How can we improve Proton Pass?

  1. Allow user to edit App colours / layout

    The settings in the window app are very limited and it is not possible to customise very much. For example, compared to some password managers, the app has a very dull appearance (purple and black) and it would be nice if the colour scheme could be changed, or the size of the panels changed. In my view, the App is not very mature and needs more work to compete with 1password etc.

  2. Pricing is unclear

    You are selling ProtonPass at "60% off" which is $1.99 a month but the FULL price is $4.99 which would make ProtonPass the most expensive on the market. This puts me off buying as you may remove the 60% discount at any point in the future. Just be clear about what you will be charging your customers and forget this "60% off" nonsense!!

  4. Passkey improvement

    When you want to make a passkey for example on github, proton automatically pops up with a menu to create a passkey. But what if you prefer passkeys on a physical key? Well, you're currently screwed. Add a option like it is when you are signing in with a passkey, that when you close the pop up, default windows hello popup will apear, where you can use a physical key. Thank you so much.

  5. Functionalities from Enpass

    As an Proton Unlimited user i'd like to switch from Enpass to Proton Pass, but the functionalities from Enpass are much better f.e. multiple passwords for 1 entry, possibility of reordering fields, file attachments, identities etc.

    Would be great to see those functions also in Proton Pass

  6. Ability to track card usage across sites / apps

    When a card is autofilled with Proton Pass, file the website or app under the card. So that in case of the card being compromised, the user can investigate further where the breach happened and replace the card on the legitimate websites.

  7. Show full title on hover when using autofill and extension

    I have several items with long titles which differ on the last few characters, for example:
    1. "some site item user adam foo bar admin"
    2. "some site item user adam foo bar normal user"
    3. "some site item user adam foo bar anon user"
    ... etc.
    When autofill window popups on login page all long titles are shortened to for example:
    1. "some site item..."
    2. "some site item..."
    3. "some site item..."
    ... etc.
    and there is NO popup on mouse hover to distinguish between them.
    The same issue exists in browser extension popup window - too less…

  8. More than 10 domains for paid accounts

    Currently, I (happily) pay for the highest type of account offered by Proton - The Business Visionary plan. It offers some truly amazing things, and I believe I may be getting some extras because of how long I've had the account. However, one thing that has SEVERELY causes issues with me is the 10 DOMAIN EMAIL LIMIT.

    On more than one occasion I've found myself having to search through my inboxes and delete all emails associated to a domain that I must 'sacrifice' to the email gods so that I can activate another domain for a while. This is obviously…

  9. Automated backups

    All my passwords and accounts and notes over 400 saved accounts annd passwrods. Someone used my computer to delete everything now when i login today. I cant find any function in the settings any backup of of the passwords. Tjhere should be a function that automaticlly do dailily backups becuase this passwords and accounts on Proton Passwords is one of the most imöortant information that most been protected and backuped automaticlly.   10. Retain favicon setting in web app

    When you lock proton pass, the default resets back to View Favicons... I find viewing Fav's VERY annoying .. Can you set Favicons to remember your choice and NOT default to VIew Favs after you open again. Would be awesome ! Thank you

  11. Fully offline mode with cloud synced option

    I would like to see Proton Pass have an option for a fully offline password manager toggle. During the initial setup, it should allow you to pick between Proton Pass servers, or a way to make an end to end encrypted password that would be used to store a copy of the vault's data on iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox etc. Then an option to make the password manager fully offline.   13. Right-click to copy and paste on desktop

    Proton Pass desktop application (windows) cannot right-click (mouse) to copy and paste notes/url in it.
    This makes it difficult when you want to open the saved website.
    This feature may be mandatory to implement.

  14. Import and export entire vault from clipboard

    blue shield competitor implements import vault from pasting content you have on clipboard, if they meet the structure of what you selected, It'd be cool if proton pass implemented same thing.

    exporting to a html text input, example, and also importing from a text input :)

  17. Better UI for extension window

    There are many things that makes the extension popup not user friendly.
    First of all, it keeps the same design as the web app as it is not displayed with the same size. This makes it really not readable. On this point, the extension popup is far better and user friendly in Bitwarden. A last point is about the contrast of colors in dark themes. The red and blue colors are not very contrasted on black background especially if text is not bold. This makes it difficult to read. The green used in Monokai theme is more readable. A mix…

  18. Show entropy and how many years to hack the password in the password generator and in the saved logins.

    It would be awesome to see the entropy of a password created in the password generator. Along with seeing how many characters the password is and how many years it would take to hack. Lastly this feature should extend to created logins and also when a hidden field is created the user can enable the hidden field to act like a password. Which would then show the entropy and how strong the hidden field is.
