them offline, locked down, or not my own, I want a portable version of Proton Pass that runs from a USB drive or other removable device, with my encrypted vault stored locally on it, so that I can reach my passwords securely without installing software, signing in through a browser, or relying on an internet connection.
Context:

Append or prepend OTP to password autofill
In Pass you can set password and OTP. For auto-fill it would be great to be able to append (or prepend) the OTP to the password for web access such as OPNsense.
i.e. the autofill for the password field on the web page would be:
