pass-cli on macOS: Touch ID unlock instead of login keychain password prompts
On macOS, pass-cli stores its local session key ("ProtonPassCLI") in the legacy file-based login keychain. Every pass-cli call that needs the key shows two separate password dialogs ("wants to access key" and "wants to use your confidential information"), and both need the full login password.
The item's access rules are pinned to the binary's exact build hash (cdhash). The Homebrew build is ad-hoc signed, so every update changes the hash and brings both prompts back. Clicking "Always Allow" is the only way to avoid them, and it removes the per-use check completely.

Require pin or password to show stored passwords
When viewing a password in chrome extension no unlock is needed. I would like proton to ask for password or pin when anyone wants to see passwords or disable possibility to view password entirely

Prioritize login accounts
I often have multiple login credentials for a site (family, personal, work, etc). It would be really helpful to be able to search by domain/app for multiple logins and then ultimately be able to prioritize 1 as primary over the others.

Make it possible to preview attachments to Proton Pass entries.
Make it possible to preview attachments (JPG or PDF) to Proton Pass entries. This would save time and effort by eliminating the need to download an attachment to view it. Proton Drive supports this feature for file previews.

Restrict the selection of special characters in passwords
There are websites that do not allow all special characters in passwords, but only certain ones. So far, in Proton Pass, I can only enable or disable special characters entirely. It would be helpful if the password generator also offered the option to restrict the selection to specific special characters (e.g. those copied from a website).

This new Enpass feature would be very useful in Proton Pass
Secure Input now deactivates when focus shifts away from Enpass on macOS. Previously, Enpass would occasionally leave "Secure Input" mode active after the app was locked or launched at startup. This prevented other applications from detecting global keyboard shortcuts and blocked the system emoji picker.

Support not only hotspot click for http, but also command line (cmd://..)
Currently we use keepass in our company to store SAP connections and logon credentials. In keepass its possible not only to store http adresses in the url field, but also command lines (cmd://).
This is essential for us to easily logon to the system.As I want to have proton rolled out company wide, this is a must have feature.

Update Mechanism Mac Broken
Update Mechanism shows no available updates although there is a new version. This is even worse than having no update mechanism at all, as it misleads users into thinking they are on the latest version.

Allow disabling browser Native Messaging (extension integration) on Linux
On startup, Proton Pass installs native messaging hosts for all major browsers. This causes clutter in the user's home folder and browser configuration, creates a wider attack surface and leaves artifacts that remain after Proton Pass is uninstalled.
This should be configurable in the application settings and on initial run, with an option like 1Password's "Connect with 1Password in the browser" option. Disabling this option would remove existing native messaging hosts and prevent them from being generated on startup.

Prioritize Email Addresses or Usernames When Autofilling
When editing a login, the user should be given the option to either prioritize the email address, or the username when autofilling.
I would appreciate this feature in a situation where the service I'm using only allows the email address or the username when logging in. For logins with a valid email address and a valid username, and the service in which the login supports only allows the email address when logging in, I manually have to open Proton Pass and copy the email address, then paste it, because Proton Pass always prioritizes the bar for the email address with…

In the Unlock screen, make "Sign out" either confirm when you click on it or move the button further away.
The "Sign out" option is too close to the "unlock" button. If you accidentally press it in this screen you're forced to log all the way back in and re-setup everything. It's a giant pain and not very useful to begin with. At least make it confirm or even better put it in a place like at the bottom of the box so it's harder to accidentally click on it.

Feature request: Swiss-hosted VPS service
Hi Proton team,
I'm a paying customer and really happy with how secure your services are.
I work in cybersecurity, mainly incident response, DevSecOps, and full-stack development. I've been looking for a VPS provider with servers hosted in Switzerland, because I trust Swiss privacy laws more than any other jurisdiction.
It would be great if Proton offered a VPS service. I would gladly pay for it as part of my subscription or as an add-on.

Unlink Password Autofill from TOTP Autofill toggle in browser extension
I use Proton Pass exclusively for TOTP codes, while using another product for my passwords & passkeys. As such, I only want to enable autofill for TOTP codes, but right now, that cannot be enabled without also enabling password autofill. I'm using Firefox on macOS.

I want to like and use Proton Pass - i just cant
You make moving from something simple like Apple Passwords impossible.
There is no direct transfer from Apple Passwords ... like with Bitwarden.I have to export to a plain text CSV, then somehow get that CSV securely yo a laptop, THEN again, transfer it into Proton Pass ... and after all that, it made a mess of the file.
Not only is this complicated, it doesn't even work right in the end. Wasted hours+ of my time just to find out I need to use Bitwarden.
If you want to stay competitive, make the interfaces universally compatible.

Would like a move + copy button next to select of items
Some items I like to share in different Vaults meant for sharing with different people. The sharing items are simular.
Now I can only select items and they are moved to the other Vault (leaving the original Vault empty). User unfriendly; make next to select also a copy or move button. Makes my live simple.

Hide the generated password while creating a login item
One security improvement suggestion: make a change such that when generating a (new) password in creating or editing a login item, the generated password is NOT shown in plain text before saving the login item unless the user toggles a button to see it.
(Obfuscating the password generated while creating or editing a login item while making it optionally viewable is how the Apple Passwords app behaves, as an example.) Hola amigos de Proton, me gustaría que añadan la opción para importar las contraseñas desde True Key de McAfee, no sé si será posible que hagan equipo con ese antivirus pues es el que utilizo, de no ser posible, sí me gustaría que incluyan la opción para el .cvs me disculpo si al añadir este comentario lo hago en español, creo cada vez es mayor la comunidad de habla hispana que manejamos PC y aunque entendamos el inglés, ampliar la comunicación también ayuda a que se expandan los horizontes de alcance que ustedes pueden tener.

Deleting aliases on SimpleLogin
Deleting an alias on Proton Pass does not delete the alias on SimpleLogin. I don't know if this is a bug or an intended feature, but the user should be able to choose whether to delete the alias on SimpleLogin as well. Now when I delete an alias in Proton Pass, I still have to go to SimpleLogin and manually delete it there. That's not user-friendly.
